In this pre-tour interview, just days away from the start of The Visit Revisited 30th Anniversary Tour through Ontario and Quebec, Loreena talks about the obstacles COVID poses to touring artists, her own experience getting COVID, how travel inspires her and what she’s been up to since her last major tour three years ago. While two shows are already sold-out, some tickets are still available for other performances.

I got to meet her in 2007 on the ancient muse tour, in London, Ontario. Such an incredibly sweet woman. I had bought the tickets thinking it was London, England, because I was too excited to pay attention. Travelled from Sweden to Canada anyway and it was such an incredible show. Memory for life.

I love her. When I was a troubled teenager, I listened her for the first time, and it helped me a lot to look for peace in my troubled life. Now I'm almost 30, and my life is much better now. Thank you Loreena.

Her voice combined with my own intuition guided me after a wrong turn onto a forgotten California highway. The night was ink black and so twisty and winding that I could only drive 20 MPH. It was the eeriest experience thus far in my life (but it led me to accept that I needn’t have unnecessary fear surrounding such experiences) When I finally came upon a gas station, I ran inside, map in hand (the year was 1993) and demanded the clerk point to the location on the map. After showing me where I was, he pointed to the forgotten highway I’d just blindly navigated, ominously warning me to NOT go that way. I yelled in frank disbelief that I’d just been on that road.

I didn’t have the same experience, but in the darkest days of my life her music brought me back to myself, like that prayer for the wind. She is a amazing artist.

Thank you for touring again! Your music follows me, ever since I was a teenager 25 years ago. Now I am 42 and it is still an important part of my life (as one can see on my CZcams channel, where you can find a few a cappella covers of some of your wonderful songs). Sadly I never saw you live, even though I know the full Alhambra concert by heart, and visited Alhambra palace 2 times by now, because of it. The possibility that you might visit Europe again just gave me goosebumps. If that happens, I will make sure to be able to attend. The one time you were in my hometown Nuremberg, I had a play myself in the drama theatre, since I am a stage manager. Also, I would gladly be part of your crew if I were closer. Anyway, thank you for enriching my life with your work! Tommy

Wonderful..wonderful Loreena. I have followed her carrier for over 30 years now. The highlight was the concert in Granada Spain. The amazing palace of the Alhambra and Loreenas music made the evening magical. I will never forget that evening.❤️❤️❤️

@@geoffteece265 Yes..they where shooting the DVD so the concert was a little bit different. Some bits of the concert they did twise.. because something was not perfekt with the light or sound..After the concert Loreena came out and met us fans of the stage. She is such a sweet and humble person.❤️

Loreena truly seems like a warm, lovely person. I got to see her perform back in 2016 in Cleveland, and she is the same on stage. If she comes back to Ohio, I will definitely get tickets.

1985, Elemental was released. My mother bought the album, and the first time I heard that record, I had no idea what was happening to my body. I had goose pimples and a huge spiritual awakening. I was 6 years old. I have been a fan my whole life (well, minus 6 years). I'm 44 this year. And she still give me goose pimples every time she opens her mouth. ❤❤❤

Wow, such a wonderful lady to listen to. She has so many great qualities as a performer and person. I fell in love with her music the first time I heard it in a bookstore in Quebec in 1995. I did see her live at Massey Hall in the late 1990 the concert was half of her Live in Toronto and Paris CD, it was truly fabulous. Loreena is actually performing live tomorrow Oct 8th where I live in Kingston, Ontario. Loreena is such a favourite artist of mine that she is 1 of only 2 artists that I could fill my 5 CD carousal CD player with 5 of her CD's and listen to them all without wanting to take a break from her music. The other artist is Asha. Loreena in a nice way reminds me of Enya who I also love most of her music. However Loreena is less processed and more symphony sized music, with he specialized instruments for that amazing Celtic and worldly sound. Of course Loreena's amazing voice is the divine touch and magic that carries all her music along in a special experience to enjoy in endless ways. I do own about 10 of Loreena's CDs and 2 of her DVDs. Her greatest hits CD compilation also has a live CD that is so truly fabulous. Loreena's music to me in a way is proof that there is a God as it couldn't exist without such Divinity existing in the world. Thank you Lorenna, perhaps I will se you live tomorrow night Oct 8, 2022. I first heard you when I came upon your rendition of The Highwayman, a poem that I have loved since I was very young (I am 75). From there I enjoyed listening to your other songs and love them all. I was fortunate enough to see her in Boulder, Colorado on the tour for The Visit and on the tour for The Mask and Mirror. It wasn't long after those tours that she pared her schedules dramatically down and left off smaller cities entirely. It'd be magnificent to see her play at Chautauqua in Boulder again -- it was just magical, the sunlight coming in between the slats in the walls as she played "The Lady of Shalott" -- but I can't imagine we'll ever see it.

Wonderful interview, thank you! I’ve been a fan since the early days of Quinlan Road cassette releases that were played on the Max Ferguson show on CBC Radio, the only place we heard Loreena’s music on the radio at the start of her career.
Ever since I heard "Bonnie Port more" I've been a fan of her very transcendent singing and how she really does bring echoes of ancient mysteries to her music. I've passed from middle to old age with her music. Now my favorite is "Wild Mountain Thyme", because it reminds me of the life beyond.
I really love her so much, my first time listening to her music was when i had 10/12 years old and then, she came to Argentina and i meet her in a famous library, i remember that i was crying bc it was a dream come true, i think i had 14 years old at that time. A few years later i went to one of her concerts.. for the first time and It was the best experience of my life, now i´m 25 and i can't wait to see her again, she inpires me a lot, honestly her music brings me back home

I'm very grateful of having the chance to see her live, twice in one year. The first time in Montreal on October 2th 2022 and the second time, in Toronto on December 10th for her Christmas concert.

I have been a fan since I was around 6 or 7 years old. I was lucky to see Loreena when she came to Vancouver I believe it was around 2006 or 2007! I really hope to get the opportunity again one day! I am so happy to hear there is a potential for Loreena to expand her tour, I didnt think that she would and I figured Id make the trek to the east coast one day to see her!!
