riverclans first leader seemed very gentle
He was, possibly my favorite of the original leaders. He was just a cute and wise little fluffball.
I loved how generous he was when he offered the fish when the prey was being stolen! My little bean boy!

The Great Battle [i believe it was called, not so sure] took place right on the territory of Four-trees. A large amount of cats died and were buried there. Centuries pass, the clan cats continue to hold Gatherings there in a time of peace, completely unaware that they're sitting above an ancient burial ground. Now that I think about it, the fact that it *is* an ancient burial ground may be the reason Star clan is always watching over it during and not during the gatherings. This fact is actually really incredible in my opinion.

Hawk Swoop, Jackdaw’s Cry, Falling Feather, and Rainswept Flower died in the battle and they actually appeared at Fourtrees at gatherings
I feel that Gray Wing is the true founder of Starclan. He came up with the idea of the groups being called clans. He was very wise. He was an amazingly kind cat. Before Gray Wing died, the spirits only visited the living once, at a mass grave. After, they visited in dreams. So, All hail Graystar, founder of Starclan!

There's a certain headcanon that Grey Wing is/becomes Silverpelt, the entity that welcomes and unites all Clan cats in the afterlife, as he did in life. I love that headcanon.

Nowadays the Clan cats talk about Warrior blood and some cats hated on Firestar and Cloudtail for having kittypet blood but then you see DotC and realize that "Warrior blood" is just a mixture of tribe, rogue, and kittypet blood. hAh.

Thats basically what Ashclan is (my oc’s clan). The leader, Sleekstar (ex thunderclan warrior) did not approve of how cats treated cats who did not have “warrior blood”. So when she took over Ashclan, she made a whole new warrior code for her clan. Where warrior blood lives in all, medicine cats can actually have a mate and kits (depends how), etc. but they still believe in Starclan. They still go the starclan or the dark forest. Basically the better version of the newer clans

For the people who clicked on this map without reading Dawn of the Clans, the 'Long tail' is Windrunner, the 'Holly leaf' Is Tall shadow, the cat that is light grey, white, and dark grey is River Ripple, the 'firestar' is Thunder, the dark grey is Graywing (rip graybae cri), the light grey with white on his neck is clear sky, and the brown cat with one eye is, uh, one eye. Let me know if I missed any?

I have a theory, the clans wouldn’t be created if jagged peak never ran off here are my reasons
Gray wing would have never come to the clans, therefore ThunderClan wouldn’t be born because no one saved thunder and if no one saved thunder sparrow fur, owl eyes and, pebble heart would still be kittypets
The clans wouldn’t be named because white tail, black ear and one I forget wouldn’t be born and the four of them named the clans
Wind and gorse would probably never be let into the hollow so, moth flight (the first ever medicine cat) would probably die in the cold season (leafbare)
Clear sky would have probably killed everyone because no one came up with the idea to talk with him
Am I the only one who thinks this? Do you think without jagged peak the clans wouldn’t exist?
And without the death of Bright Stream too.
Here are the reasons:
Clear Sky would have had kittens with her. This means, he wouldn‘t have become mates with Storm and so Thunder wouldn‘t have been born. Or maybe she became mates with Grey Wing and so it wouldn‘t be the same as it was. Grey Wing wouldn‘t have died of Asthma because he didn‘t had to save Clear Sky, because maybe he didn’t see the fire. Soe Clear Sky would have maybe died and also nobody killed Slash and made for One Eye a trap. Therefore the death of Bright Stream was the most important one. Maybe she even created StarClan, because she was the first cat that died!

I just have to say, Dawn Of The Clans was my favourite series. Everything that happened made me want more and more, everything was good. But, you might think I'm weird for this but in a way Gray Wings death was the best part. I didn't want him to die, but his death was with all the characters, and you could see how each character has changed from the beginning!

I really hope that if they ever make a warrior cats movie it’ll be about Dawn of the Clans because, to me, that story seems like the easiest one to make a movie out of, considering that there’s no continuing arks.

In Power Of Three, Thunder(star), Shadow(star), River(star), and Wind(star) are called upon to talk to Midnight about Sol. That's confusing if Thunder got reincarnated.

Just stumbled upon this whole "Warrior Cats" series. I'm still not exactly sure what it is, but I've seen the animations and they're amazing. It seems like there is a team of passionate animators working on this and I greatly look forward to seeing more. Kudos to everyone who animates these!

Warrior Cats is a book series by Erin Hunter, the MAPs we make are based off various events from it, for instance mine here is based on the Dawn of the Clans arc, the fifth arc of the series. They're popular books, and you can find them at any bookstore or library if you're interested in finding out more! The first book written is called Into the Wild, you should be able to find guides on the reading order past there if you want :3

"Warrior Cats" is an entire book series that's about four different clans of forest cats. It's a really good series, and yes the artists that make the MAP/ AMV's are really talented.
I cried at the end of Dawn of The Clans. It was so sad.

