I watched a very good video recently where the CZcamsr asked a pile of women to look at a selection of cheap and luxury watches. They were asked to pick the most expensive. Most picked the cheaper ones as the most expensive and their personal favourites over the luxury watches.
I personally buy watches I love with zero thought as to what others will think of my choices. I don’t want a woman who gives me her number because she thinks I’ve got money, those are the women I’d rather avoided esp as I have no money because I spend it on luxury watches 😂😂

My wife noticed my watch right off when she met me. But then, while not wearing a big-time rolex expensive watch, I was wearing the true original simple and elegant Movado Museum Watch which was actually featured in the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) -- so she noted it right off. The rest, as they say, is history. Now other than MOMA, she doesn't get into watches with me. BUT, since finding your channel, we watch your vids together since you have such beautiful shots of Italy and camera work and cool, friendly narrations. She and I just returned to Colorado, USA from her birthday trip to Italy (Rome, Positano, and Pompeii). This was a follow-up to a previous vacation to Milan, Florence, Venice, and Bolzano. We love it, and you bring us right back -- the watch integration with the cities really bring the cities to life -- these watches are very representative of the feel of those ancient and historic cities -- the likes of which we don't have here in the US. By the way, my very favorite camera scene you use is the "pouring the glass of water at the outdoor café" scene! Also, I checked out your Mrnorth band -- I can't believe I never ran into it before -- if you knew me, you'd know it was right up my alley (though I'm not a very good music aficionado). Best regards.

I've complimented men's watches a couple of times, but they instantly take it to "hey so what are you doing tonight" when I just want to have a chat about watches. So I no longer compliment nice watches, but I do notice them.
If he's even wearing a watch (that's not Apple), it's a plus. If it's automatic, then better. If I recognize the brand and know it to be decent, even better.
What you say about looking the part is very true... if it's a Rolex, and the person doesn't look like they can afford one (or are young), it's easy to assume that it's fake. If I just met someone, I don't know if they're wearing it as a status symbol, so it can be a turnoff, too.
It is true that a lot of women don't care about watches, but there are more of us than men seem to think. I can't speak for the bar scene though--I don't go to those or understand the subculture.

So true about women not noticing watches. It’s never happen to me at least. On the other hand I’ve had men a few times at the bar and Casino complement my watch. Usually they are wearing a watch as well. Cheers! Great vid yet again!

Accurate observation to be sure. I’ll point out that an Omega with the He escape valve is noticed by the average Joe or Jane as easily as the cyclops. They don’t always know how expensive these watches are, but they’ve heard of the brands.

I’ve only had one person notice the watch I was wearing. Not my Submariner. Not my two-tone Datejust. Not even my Tudor GMT. Only my Steinhart Ocean One Ceramic which I wear when I’m doing something that might damage one of my good watches and it was a young salesman in a cell phone store....who complimented me on my “Rolex”. I did take the time to explain to him that although it was a perfectly good timepiece....it was by no means a Rolex.

The only watch i can remember girls noticing on me is my red g shock probably because of the size and the color standing out, none of my Rolexes or omegas or bulovas. Years ago before i was into watches, I do remember one girl i was dating for awhile seemed to keep looking at my Casio watch when we were talking probably trying to read the brand on the dial, eventually i said it was my Casio the conversation did kinda deflate lol😂😂😂

There is a difference between a man noticing a woman's handbag and a woman noticing a Rolex on a man. Women are generally more interested in status and men are generally more interested in looks and couldn't care less about status of a beautiful woman. Based on this I would say it would be more likely for a woman to notice a Rolex on a man than it would be for a man to notice an expensive handbag carried by a woman, since the Rolex is a signal of high status and some women will be aware of this.

Actually my lady would be upset if I had a Rolex. She knows the marketing game that Rolex plays. It’s left a bad taste in her mind. She does love Omega. When she walks into an Omega boutique, she is treated with unbelievable class and typically timepieces that are available.

Guys confuse this all the time. It’s not about the money. The Rolex and the Porsche are just symbols of success. A woman wants a man who is out there crushing it at life. The watch and the car just helps her understand quicker that she’s not wasting her time with a deadbeat. She might be far wealthier than you and still be impressed about your “cheap” Rolex watch because she can see you’re a winner. Women like winners. Some are greedy, but most just want to get with the alpha male.

No girls here are impressed by those things (most of them these days have the same watch and bank account).
