I'm sitting here today 3 days after LSU-FSU 2023 game with FSU currently ranked #4. He really really meant this speech. It gives me chills to see this speech almost 2 years later. To witness the results of hardwork, determination, passion and genuine love for both teammates and the game of football. Never been more proud to be a Seminole fan!! GO NOLES!!

and now we are 10-0. He's doing it, somehow. Sure not every w is a blowout, but he doesn't care about that, he cares about winning and Norvell is a winner. I love our coach

I'm so glad a Gator fan finally acknowledged this! UF was at a low point too, for a while--but then they got it turned around and they're right back up. We're in a low point, too...but the rivalry is far more fun when BOTH programs are up. So much respect to you Erroll!
I'll say this for Norvell: yes, we're in the pits right now, but the man has some intensity and fire about him. I'm willing to support the man...I'm still riding with my Noles.

2 years and he completely turned around FSU. Just whipped LSU 45-24. Who knew this was the moment FSU will come back when we were at our lowest. Norvell is the man, I don't want to here about anyone else, he is our coach.

As I said in a much longer reply that I wrote and posted (but it's gone inexplicably) I loved Taggart when he arrived. I wanted them to give him more time when he left. Let the man cook with is own groceries! But that's all over now and I'm behind Norvell. I appreciate his fire. I'd like to see a 30 for 30 about Jimbo and the downfall of a dynasty on the mend.

Yet we can't/haven't been able to keep the best players home....the list goes on and on. It's time for him and Blake James to go,and get an AD that's competent and cares. That's how we get back to being Miami. Enough of the mediocrity.

I love this, I love the passion and showing that he is upset about the craziness. Nothing is normal, and here he is TRYING to save our beloved team. And Corey Aslan and Ira are just smashing him to the ground and he's refusing to buckle!!
After this I am more convinced than ever that he is the right man for the job. The program is getting turned around, but there is obviously a ways to go. It is better than the last few years, players and staff both have bought into the program. The fans forget that this situation did not happen overnight, and will not be fixed overnight.

I am sitting here rewatching this sitting at 9-0 and it's incredible how he means every word that he says. He always talks like this and he gets players who want to run through a wall for him. This is how you build culture when you are losing.
This is also why unless it's a complete disaster coaches should be given at least 4 years to get their recruits in and build their program culture.
It's crazy to me that last year we had fans who were thinking he wasn't our coach. I am so glad that our program knew who they had and knew the results would be worth the wait.

This is the response that I have been waiting to see. The only difference with Norvell and good experienced coaches is that they would have done it by mid-season last year and the beginning of this year. Remind people your program is young and inspire these kids.

Reminds me a lot of my high school coach. Took over a 2-8 team when I was a junior and by senior year we were 5-4 and had our first winning season since 08. Fsu fans have finally had to learn to be patient bc we were so spoiled. I’m lucky bc being a bucs fan through the 2010s humbled me 😂

Don’t let this distract you from the fact Mel Tucker took a 2 win Michigan State team last year with players he didn’t recruit and has them 4-0 this year and playing discipline football.. it doesn’t take 3 recruiting cycles folks. Oh in case you’re wondering Michigan State in recruiting was ranked 44th nationally in 2020 33rd ranked in 2019 and 31st ranked in 2018. 😆

Flash forward some time. We lost to Clemson essentially by 3 points and just beat Miami for the first time in 3 years. This press conference means more than we knew at the time. I think he he is turning things around. Let’s get some playmakers and see how loud Doak can get.

Do recruits believe in the coaching staff at FSU? Do they believe the coaching staff will likely be there for the next 3-4 years? Recruits and their parents want stability. They want coaches that will put them in a position to win.
They will all be gone in 2 years. Recruits that are 4 stars or higher will transfer if they aren’t starting as freshmen. McCall and Travis Hunter will either decommit or transfer first year
Exactly -- #1 reason why Norvell will not be fired. If you fire him what message does that send to the recruits? What messages does it send to prospective coaches? Literally no one reputable will take the job.

The further into the season, the better they are getting so I feel the discipline is correcting itself and I feel the buy in. It’ll be a scary team late into the season. Might not win a lot of games, but fsu could spoil someone’s season late I into the year.
