Thank you Spa Guy , for this great tour, in ELVIS s life...When you think that only 4 years later HE bought Graceland..This , man, with such an humble beginning had an amazing destiny.. and yet HE never forgot where HE came from....
Love the Lauderdale courts! Glad they remodeled the apartment and made it a historical site where you can stay the night! Thank Billy TCB ⚡️
If Elvis were still alive, he would have turned 89 a few weeks before this comment... I'd like to think he'd have stayed a night at Lauderdale Court in his old apartment - for nostalgia's sake. I know he'd still be living at Graceland.🙂 He'd also still be wearing Lansky's.
I can't even begin to imagine how cool it would be to spend the night in his apartment. No way would I be able to sleep...I'd just lie awake all night in the bedroom he slept in marvelling in the fact that I was in his actual bedroom. Thankyou so much for sharing this ❤
This is one of my favorite Elvis landmarks. I left my mark on the wall by the closet. 💋 Billy, thank you for all of your wonderful Elvis videos.
Wonderful video. It is a possibility that Elvis got the bigger room because either he had a desk to do homework or twin Separate beds for him and when grandma stayed.
Possible as she did live there with them for a period of time..
It's really a pretty place! Love the older buildings, and inside its simple but nice, clean! I have a good friend I've known since 1970s,she lived down there. She will be 86 or 87 this month. Her husband, and his siblings, family, parents lived there. They went to church where Elvis went to church, and maybe his mother. Don't know if any other of his family went to church. My friend said Elvis would sit with her sisterinlaws towards the back of the room, talk, etc. They grew up oldtime Pentecostal, even Assembly of God was old Pentecostal. I remember going with my aunt, uncle cousin when i was a young, back in Arkansas. One day she was with her husband driving in town Elvis pulled up beside them, and he turned in to the highschool. He had been behind them, she recognized, then beside them,. He was in the vehicle from work. Her husband's family lived close to Elvis and his parents, went to school together. My friend's husband was a pentacostal preacher, and evangelist for awhile then took some churches. Two of Her sistersinlaw were preachers also awhile after they graduated. They've lived in Tulsa Oklahoma for years mostly. Her first husband passed away several years ago. She still lives there.
That was awesome!!! I'm so glad they kept it as is . I wonder if Elvis ever went back there to look around after he became famous. Thanks Spa guy. Another good one. Thanks!!!!! 24:36
Love these videos - how cool to be in Elvis's old home - surprised it's still standing as a lot of buildings no longer exist or have been refurbed - thanks for sharing 💗
I remember when you and Lori stayed there overnight.😊
I'm the only child and my parents used to give me the bigger room... probably because they knew I'd spend most of my time in there,, they loved me and wanted me to be comfortable. 💕
I just went there on August 16th. It was an amazing experience.
My Grandparents lived across the street from Elvis on Alabama Ave. Grandfather did some singing with Elvis in the early 50’s. Would love to chat.

It is so great to get to see this. Elvis getting a helping hand could possibly explain in part his later generosity. I know he gave away his toys as a child, so it was a part of him. You do such a good job of getting things accurate and your videography is solid, especially considering you are walking while doing it.
They took the small bedroom because his grandmother slept in Elvis room and Elvis slept more often than not on the couch due to this family set up. We toured this will a researcher who is now deceased in 2015 and he gave us interesting detail like this.
Lovely! Thank you so much.
This was awesome, thanks Billy! And the young lady that showed you around was so sweet. 😊
If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend checking out the old Carolina Theater in Spartanburg South Carolina where Elvis played in February of 1956. If i remember right it’s possible to get inside through the main building but the theater itself is abandoned and left pretty much how Elvis would have seen it in 1956. There’s quite a few backstage photos of Elvis, Scotty, and Bill but no known stage photos of the performance itself. You might be able to find which rooms the backstage photos were taken in, but I don’t know too much about the interior other than some photos of the theater itself. I think it might be a little cool adventure for you and maybe Trey if y’all are ever down this way 🙂
Very Good!... #12 ✝ {11-6-2023}
Fantastic video ,Billy!! I enjoy all your videos. Appreciate all your hard work on bringing us Elvis history.
Thank You Spa Guy
Eccellente tour as always we really enjoyed;
We have passed many times Lauderdale Courts when we visited Memphis however we never toured the apartment or the grounds, we didn’t know that you can actually stay in the very apartment Elvis lived in and that’s awesome!
Of course we now know!
Thanks to Spa Guy!
Thank You
Arrivederci!
Oh my gosh, I have that exact picture of Jesus here in Melbourne Australia.
Enjoyed that. That lady was so sweet- now she can add that new information to the tour..... to stay ther has to be a must for all Elvis fans. Thanks Spaguy 👍 🙏
My sister and I did the whole Elvis thing back in 89 or 90. Can't remember the exact year now. We went to all the places Elvis was supposed to have been spotted at after his supposed passing. Got all that from a book called Is Elvis Alive" if I remember correctly. We went to all his residences in Memphis except for the one just after Lauderdale Courts. Didn't know about that one. Lauderdale Courts looked nothing like it does now. The whole area looked like a real dump. I remember seeing some places with plastic for a window. We didn't know which place Elvis actually lived at. We just saw the area. It looked worse than poor.
Thanks for sharing this. Hopefully in the future I can stay in their old apartment on a visit to Memphis.
Great presentation 👏 I look forward to crossing the seas to stay there one day soon. I'll defrost the ice compartment in that refrigerator while I'm there too 😉
Thank you for the repost about Lauderdale Courts! My favorite posts. Especially when you and Mrs. Lori stayed there. Tell her hi for me please. God's speed.
Thank you for the video. Did Elvis ever go back to visit any of hie previous homes?
I'm sure he did but there are no records of it that I am aware of..
