Knew something similar to this existed but not with a gun mounted on it, pretty cool and gives them a better defence and the miles are actually impressive for its size
Yas queen
that MG would need some serious upkeep with that salt water exposure
@@MN-ke5uuif they can do it throughout WW2 with a bofors or Flak 30 and 38's im sure it wont be to much of a problem there, unless the recruits are bone idle and lazy or entitled?!,for instance youd be marching round the parade holding a 25 pounder shell above yer head for dusty boots, so proofing the GIMPY will come into the job discription i should imagine...
Back then, it was used to infiltrate docks during WW2. Earned the nickname of "Pig" in the process
@@MN-ke5uu Its an old swedish FN MAG, ive used it. This is just for promo.
I had no idea these even existed. Cool!
Swimmer delivery vehicles have been about since the 80s/90s. probably just not as good >
It's high level waterproof electronic/ electrical navigation control submerged in water without short circuit or malfunction it's really something cool
Ip68 rated
My Grandad was a North Sea trawler skipper as WW2 started. He ended up skippering a RNR armed trawler. During the follow up operations & patrolling around the port of Taranto, Italy following the allied invasion. My Grandads boat detected a submerged craft inside the netted port. At the time they were unaware but this was an italian Navy mini submarine operating inside the netted area of the port. The following night they detected what was thought to be the German U-Boat returning to collect the crew of the mini sub. They engaged this with depth charges. He was mentioned in despatches. If you have an interest in these craft, then you must read the book "the real x-men". The Italian Navy were pioneers in this clandestine level of operations. This is a tremendous craft, the concept is old but the delivery is new, and boy does is it work.
Thanks for sharing your story.
Your grand dad must have been discovered a " majale" sdv or the pig due to being difficult to pilot it, the Italian scubamen were innovators in ww2, then the Nazis followed and the allies, must habe been incredible for him to discover some advanced technology for it's time
I've actually heard briefly of the stuff the Italian Navy had at that time.
Thanks for sharing your Grandad's experience. I'm sure he had a few stories to tell. I can't even imagine what he saw during WW2. God bless him and his brave shipmates for their service to the US and Europe in aiding in the defeat of the Axis powers.
A 1940's 'X-Craft' on steroids! 💪
That was what popped into my head as well!
100% 👍👍
That is some nifty kit.
My only question is this. Does it have a boiling vessel for tea time?
No the Sweds don't drink tea that much so no.
@@yamahaevo Yes but we drink an absurd amount of coffee
Good implementation
WW2 "X" Craft ( "Chariot") idea resurrected. A good idea then, a good idea now. The SF community will have a lot of fun training with this.
Those good ol' boys from WW2 knew a good idea when they saw it. 😊😊
SBS sf force just got a new toy!
already part of the inventory with the US Navy SEALs
@@al28854 Is it? I can't find any info on that. Didn't do a deep dive on it though (pun not intended).
These used to be called 'swimmer delivery vehicles' and they've been around for decades.
The difference is the above-surface high-speed capability and the mounted weapon
There are still SDV’s. Doesn’t mean other type like vehicles can be build. Or should’ve we stopped with the first car/airplane/train?
This was tested in sweden a couple years ago
The swedes makes some cool stuff 👍🏻
These are cool, we've been using them a while now.
just say US Navy SEALs
The inventors of this were the Italians with the XMAS, first SBS invtge world and usued in WW2. They done heavy damage to the ROYAL NAVY in Alexandria.
When Italy changed sides, the ROYAL NAVY asked for their XMAS help and also copued tgeir invention and called theirs the CHARRIOT.
The majale was the first sdv, Italian of course
The maintenance and repair costs must be over the roof...
That’s pretty damn cool I must admit
Amazing 👏
Damn this takes me back to 2009 modern warfare 2 the mission where you assault the oil rig with a similar vehicle.
So basically a Modern U-bout but small, few, and stealthy underwater boat.
uboats could go to hundreds of feet below and had large crews for open water, this is not it
Badass 🦭🦭🦭
Are they available for private hire at the weekends?
Actually the Swedish company that make these and similar do rent out or take out tourists.
I want one
Cool 😎
This is what Makes Navy SEALS the best of the best
Not american
Swedish 👍🏻
A much improved X-craft
looks like an Italian CB midget submarine from ww2
Navigating must be hell in that
Why? In two of the three modes you could use GPS and subarines have been navaigating under water for many decades.
Should we really be telling the world about all this secret kit we have?
It's not made by the military, it's a commercial product, so you can literally look up the specifications on the manufacturers website.
But I'm still totally in agreement with you.
get down dover stop em all coming in SIR
Tactical diving 🤿?
Next: stealth paratrooper carriers
X craft / Pig Chariots from WW2
Does it have Wi-Fi?
LOL! The new generation of X-craft have arrived!
already part of the inventory with the US Navy SEALs
It should have a waterproof javelin and MPADS onboard or at least a dry compartment to store them.
Are the Sbs finally getting some new kit
Well the SDVs have been out of service for a while now so I wonder what they've been using 😇
@@JammyDodger45Are you claiming the SBS SDVs are out of service?
@@cheekboy7247 - yes.
But you may want to think a bit laterally before replying.
If you know you know. .
I hope they don't trust the OEMs claim on the range, as finding a charger is gonna be hard, not to mention inconvenient 😂
pretty sure they ran a few tests on them dude.
