Dalai Lama Arrives in New York City for Medical Treatment
The Dalai Lama arrived in New York City for medical treatment on Sunday, June 23, drawing a crowd in a hotel lobby, footage shows.
Footage filmed and posted to X by Caro Suki shows the Dalai Lama being wheeled into an elevator at the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan, surrounded by Tibetan Buddhist monks and officials.
According to local news reports, the 88-year-old was seeking medical treatment for his knees. This was his first visit to the US since 2017.
