- Its difficult for me to post this but this is for all of you guys who have been asking :). Also I 100% made tons of mistakes. I recited the surahs from my memory and then recorded the actual video after, i.e. its a voice over. Thus, lots of errors because I am still memorizing the surahs.
(I cant read and record at the same time due to some some issues) - Hry
arabic has to be one of the most beautiful languages ever. so soothing to listen to.

This surah is so nostalgic for me. When I was a child I used to go to the "Kuttaab" (lit. writers), which is how the traditional Quran-schools are called in some north african regions. When we finished our daily period of reading, writing and memorizing the Quran, we used to recite Yasiin. The beautiful part about it was, we did it all together in one breath. Now imagine a small rural village, somewhere in the egyptian Nile Delta, just before sunset. The farmers are returning with the cattle from their fields, the lights are slowly lighting up from inside the houses, and the sound of 20 children reciting Quran in the house of the Sheikh and filling the streets with their bee-hive-like tone :)
That’s a such a sweet innocent and pure memory.

Edit: can ya’ll stop arguing in the comments? I’m agnostic. I don’t believe in any specific faith BUT I do believe there is a higher power. @@elaw11 You can't make yourself "become" any religion. You can't just choose to believe. You're either raised into it, or have some experience which convinces you it's the truth.
As an atheist I wish I could believe in a god, no matter if that god was Allah or Jehova or Vishnu or the Sikh God - but you cannot make yourself believe something you do not believe. I was raised with no religiosity, my worldview doesn't require a god and therefore I cannot make myself believe in one. Trust me, I wish I could, dealing with the death of a loved one would be so much easier.
@@calum5975 As someone who was raised Christian with Catholic views in my experience when you are raised believing in a god it is easy to “switch” them. For example someone may not agree with the principles of Christianity anymore so they start to research the different religions and their values. If they find they would like to get involved with this new faith, they could. All it takes to switch religion is a want, belief, and to be baptized or whatever the religion takes to be cast into it.

@@random_chick Of course, once you have some form of religiosity you can more easily switch, it's having no faith in a god that's the issue. Seeing as Allah and Jehova are the same God, but the religions which exist to explain their desires differ, I can see why switching between Islam, Judaism or Christianity would be much simpler than switching to any religion from Atheism.
This is also partly why I think concepts of heaven and hell are flawed from an atheist viewpoint. Very few people have the liberty to choose their religion, 99% of religious people practice the faith they were brought up in. Not following the correct path leading to eternal torment therefore seems like something no God would do. This isn't to say Islam or Christianity is explictly wrong, simply that concepts of Heaven and Hell might be missunderstood. Early Christianity had wildly different views on Hell compared to Modern Christianity, and Jews believe anyone can go to Heaven, all that matters is you live a good life in accordance with whatever rules and morals your own "people" establish.

What’s really cool about the Quran is that, when spoken aloud and/or read in Arabic, it’s sort of like rhythmic poetry!
i used to be a nanny for these two adorable muslim kids. they were so sweet and would have quran class after school. they would read the quran in arabic even though they were pakistani and spoke urdu. they would practice how to pronounce things and i would sit and do it with them. this brought back all those sweet memories! thank you ❤

I used to live in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain ages 8-12. I loved hearing and learning Arabic as well so I feel quite nostalgic 😢 Islam is such a beautiful and loving religion- thank you for sharing it with us ❤
