I visted the north west coast of Scotland and finally managed to climb Stac Pollaidh, but this was just a recce. I took only my Infrared camera and phone, but still managed to capture some incredible scenes. Unfortunately my plans to return at sunset were ruinned by heavy rain, but after the rain, comes the best light!

I really like that you switched to Nikon. I also switched to Nikon from Sony recently, because I think the Nikon Z system became mature enough and has good variety of lenses for my needs.

I love it when a plan doesn't work out... then you just have to wing it, pray for good light, have a little patience and take great photos! Why do we do this? We are landscape photographers! We love nature and all that it throws at us (except the midges or mosquitoes), and we take what it throws at us and make memories! Great shots as usual with your perseverance and a fair bit of driving/hiking all over the place paying off again. Inspirational as ever. 100% agree about infrared, anyone still on the fence I can't recommend enough. Had Sony A7R that used as a just backup body, since having it converted to full spectrum it's become my go-to camera allowing me to love midday photography again.

A beautiful part of the world. Stunning images as ever Mr Heaton. I’m on the Isle of Skye at the moment and we’ve also been to Harris and Lewis but the weather has been truly atrocious, pretty much mist and sideways rain all the time we’ve been up here. It’s not the first time we’ve been here and it definitely won’t be the last.