Fascinating. Thanks Spa guy.
I watched some videos about this apartment
But I enjoyed your video more...
Thanks for sharing.. its really good job keep going 🙌🏻
It's great to see the building is still standing in 2023 and looks to be in great condition! I wonder what life was like in that house during those years. Maybe the fact that Elvis turned 18 in January 1953, which meant there were no longer any children under 18 in the household, also contributed to The Presleys becoming ineligible to live there anymore?
Them leaving because he turned 18 is an interesting thought. I would think moving (again) close to graduating would have been disruptive.
Another great job spa guy
Amazing, thank you spa guy
Great entertaining video once again , Elvis is never forgotten such a special man his fans see this
Good
IS this old video , you went there, I believe, and spent the night on an old video 📹. 😊
I remember seeing a video of yours a couple years ago where you stayed there with your wife. Isn’t this the same location?
Great video.
Yes same place..
I think I click the like button before even watching your vids Billy :) Never disappoints. Another historic nugget of Elvis's life. Cheers mate
This is just owesome! Great!♥️🇫🇮
👍
Great vid would also love to see Elvis Greensboro and Asheville NC locations sometime in the future.
I have filmed almost all of the Asheville story there is a lot of cool stuff but still have couple of things before I put it out..
@@SpaGuy Looking forward to seeing it, thanks.
Gracias. Iré algún día.
Everyone has to stand where Elvis stood, pointing the gun 😅 pretty cool 😎
Sweet, I'm sure it was Gladys who gave her baby boy the larger room ❤
Billy you continue to find these 💎 gems! Thank you.
Muito bom. Estivemos ai ha um ano atrás. Achei muito legal, so que e pouco divulgado. Obrigadoooo
Didn't you post a video a few years ago of you and your wife staying here?
Yes
I appreciate you reposting some of your videos 👍🏼 you’ve got a lot of videos and it’s hard to search and go back all those years. So this is helpful. Even if we’ve seen them a year ago or more, a refresher is great. For me anyway……Also, please keep making videos because they’re always very informative.
I Thank You for watching.. I am going back through and being sure that I got everything accurate because I know more now than I did them. I fix the inaccuracies and add anything new I might have about that story plus I have a lot more subscribers now than I did then who never saw the videos..
Não sério muito divulgado. Mas estivemos aí e descobrimos sozinhos...tudo q vc está mostrando. Achamos muito legal
Hello Spa Guy ...me again...I just saw the video of the ELVIS show at the ***O2 Arena ***in London...Do you believe that the show was***SOLD OUT***.20 000 people attended to see ,ELVIS .. on the screen only...It looks like quite a production....Can you explain to me, why 45 years after HIS passing, people are still drawn to HIM...I know the movie ***ELVIS*** helped, but is it the only reason, or so many people are still missing HIM...
Annie, That is a Great question I don't know the answer to.. I think for many people he brings hope.. Poor boy made good..
When I went in 2022 with some ladies we could not find it because the driver was to nervous to find it I would love to see it
Billy, hopefully you can rent this again sometime soon and play some guitar for us like you did before …
HI BILLY FROM BILLY.......IN TACOMA WASHINGTON.......
Thanks Spaguy! Loved it.❤
Amazing video Spa Guy, incredible to read that Bill Black lived there too. I remember that you did several video's earlier and the house was more accessible. It now looks like a gated community, is that true? You made me smile when you discovered the exact place where the picture of Elvis was taken, truly a real investigator, thank you Spa Guy ❤
Yes it is gated there now but they needed that for safety.
Cool stuff SG!👍🫵
What a great video, thank you Billy!
Thanks detective. Really interesting 🤔. 🎸🎸🕺
THANKS SPA GUY ALLWAYZ 😊❤😊 IM THUMBS UP 172
Hey spa guy. I had a flo error on my hottub. Took the heater off and noticed there was a peice of silicone stuck in the elements. Not directly on the flow sensor but could this be the issue?
Thanks for this beautiful story of Elvis Spa Guy👍🇺🇸
Awesome video Spa Guy, thank you!
Darealdeal
Billy is it me or didn't you stay there s few years ago?
Yes I am updating these videos and making sure they are accurate..
Thank you another great video
I’m bringing my son to Memphis for the first time next spring. Do you know who I’d contact to stay here? The Facebook page link doesn’t work. Also, are you still doing bus tours?! Thanks!
Search them on Facebook..
Ultra cool 👌🏻
Did Dodger stay with them or another family member . they might have had two beds in Elvis's room. Maybe had a second bed for guests.
Dodger did stay with them here.. Not sure if she was the whole time from what I can finds she for a period of time stayed at the Poplar boarding house while they lived here.
@@SpaGuy Thanks Billy
Cool 😀
:)
In the trenches! Good stuff. 👏
One day when I get older am going to sleep in that room and do u know which bed I will be sleeping in
Elvis and his parents bring thrown out, rejected, dejected ,hated, por , we should consider the depression and horrific suicidal ideation they must have gone through most of their lives. Just think about it. How would you feel in his their shoes.
Yes they moved 22 times in the first 21 years of his life that I can find.. Once he got Graceland that was home forever..
@SpaGuy that is depressing. Absolutely depressing.
@SpaGuy I can relate to that. Growing up we moved every 8 months no money often no electricity no food. Judt pure hell. I tried to committ suicide in the 5th grade.
OH I'm so sorry you had that experience!! I hope you are doing Great now!! Sadly some people have it bad growing up and some have it good but that is what makes us who we are.. I have found that many people who have a rough childhood do well in life because they don't want to go back to that life..
@SpaGuy too many kids in America 🇺🇸 live this way and democrats worry about foreign kids more than our own. Fact
Yeah I would not do the kissing wall 😂
Lipstick on all the walls spoils it for me.
