The thing is, yiff was originally just an onomatopoeia for fox sounds, and was turned into a term for specifically "sexual noises" by text chat roleplayers.
Jade, at the time Earth got fucked by all the meteors, likely knew of the term by its original meaning, but never learned of its other connotation, meaning her naming her daughter Yiffany years down the line is completely innocent, and also none of her friends would likely question the name since they probably wouldn't have any idea about the sexual version of the word either.

here's a fact that you might find interesting. Everytime a character is depicted as sleeping while having their dream self awake, they follow the exact procedure for lucid dreaming positioning of the body, falling backwards onto a surface an having arms laid over the head .

Also on the topic of the Green Sun, this is actually something that includes an allusion TO Homestuck in another work. In the tabletop RPG game Exalted, there is an extremely powerful demon known as Ligier, who manefests in the form of the green sun of the setting's Hell. In one of the sourcebooks dealing with alternate universes, his Green Sun form was explicitly stated to have "twice the mass of the universe." The writers of the game were at the time and still are, fans of Homestuck.
The Green Sun Princes are Infernal Exalted created by the Yozis using Exaltations stolen from the Jade Prison and tainted with demonic magic.

8:33 Incorrect; Knights are not required. The Time Player is the one who is supposed to help. Keyword being supposed to. Aradiabot didn’t give a hoot, so Kanaya and Karkat had to work under a time limit.
Actually, I think it's that a space and time player are necessary for a session, but time is never mentioned as having a connection to the frog breeding.
The fact that in both sessions we see, the knight is helping with the breeding and that knights are a serving class suggests that knights generally help the space player, although this isn't conclusive.
Both are equally plausible, we don't really know.
That, and its possible for a fully successful session to occur without a Knight, but hard for one to occur without a Time.

I think that there are several other fictional and mythological characters and stories that Jade may be based on:
- As you mentioned Silmarillion, it is worth to mention certain being from it: Varda Elentari, wife of Manwe, was sort of a goddes/angel who governs space itself abd is generally one of the most revered by elfs. Some of other slight similarities is that her husband Manwe was patron of sky and air (which is domain controlled by Jade's brother, john). Also, the main bad character, Melkor, feared and hated Varda especially (due to rejecting his love), which again slightly resembles Jade's relationship with Bec Noir (Bec Loves Jade and hates that fact, also having it as a greatest weakness).
- Other similarity to Jade is Bene Gesserit sisterhood from Dune, which are called by many other people "witches". It is especially simialar to what Bene Gesserit actually are: space witches trying to create by selective breeding god-like being called Kwisatz Haderach (someone with powers of seeing future and any place in space and much more). Also, many powers possesed by Gene Besserit are similar to what powers Jade has.
- Finally there is certain similarity between Jade and greeko-roman goddes Hecate, which is goddess associated with crossroads, but also witchcraft, dogs, night and knowledge of herbs - some of which are somehow associated With Jade.
People seem REALLY torn about the Epilogue. Some people like and accept it, some don't but accept it anyways because they feel it's canon, and then there's people who out right deny it as canon.
I don't understand the hate they get. Is it only because of ships and whatnot ? As someone who couldn't care less about ships, i loved the epilogues. They're very good when it comes to worldbuilding, which is what matters. Any ship can be canon in some fan-made timeline. There's a shitton of timelines. But there's only one Homestuck cosmology.

Even I didn't like what they did to one troll I really dislike, and it was 2 lines and an OOC attitude. It all feels like a bad fanfiction made just to piss off the majority of the fandom

As a Knight of Space myself, i think we'd just take care of the frog breeding alone lol.
If the Knight of a session is a Space player, that means Space is gonna play against the players. Space is the setting, the state of things, reality, the "rules" if you will... so it's gonna be a pretty hard session. As such, it's important that a lot of players are available to do stuff like fight sburb mobs and such.
The Knight of Space taking care of frog breeding alone allows for an extra player to be available, and since they'd be both the Space player and the Knight (aka the one who's used to fighting back against their aspect, and the most prone to protecting their teammates and session against said aspect), that's something such a player should be able to do.
Maybe the Time player would help the knight.

@@tabbender1232 Time itself is not, just as the Knight class itself is not. But it's equally plausible that the Time and the Space player should breed the frogs (or, more abstractly, that the frog would exist because of the actions of those two players), and not the Space player and another Knight (Dave was a Knight of Time, and we don't know which part of the title is important here). Maybe the troll frog was imperfect because Karkat did it instead of Aradia.

@@a-bird-lover Karkat was the official assistant to Kanaya, yes, but we don't know why it was him, and the trolls themselves probably don't know to. And Aradia (indirectly) affected the frog breeding to, by "advicing" Karkat. There is a theory that this intervention by Aradia was both needed as the participation of a Time player in the frog breeding, and was the reason why universe B became cancerous - it was intended to be cancerous by the alpha-timeline, to create the green sun.

It makes sense as a system, it makes sense as a system Hussie would create, and there are a lot of moments that could be clues confirming it...or they could be just random things, because Homestuck is full of random things. Hussie didn't say anything about it, so we don't know, but this is a plausible way to see Homestuck in a death-of-the-author way (just as the opposing roleplay theory). Also, a lot of hate for inversion theory came both from people misunderstanding it and quoting it out of context, and hate for BKEW personally, because of the way he writes his theories, rather than the content of the theories themselves.
Is there a particular reason why you excluded the epilogues ?
There were also a few txt files released that gave backstory about the kids universe (both pre-Scratch and post-Scratch).

I know someone who pretty much admittedly said they fantasize about being her. I also thought in many ways it was either realistic (in terms of character development) and imaginative (in terms of environment and storytelling) at the same time.
Though I will not lie, I'm a bit disappointed in Jane's behavior though.
The epilogues were really good, however what would bother me is if we got no ending to them.
