Partial Embossing with Embossing Folders

- Today, I showed you a couple of ways to do the Partial Embossing Technique! This technique allows you to create space for greetings and to mix and match more than one embossing folder together. In one card, I showed you how to finish off the edge with some scoring and I left the other one just as it was because the edge was so pretty! Dig through your embossing folders and see what you can come up with. I hope you'll give it a try!

Those cards are gorgeous! ❤
Love the introductory song.
I became obsessed with the Tapestry embossing folder with that finished edge. I received mine today and am going to make some card sets this weekend. I was so inspired by this video! Thanks so much for always offering us new ways to use our stashes and make gorgeous cards to share.
Thank you Gina and Tom you make beautiful music together while creating these wonderful cards!! ❤
Oh I have to use black border now that Gina has this lovely addition! Thank you Gina
Love the way you’ve doubled embossed these cards. They’re both beautiful… 💜
Love these cards, Gina. Your videos are awesome. I enjoy Tom's playing in the background. When I watch your videos it's like you and I are in the same room. Thank you so much for sharing and for all the tips.
Great job, Gina. Very useful techniques. To easily identify the top, bottom, & alternate sides of a die, stencil, or embossing folder, I put a dot of brightly colored nail polish on the lower right hand corner of my item. I always know the orientation with that little dot as my guide. The nail polish stays in place when I wash the stencils, etc. For my Master layouts sets, I color code each piece of a set with a dot of the same color of nail polish. Be certain to put the same color of dot on a storage pocket for each set. Works great for me!
Your creations always turn out so elegant. Love the atmosphere both of you create on your demos. What a great way to use embossing folders! Will be fun to experiment using two on one card. Thanks for the inspiration! 💖👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻👍🏼
The cards are quite lovely! I’m especially fond of the pink one. Great technique and it’s as if the Tapestry EF was made specifically for split embossing the way you get that organic flowing edge! Beautiful! Thank you both for a great video! Tom I hope your throat feels 100% better!
Love these and inspiration to make them yea❤😊
That Tapestry pattern is so PRETTY. I guess it will be one of those patterns and stamps that I´ll keep forever. It´s the favorite no 1 all time 😍
Gina, you are so amazing. I love just watching your videos. I just love when you use the black cardstock. Love you Gina..
Small quick tip...when you do the side embossing (like card 2), you can use your washhii tape to mark how far up to place your EF. Just don't take off the back side of folder. Then you know that both sides will be same distance from edge.
Great tip, Lori. I used my center ruler and made little tic marks, which worked, but your way is much better, :)
Yeah great idea,thx!!

Looks good
those cards would look cool with ribbon across them where the blank area is

I definitely enjoyed this as my first time watching you! Thank you!
Hello..I love learning new uses with Embarrassing folders. Thank you. Myrna Anderson.
very nice i like
Beautiful cards!!! Thanks for your time.
Hi Gina here on your replay. Tfs
Elegant cards Gina! I always appreciate another way to use my folders. I have also cut squares from my folders and created a pattern of 4 for a card front on white. It turned out lovely. One way to use up my mistakes!
The cards came out beautiful. I love the technique. Tip for avoiding tear when embossing spritz it with water and then emboss, it will give the paper a little give. Ty en let it dry.
I rarely use Black cardstock, but whenever I see you do it it just looks perfect! Beautiful cards and definitely a great technique ♥️
Gorgeous I love the handmade cards
I love this technique and will be using it a lot. I love the cards too. I am new to Gina K designs but love what I have seen. Thank you for a lovely tutorial xx
Would love to hear Tom sing Barry White songs. Here in Australia we need your company to come here so we can order here. That blue is beautiful (powder blue). Gorgeous cards Gina.
I love backing in black cardstock. It looks so elegant and I think it makes everything pop. Two beautiful cards!! I love the blue flowers!! Just got my embossing folders Tuesday. I am definitely going to try this technique. Thank you Gina!

Very pretty cards! I love the thinking of you card the best. TFS
I just watched the retiform technique and this embossing technique. I have the day off from watching my granddaughters. I will have to try these. They are such beautiful cards. Your signature thing is a black background and I love it. I saw the plastic container that you had ephemera in and my son saves his gum containers to give to me so that I can use them. Thanks for that good suggestion
Great tips thank you! Especially love the idea about scoring a line at th edge of the partial die cut.
Gina, I love the black..I been using the black because I just love that look. Your awesome..

So pretty!
Lovely cards thanks for sharing
Ugggg. Glad Tom is better! My husband hacked for weeks too….. feel bad, but at the same time, i wanted to strangle him!! LOL
When using the card stock, I would put it under on the base plate under everything. I say this because I did it like you and destroyed my Spellbinder’s Platinum 6 as I could not for the life of me unjam it.
Lovely cards❤️❤️
Another great idea
Beautiful cards Gina. ❤️
wonderful !!
Very lovely. Just wondering about the "huga" sound at 16:30. Cracked me up. You're videos are always inspiring!
those are beautiful cards
Hi Gina and Tom! Lovely cards! Was thinking of how to make cards for weddings and using embossing folders may do the trick!
Your welcome from Canada! Hulls cough drops are the best! I love the blue package ones.
Your welcome
Very pretty cards Gina and I love the 2 different embossing folders together. My sister in law, Linda, used to love your supplies for all the books she designed.

Question: can you design an embossing folder that works better for your outline of the template, like you're doing in this video?😊