Oh, gosh. I remember watching this MAP before I even started reading DoTC. Well, before I watched this, I had tried out the first book but, for some reason, it seemed unappealing to me, so I didn't read that arc, and then I came across this MAP and wondered who the characters were and what was going on, so I decided to give DoTC another try. Oh, boy, did I miss out on some real good stuff! DoTC happens to be my favorite arc in the whole series now, and it's all thanks to these wonderful animators putting together such an amazing masterpiece!

Wolves and Warrior cats, Jayfeather thought he made The Tribe of Rushing Water, but he made the clans too, because Half Moon (Stoneteller/ Teller of the Pointed Stones) let some cats go to the forest territories.

Dawn Of The Clans is my favourite series! I love how the main character of the most part, Gray Wing, was forded to go to the new home, not wanted to, I love the father and son drama with Clear Sky and Thunder, I love the brother drama with Clear Sky, Gray Wing, and Jagged Peak. I love how the clans came to be because when I picked up the first book of the series I thought I wouldn't like it! All this crazy stuff happened, then it end's with the creation of the clans we all know and love! I love how developed these characters are, unlike Firestar who *had* to be the strong, brave, smart, talented one of them all, Whenever I think of Firestar I shove Clear Sky into my head, Firestar, ThunderClan leader, was always the one who made every right decision, when he was very young he seemed like a fully grown senior leader! He was always was so selfless it seemed fake! while Clear Sky, First SkyClan leader, was quite Selfish at first, when he was younger he was very, well, young! He didn't know the decisions to make, he didn't know how to act properly which only worsened after he lost so much! He inflicted war, he did all this stupid stuff that affected others so much! However his character development was absolutely incredible!!!!! He is a much more believable character! I haven't read Moth Flight's vision yet so I'm very exited!!!!!

i feel like clear sky should have stopped when literally no one but his own people were on board with his plan
To be fair, prior to the first battle, Clear Sky's group did outnumber the group under the joint leadership of Gray Wing, Tall Shadow, and Thunder. And considering he was able to get one of his followers (who's name I forgot) to fight her brother to the death (which resulted in them both killing each other), I would assume that most of his group was somehow convinced of his plan.

Gray Wing's death (last few pages from the last book of "Dawn of the Clans") Happy to feel his kits warm against his flank, Gray Wing tried to purr. But he wasn't strong enough and started coughing.
"Is Gray Wing sick?" Black Ear asked Slate.
White Tail lifted his nose knowledgeably. "He's got the sniffles. Reed Tail's been giving him herbs just like the ones he gave me when I had the sniffles."
Gray Wing didn't dare look at Slate.Grief clawed his heart.
Wind Runner padded forward and met Gray Wing's gaze. "I'm glad you got Black Ear back." Sorrow clouded her eyes."We'll never loose him again. I promise that your kits will always be safe here." Suddenly she thrust her nose forward and touched it to Gray Wing's head. "Good bye, old friend."
Silver Stripe frowned, puzzled. "Why's Wind Runner acting soppy?"
Gray Wing's throat tightened. "It's been a long day, that's all." He held Wind Runner's gaze for a moment. Then she turned away, and he watched her pad from the den. Gray Wing pulled Black Ear closer.
As she disappeared into the evening light, Thunder stuck his head in. "Can I come in?"
Gray Wing blinked at him. "Yes," he rasped. "Pebble Heart, Jagged Peak, and Clear Sky must come too." He wanted to see the faces that had meant so much to him.

White Tail put his paws on the side of the nest and stared at the forest cat. "Why is everyone visiting you, Gray Wing?" They've come to say good bye, he thought. Gray Wing lapped at White Tail's head. "They've come to make sure Black Ear's okay."

Movement caught his eye. In the shadows behind Clear Sky, stars seemed to sparkle. The walls of the gorse den shifted as a new face appeared , a face Gray Wing recognized at once. "Bright Stream!"
He could see her as she stopped beside Clear Sky. Two kits stood at her paws, one tabby and one pale gray.
She blinked at him, then touches her nose to her kits' heads. "They are the kits I was carrying when I died," she whispered.
(Skipping some where more starry cats appeared.)
"Turtle Tail!"
She blinked at him, her eyes sparkling with sadness as her gaze flitted to White Tail, Black Ear, and Silver Stripe. "I wish you could stay with them, Gray Wing", she whispered. "But it's their destiny to know you only as a memory."
Pain gripped Gray Wing's chest. His breath was so shallow that he could hardly breathe at all. And still, familiar pelts glimmered from the shadows- Hawk Swoop and Jackdaw's Cry, their tails entwined. And Wind Runner's tiny kits, pressing close to turtle tail. Every cat he'd known was here. All the friends he'd lost- on the journey, in the great battle, from illness or accident. They were all here, waiting for him to join them. "Gray Wing?" Slate's mew ruffled his ear fur.
"What are you looking at?"
Gray Wing took a shuddering breath. "They've come for me. They're not dead. They're just waiting for me to go with them." He nuzzled Slate's cheek. "Never forget how much I love you." Then he touched the heads of his kits one by one. "Silver Stripe, be brave and take care of your mother. White Tail, learn all that you can so that one day you will make your clan proud. Black Ear, forgive any harm you've been done and show kindness to your clanmates. For we are all fighting a hard battle, and sometimes kindness is all we need."
Black Ear blinked at him, his eyes clouding with confusion. "You sound like your saying goodbye."
"I am." Gray Wing lapped his cheek.

