    George, or his business, had Possum Hollers in several other states that I know of. I was in a band that played the grand opening of one in York, SC, back around this same time period, opening for George. We also played another one in Harrisburg IL, if I remember right.

    Hans, my father, Shug Baggott, owner of Possum Holler and manager of George Jones at the time, passed away this past week. I would very much like to talk to you about using this video in a video the family is preparing. I've tried to reach you via every contact I could find to no avail, so far. If you are still reading these comments, I would appreciate you trying to reach me via Google+ or Facebook. My name is Brett Baggott and I'm not very hard to find online. You may very well have the ONLY footage of George singing at Possum Holler that is available.

    • @BrettBaggott
      @BrettBaggott Před 6 lety +1

      I certainly don't want to start a war on Mr. Haggstrom's awesome video so this will be my only rebuttal to any and all comments such as yours here. Having said that, I will say that your understanding of the history of this issue is, very naive. First, George didn't need any help ruining his life before or after his involvement with my father and his involvement with my father also did NOT coincide with his use of drugs. If you want to open your mind a bit and use your brain, I encourage you to read my review of Dolly Carlisle's biography of George, which was one of the first: www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R110USO5R5DFFO/

      Brett you are absolutely correct. For people to blame your father for George's actions of the mid and late 1970s is silly , in fact George's life would have probably ended during that period if NOT for your father ! Your father worked long and hard trying to keep George alive during that period. You could tell that shug truly cared about George Jones , and your father paid a high price for that effort. I was truly sorry to hear of your father's passing.
