I've never been a huge fan of the Chanel classic flap bag as I prefer the more 'edgy' Chanel boy and 19 bags. However, once I saw the vintage version of the classic flap I fell in love instantly.
With its 24k gold plated oversized CC logo and statement jumbo XL size, I knew I had to have one.

That is a very nice bag! Pre pandemic, I got a patent leather jumbo, a vertical quilt jumbo, and a jumbo XL CC single flap for a steal. Each bag has gone up in price. I just live the vintage bags.

One thing I would like to mention. I have two vintage Chanel care booklets that comes with the bags.
‘The metal parts of your bag are gilded with an alloy which contains 24 carat gold.’
Most of the CZcamsrs have simplified it and say, the hardwares are coated with 24K gold.
The coating is actually an alloy of gold and other metals. The other metals in this alloy will rust if exposed to salty air or water.

Hi, it’s normal, because the strap must be moved only when the flap is open. And because it’s very chunky, and so the gold metal stays new much more long time 😊⭐️

Was watching this while cleaning my vintage medium double flap.
I really wanted a medium single flap. Not a big fan of double.
Yeah the single flaps are easier to use, but your double sounds lovely and they keep their shape better
I really lucked out about two years ago when I was able to purchase a pre-loved Chanel jumbo in the beige color for $650. It has been authenticated by Leather Surgeons before accepting the bag for restoration. The restoration will cost me $525, making the total cost of the bag $1,175. Just a suggestion, I would not put a bottle of water inside the bag just in case any water my spills out of the bottle.
An authentic Chanel for $650 is unheard of and should be authenticated again!!
@@CassandraReneeXOXO it has been authenticated by the Leather Surgeon before sending it to be refurbished. Jerry, the owner of the Leather Surgeon was exclusively employed by Chanel for refurbishing, so he knows what is and what is not authentic. The Leather Surgeon authenticates your bag before they can accept it for refurbishing. I bought it before the humongous price increase and the seller was not aware of the value regardless of the condition, because it was a little beat up.