Super awesome. Just surprised that it wasn't developed sooner.
theyve been around for a while my dude
Super interesting and well put together video but in 2024 do we really need to be told what GPS stands for? :p
Needs dragon fire death ray fitted
I hope the shark 🦈 don’t came for them and says hello 😂😂
Saw one of these last week. I told the guys I wasn’t terrorist they apologized and left peacefully.
Im in Mexico. I would like to order 50 of them for classified reasons. 😂
AH, yes. Taking advantage of the very latest in Mexican Cartel technological advancements. Makes sense.
Sorta like SDVs but better in a way
How many are out there missing in action ?
Is this not a re upload?
Yes, it is. An old clip with some added narration.
@@CrollyVonHalfman okay thanks
Noice! 👍🏻
Cost?
I almost bought a mini sub one time. Would have been one of my dumbest purchases ever.
"Adjustable tactical mast."
Bruh, its a periscope.
Helmsman
Why is the water inside? Does it benefit with anything?
What happens in very very rare cases when the water is muddy or unclean to see controls clearly or when the water is too cold for comfort or just plain boring since humans aren't meant for water?
its not pressurized probably for ease of entry/exit and operating weapons
@@ruskiessuck3337 but wouldn't it make sense not to have water inside like a submarine?
The MOD will buy 2 and the troops won’t be allowed to use them. I served 01 - 08 and we didn’t even have enough land rover WMIK 😂
In water on the inside?
Drug cartels driving submarine production makes this a useful item to help seek and destroy those operations.
what happens when a enemy warship pings its sonar near them??
Man, that sure looks expensive!
Waste of money.
But where do you park it
X-Craft 2024 ;-)
It's such a stupid idea on so many levels I have a hard time this is going to be used at all by any advanced tactical team.
New German U boat
Will it ever be used tho doubtful
built for SF teams so, you will never know
probably attached to some tactical subs right now in the gulf.
Go find the 2 missing seal team members!!
Yes but water cold
Should it be broadcasted so that enemy can learn from it?
Now if someone could just turn on the heater please.
This is swedish?
Yes it is
Maybe we Germans will get the financing to buy 10 in 20 years?@@novefurubymanitski3722
Being wet and cold is a miserable way to go into a mission.
Unbelievable the amount of money n effort gone into this! What’s it for?
How about we just stop fighting each other.
Yeah, but where's the poop deck?
Is that why they still can’t find those two hapless Navy SEALs that went missing in the Red Sea? Too much stealth? 😂
Whoever said war was safe?
That is a laughing matter is it?
@@nightjarflying Yes it is… 😐
How is this funny? It's comments like this that make friendly fire headlines a little less sad.
I bet the bathroom is a tight squeeze 🙃
Sent them to Texas patrol the border we need them !
Pero todo esto bien lejos de los Rusos, que no se asustan😅
Yeah unfortunately I have a beard and claustrophobia
Looks like a narco sub
Штука любопытная, но только там, где водичка тёплая.
Летом-то - везде можно, а вот зимой... Ведь ледового класса у такого плавсредства нет. Не так ли?
It's a Swedish construction and as long as the water is open you can use dry suits, so yes you can use it other then summers.
@@AndyWoohoo666 Да: очень похоже на то, что идея - шведская (из Швеции).
@@mihalich7740
The company have existed since the early 90's but changed name a couple of times. This Seal Carrier has been used by Swedish military since around 2010-2011.
The founder is an old colleague to me from the Swedish armed forces/ Coastal Ranger School.
@@AndyWoohoo666 Thanks to this notification! =)))
@@mihalich7740
You are welcome.
There's your tic tac shape vehicle or uap and pretty sure they would have the capability to launch drones from it
The idea is interesting. But with regards to real trying on, it seems just a toy.
Is this British ? Or American?
US, the Uk cant afford to ,move one carrier this year.
It's made by a British company so you can guess which countries operate it 🤷🏻♂️
Wrong. It is made by a Swedish company close to Stockholm. You can literally see Stockholm archipelago in the background.@@JammyDodger45
It's developed by JFD Sweden in Stockholm.
JFD is a British company, it does have an office in Sweden but it's not in Stockholm.
Total süß.

Are we not copying the Chinese ?
That's exactly what Sevastopol could do with not seeing.Slav Ukraine
narco seals
Man... Those narco drug running subs have gotten impressive!
Where do you go to the toilet ?
same place all divers go.
?
Geez the drug smugglers are way ahead, they can travel 100’s of miles and their vehicles are built in the jungle for a fraction of the price
All america power is from Texas taxepayers. You should never forget it
Isn't California's tax revenue higher than that of Texas? Any way, "all America" ANYTHING isn't paid exclusively by a single state, so your comment should really be forgotten.😊
@CrollyVonHalfman ya calipornie revenue is almost from hollywoodien and jerk business, it still all can collapse just by a single little virus.
Texas is the hardeware of all the nation
Heard this is the worst mission you will be on
Hiroshima y nagasaki usa #1
Mini-subs are nothing new.
Lol this is a drug sub they took from some Columbian fellas. They probably made that wearing flip flops and shorts no shirts.
Is this meant to scare the Houthis 😂😂😂😂
An old weapon. But give it to Ukraine!
🤡
Wird kein Erfolg...😂.
