I wish the reactions were a bit better because even with Douma clearly being shown as stronger the Hashira don’t change their attitudes at all. Also Shinobu doesn’t bully Giyuu but teases him about his friends because she wants him to prove her wrong and be more talkative. In a databook it even says Shinobu likes hanging out with Giyuu and Giyuu feels fine with Shinobu.

@@ImanError404The hashiras already believe the upper moons to be strong since none have been defeated for a century. Even with the idea of teaming up they’d still be worried and on edge. We’ve seen later on in the story that with the higher moons, simply teaming up doesn’t guarantee a win and mean they’ll escape unscathed

@@lexfushi8504Not really. You cannot get the mark when fighting him. Your body needs to be warm and due to Douma’s blood demon art being basically ice, it is impossible for the slayer’s body to get heated enough in order to get the mark. He also cancels out breathing forms though they can still be used, there will be an insane amount of pain inflicted on the user.
