  • Completed the pulley gear, about 1 to 15 ratio, diameter of magnet rotor shaft is 8mm the red disk is 120mm. This engine with current configuration wasn't strong enough to run the gear. I know I can put a smaller flywheel but I'm not happy with the results
I have tried different length rubber bands, ie tight and loose but still no good.
I am still waiting for the stainless steel canisters.
I have learnt quite a lot from building this project, most of the parts
was scavenged off my other projects, example the Red flywheel had rectangle magnets in it, I built many years ago.
May try using the whole top of the can as a latex piston, and move the hose to the side of the can, may also try larger size hose. There's other things to think about, for instance the stroke is 20mm
may try to increase this as well will continue on...

Hi baware thank you, the old saying.. "use it or lose it"....ive decided to build another using stainless steel canister, i'll continue on...

Hi Simon, yes there are different things i can change to make this stronger, i only made this engine 3 weeks ago and just kept adding to it, like the flywheel. if you want the plans I mention in video 14 the link i found on this engine, there are many videos there of different ones people have built, here is the link:- stirlingtechnology.blogspot.com then type metronome in search field top left. I will keep going with this project, try different things