"Don't go!" White Tail's cry faded as Gray Wing felt his last breath leave his body. The tightness in his chest eased as the invisible jaws finally let go. Drawing in a deep breath, Gray Wing got to his paws. Lightly he stepped from his nest. He glanced back at Slate, Silver Stripe, White Tail, and Black Ear clinging to the body he no longer needed. "I will always be watching you," he whispered.
He turned toward the starry cats, and they moved aside and let him pass. Padding into the shadows of the den, he felt their pelts brush against his and heard their welcoming purrs.
He walked at their side, deeper into the darkness, until the gorse walls opened into a vast horizon of rolling hills. In the distance, the sun was rising, sending dazzling streams of light spilling over the earth.
I have traveled so far and loved so much, and yet I am still following the Sun Trail, heading for my new hunting grounds.

Why do all of the fluffy cats seem to be in Riverclan? I thought short fur was better for swimming...
Short fur isn't better for swimming, the thicker fur allows them more protection, but not all fluffy and furry cats are in RiverClan, Mistystar and Stonefur were half ThunderClan and half RiverClan, so they'll have shorter fur, being half of each clan. Yellowfang was sort of a fluffy cat and she was born in RiverClan.
Shorter fur is better, since it makes them more slimmer and helps them zip through the the water. Just look at otters and seals. And Yellowfang wasn't born in RiverClan
Yellowfang was born in SHADOWclan. Ugh. But i wish she was.

Plot line for DOTC (idea for this not mine XD): A bunch of cats leave dem mountains including blue eyes and brown and white spotty cat. Broken leg standing runs off after them, and orange eyes has to follow him. They get attacked by brown and white spotty cat's killer, and blue eyes is very upset. they eventually have to cross the road like chickens, and black and white cat dies. they come to the forest, where blue eyes gets his group together and runs away while orange eyes and the rest of them stay behind on the windy place. orange eyes falls in love with green eyes, but green eyes leaves to go with blue eyes. broken leg standing is no longer standing. green eyes leaves blue eyes and has her children in a falling down house. orange eyes saves her child, orange cat, and blue eyes rejects his own son. then an out-of-control camp fire burns down blue eyes's house and blue eyes actually starts to like orange cat. brown skinny cat and other skinny cat move in with the angsty teens that live in windy place. calico cat's children get kidnapped by their evil dad and calico cat chases him, and ends up getting hit by a car. orange eyes is sad about this. orange cat, broken leg, and blue cat do end up saving calico cat's children. then orange eyes wants to talk to blue eyes, but blue eyes keeps one of the angsty teens prisoner. orange eyes, orange cat, and blackcat go to talk to blue eyes, but prisoner angsty teens catches food and blue eyes does not like this. blue eyes throws black cat into the crowd of rampaging fans and attacks orange eyes. then ghost cats appear and tell them to stop. blue cat, blue eyes, black cat, orange cat, and brown skinny cat make -clans- groups. people get sick, and they have to find this mysterious flower. then blue eyes gets kicked out of his group by pirate guy, but they end up defeating pirate guy anyways. it's winter, and everyone is very cold. blue eyes's third girlfriend gets kidnapped by another pirate guy. they get third girlfriend back and orange cat starts spying on the pirate team, and ends up falling in love with one of them. then a dog attacks the pirate team, and everyone starts hating their pirate leader. orange cat gets a new girlfriend, and everyone is happy until one of the former pirates attacks a person and leaves to go with the other pirates. orange eyes's child gets kidnapped, and blue eyes nearly loses his tail to rescue his nephew. orange eyes can't breathe all of a sudden, and names all of the groups. Runclan, Jumpclan, Stalkerclan, Swimclan, and Scarystormclan. orange eyes dies. RIP orange eyes.

This is a question for MAP creators... I'm in no way an animator. I've always dreamed of trying, but I have no skill, and no time to learn. I am, however, an author, and through watching maps and listening to music, I've come up with potential scripts for other maps... Would it be possible to host a MAP without actually being part of it myself?
It's possible to host a MAP without participating yourself in the
animation- After all, I barely did five seconds of this piece myself.
However, a big roadblock would be getting enough interest for your MAP
to be filled and actually produced, a lot of animators don't have a big
enough following to manage that easily. I think your best bet would be
to socialize in the community and try and make friends, if you could
find animators who know you and are willing to help you with hosting
MAPs, that would help
Another thing to consider, if you want to try and host MAPs on your own, is assembling them- you need at least some knowledge of video editing software to assemble a MAP.
if you do want to find collaborators, keep in mind that a lot of animators are really busy, and likely have MAP ideas of their own waiting- I myself have two or three MAPs completely planned out for the future already, and several other less developed ideas on the backburner

Okay, this entire map is incredible, but the last few seconds (specifically 3:19 til the end) is some of the most stunning work I've seen in any map ever.
This is literally the best MAP I have ever seen.
I love this map but I do find it confusing at times. The parts are sometimes out of order and everything happens so fast you really have to look at it repeatedly to fully get it
