Lucas is the worst kind. The contrarian. The man who never wants to side with the common opinion. This is the exact reason he gets so many main events wrong.
What’s wrong with that? It’s way more interesting to see someone play devil’s advocate and pick the underrated fighter and back it up with good points. If he just said the same thing we all know about main event fights and chose the fighter everyone thinks is gonna win, then it wouldn’t be entertaining.

I think one of the most annoying type of mma fans in all honesty has to be the recency bias fans who think that a fighter is trash or completely washed based off of one ko loss or bad performance then end up a huge underdog in their next fight then either go to a close Dec or beat the huge favourite Tate being the underdog against Avila was a perfect example of that

For me the most annoying are the empty vessel type of UFC fans, whom when Francis was still in the UFC and Jones kept pricing himself out and Dana was pushing the narrative that Jones doesn't want to fight Francis, they too were singing the same tune, but after Francis didn't come to terms with the UFC and left, Jones all of a sudden came to an agreement with the UFC, which led to Dana pushing the narrative that Francis left cause he didn't want to fight Jones and these fans also followed suit, it's like if you repeat stuff to them long enough they start to believe it, they are incapable of independent thought 🤷🏾♂️...

I just hate how black-and-white everything is to fans. They can’t conceive of any doubt, uncertainty, balance, subtlety. Their favourite fighter is perfect and destroys everyone in history. The guy they hate is a garbage hype train drug cheat with no skills. Gotta try to examine your biases, it’s healthier and more realistic. You won’t find anyone who hates McGregor more than me, he’s an abomination, but I try to sympathise about why he became so insufferable under his unique megastar circumstances, and I can concede the fact that he was elite for a while and even now would be competitive and dangerous against anyone outside the top 4 or 5, which is extremely impressive.

I'm the OneFC guy who thinks it will EVENTUALLY be an equal to the UFC. Thanh Le is crazy fun to watch. Is he UFC caliber? Absolutely, top ten? You know it. Championship level? After a few years maybe.
I like OneFC better for the multiple spots per card. Chatri"s policy on trash talk is another reason I like it better, drama is for my secretary.

Being a Khabib fan and in terms of Khabib fans in general, I see a lot of our "annoying" traits come out of rebuttal to someone else insulting not just Khabib and his MMA legacy, but things he's associated with such as where he comes from, what he practices, etc. A lot of people like him for more than just MMA, he's kinda transcended the sport and became a super star, so it comes across more like personal attacks than legitimate criticism. Just like how there is the term "woke" for annoying liberals, I think there's also a similar demographic for conservatives, "woke" conservatives that have been migrating to MMA to demote us as animals. It just always feels like we're on the back foot, we can't just celebrate the guy, we always have to justify it.

Krylov is serious and Walker coming up, and gate keepers like Oezdemir and Smith and Ryan Spann are nothing to scoff at. What other divison has 6 elites at the top and 5 serious fighters?

Hi Lucas. Found your channel recently, and I love the topics you talk about. UFC only. Nobody wants to hear about low level boxers or Bellator people. I just want to suggest that you try to apply at the UFC to do voiceover work. The UFC is sorely lacking in good North American voiceover work--their video productions use generic people who do commercials, and they don't have a real UFC fan doing the voiceover work. I've been saying that Anthony Smith should be doing all their voiceover work, but on second thought, I think you have the right voice for it.

I have to put the spotlight on this guy, someone brought him up to me. I can’t help it but put it out there that people are following this guy, who has NO respect for MMA fighters who wake up early and train all afternoon to be high level martial artists and step in the cage. He thinks that every fighter that is not in the UFC, are “bums”. UFC fighters didn’t start their careers in the UFC. And for the champions of Bellator or ONEfc, they train at the exact same gyms and facilities as UFC champions. But as far as I’m concerned, you can’t be a content creator for MMA when you have 0 respect for elite fighters. Stick to bodybuilding

I think Pereira’s legacy is close to Khabib’s. People talk like Khabib was a veteran when he retired but he only had like 13 fights in the ufc, Poatan already has like 7. Also Silva also has like 11 losses and people still consider him the Middleweight goat i don’t see having zero losses as a huge deal imo
Silva has 11 losses, but he achieved way more and fought more great fighters. Poatan and Khabib can't be compared with Anderson
