You can put cooked garbanzo beans on a baking tray and roast them in the oven - season with salt and whatever you like, and spray a bit of oil on them a few minutes before the roasting finishes. They're a delicious and healthy snack that way :)

Roasted garbanzo beans, make a great snack, you can add whatever spices you want or just leave them plain. I like them really nice and crunchy. Very dry, as a substitute for popcorn sometimes. Have a great week ahead and again thank you for sharing your life with us. 24:30

I need to rearrange/reorganize my office. It is such a daunting job that I keep putting it off. I love hearing Baby Firefly in the background. It is hard to believe that he will be one soon. Time is a thief when it comes to our little loves and them growing up. I often find that I have forgotten to finish up a job/chore. But it’s okay. Many years ago, cleaning houses...went to a 6 hour job, 3 hours in I sat down to finish my cold coffee. I suddenly realized...I was at the wrong house for that day. Yup. The correct one for that day was a 5 hour job. Yupper 🤦♀️ That's just one example of my many talents 😂😂😂 Also...in my neck of the woods...pigs in a blanket are hotdogs or sausage in pancakes - or - in cornmeal//deep fried or baked in muffin tins (super easy) All are served with maple syrup or jam 😋😋😋

Hi Chana! I used to make dump cake all the time. I would put a 12 or 16 oz bag of frozen fruit, any kind, in the pan, then a box of cake mix on top of that. Then I would add approximately 14 ozs of Coke Zero or Sprite Zero or some other zero soft drink. My husband loved it. His favorite was raspberry and chocolate cake with Coke Zero. He is diabetic now, and the artificial sweeteners in the mixes upset his stomach, so I need to figure out a way to make the cake part from scratch. Maybe for his birthday. Have a good week!
Hi again! I was in Walmart yesterday, on the baking aisle, and I found a gluten free brownie mix made by Duncan Hines. It was also sugar free, sweetened with allulose. And it was kosher. I think I’m going to try making the dump cake with it. 😊
So I think of a task begin to walk into the next room to do that task and only do that task. And by the time I've walked into that room, I see something else that needs to be done and completely forget about the task. Yeah, forgetting... I feel ya!

No we have too much Emerson on issues I think so basements are very rare here. Also, we have so much space to spread out as a single story, it’s not really necessary for space either. I miss having one though!
Here in the UK pigs in blankets are sausages wrapped in bacon whilst sausages in puff pastry are simply called sausage rolls😊. Typically we have pigs in blankets with our Christmas Turkey dinner although obviously can have them any time of year. I love watching your meal prep and cooking as always interested in the sort of meals you eat over there compared to here in Wales. We call those beans chick peas 😉. Thanks for sharing x
Sausage rolls might be a better name for an orthodox Jew to use! I read a lot of British books and sausage rolls turn up often, but I didn't realize they were made with puff pastry. Thanks for clarifying that. Where I grew up in California, pigs in blankets were sausages rolled in pancakes.

I love pancakes but as I have a sweet tooth I love them with syrup. I always put currants in mine and after cooked squeeze on lemon juice and roll in sugar! Yummy x

So honestly it was more like a cobbler, and I didn’t love it. My husband and I thought it tasted too much like butter, but the kids couldn’t get enough of it lol. I think I might have liked different fruit better 🤷🏼♀️ it was fun to try, but I don’t think I’ll make it again

As usual, I love all that you put into your videos. I must say, tho, as I remember "pigs" in a blanket is a term from a non kosher way of eating. Trying to think of an alternate name... maybe 'dogs' in a blanket, even tho they are not kosher either, I tend to cringe less hearing that one. I need to rearrange/reorganize my office. It is such a daunting job that I keep putting it off. I love hearing Baby Firefly in the background. It is hard to believe that he will be one soon. Time is a thief when it comes to our little loves and them growing up.
I often find that I have forgotten to finish up a job/chore. But it’s okay. It is always there waiting for me to finish up when I remember.

Oh yes, there are times when we all forget to finish somethings! Just the other night, we were having banana splits for dessert and when I got up the nest morning, there stood the spray whipped cream on the counter! Had to throw it away. Thank you for sharing your days with us!

I love dump cake! My mom made it all the time when I was growing up for family gatherings.

I once forgot to put my skirt on when I was going to work and walked out to the car in my slip, but fortunately I noticed as I was getting into the car. 😂 But I had a few words to say to my husband, whom I'd spoken to and kissed good-bye on my way out, and he never noticed I wasn't wearing my skirt! 😀

LOL Yeah, I love it when life happens and plans just go poof! We're doing pretty good here. People are coming today to demo our water damaged floors and walls. Then we need to get a contractor to make it all better. I've had to pull deep from my well of "and that's okay" for a few days now. 🙃 My dive into learning to watercolor has taken an abrupt pause due to the disruption and that's okay! 😁 I bought green beans at the store to make your version. Many years ago, cleaning houses...went to a 6 hour job, 3 hours in I sat down to finish my cold coffee. I suddenly realized...I was at the wrong house for that day. Yup. The correct one for that day was a 5 hour job. Yupper 🤦♀️ That's just one example of my many talents 😂😂😂 Also...in my neck of the woods...pigs in a blanket are hotdogs or sausage in pancakes - or - in cornmeal//deep fried or baked in muffin tins (super easy) All are served with maple syrup or jam 😋😋😋

Hi Chana! I used to make dump cake all the time. I would put a 12 or 16 oz bag of frozen fruit, any kind, in the pan, then a box of cake mix on top of that. Then I would add approximately 14 ozs of Coke Zero or Sprite Zero or some other zero soft drink. My husband loved it. His favorite was raspberry and chocolate cake with Coke Zero. He is diabetic now, and the artificial sweeteners in the mixes upset his stomach, so I need to figure out a way to make the cake part from scratch. Maybe for his birthday. Have a good week!
You know I think your recipe sounds better! Ours (to me and my husband, the kids loved it) tasted too much like butter.
Hi again! I was in Walmart yesterday, on the baking aisle, and I found a gluten free brownie mix made by Duncan Hines. It was also sugar free, sweetened with allulose. And it was kosher. I think I’m going to try making the dump cake with it. 😊

No we have too much Emerson on issues I think so basements are very rare here. Also, we have so much space to spread out as a single story, it’s not really necessary for space either. I miss having one though!

Here in the UK pigs in blankets are sausages wrapped in bacon whilst sausages in puff pastry are simply called sausage rolls😊. Typically we have pigs in blankets with our Christmas Turkey dinner although obviously can have them any time of year. I love watching your meal prep and cooking as always interested in the sort of meals you eat over there compared to here in Wales. We call those beans chick peas 😉. Thanks for sharing x

I read a lot of British books and sausage rolls turn up often, but I didn't realize they were made with puff pastry. Thanks for clarifying that.
Where I grew up in California, pigs in blankets were sausages rolled in pancakes.

I love pancakes but as I have a sweet tooth I love them with syrup. I always put currants in mine and after cooked squeeze on lemon juice and roll in sugar! Yummy x

So honestly it was more like a cobbler, and I didn’t love it. My husband and I thought it tasted too much like butter, but the kids couldn’t get enough of it lol. I think I might have liked different fruit better 🤷🏼♀️ it was fun to try, but I don’t think I’ll make it again

Almost at 6 week mark of hip replacement. I will soon be able to drive !! I have been spoiled by everyone else cooking but to tell the truth I miss making the things we love...tacos, spaghetti, soups, etc...

As usual, I love all that you put into your videos. I must say, tho, as I remember "pigs" in a blanket is a term from a non kosher way of eating. Trying to think of an alternate name... maybe 'dogs' in a blanket, even tho they are not kosher either, I tend to cringe less hearing that one. Kind of like calling deviled eggs, stuffed eggs instead. Regardless, creative meals as always for your Shabbat table! Beteavon!
