The fact that this show made the praetorian guards look menacing, took Paz Vizsla out and walked away without saying a single word
Just want to watch the scene where Ben & Rey take them all out in The Last Jedi for revenge on Paz
It's a lot like when they brought in the AT-ST and made it absolutely terrifying compared to the joke it was in RotJ.
They are ruthlessly efficient, none of that one on one duelling ethos, faced with a supremely, deadly opponent like Paz you use your 3-1 advantage to its fullest.
They gave him an honorable death, the blade in spine, like the Romans.
They’ve literally never said a word ever
Paz Vizsla got one of the greatest and most honorable deaths in the entire Star Wars franchise. He shall forever be remembered and honored for his sacrifice.
Facts. Though Kanin’s death was up there too.
Huh? I saw a supposed bad-ass who didn't even take out a single one of the red guards. At least he could have taken out one of them. He didn't even get a single hit on them.
@@markharc7615 the guy didn't have any weapons left, a tiny shield and a butter knife and the other guys were 3 with these insane weapons, he had no chance but those guards wouldn't have been able to take him down 1 against 1, they're cowards! It is one of the greatest and most honorable deaths like be for real.
@@madelinegarber7860 I was just telling my buddy the same thing. I put Kanan's death at #1 with Paz a close 2nd.
@@markharc7615 dawg he had a tiny ass knife and shield against big ass swords and to mention 3 of them lmao tf is he supposed to do when they are highly trained 😭
While he lived, he never removed his helmet, and no one else ever removed it. He believed in the Creed with all his soul. R.I.P Paz Vizla, a true son of Mandalore. This is the Way.
This Is The Way
My whole family was watching this episode, and just as Paz finished off the last trooper, my dad went, "How did he win that battle?!" Then the Praetorian Guards came in and my mom said, "He didn't..."
This episode was awesome. Rest in peace, Paz Vizsla.
Mom knew what was going down
Same I said out loud “😲not the Praetorian guards!🫣”
@@solmck737 aye same! Except I hid it in my inner voice
Now Bo-Katan understands her father's sacrifice when he died in battle so that other Mandalorians would live to fight and die with honor another day.
…kick me while I’m down… lol tears everywhere
And her growing respect for the Children of the Watch was cemented in that moment.
She wanted to save him, and he stayed behind to give them a chance... 😔
The final stab move through the collarbone to the heart is exactly how wounded gladiators in Rome were despatched quickly and honourably ( if you can describe an act of murder for the purposes of entertainment as such) I am sure the fight choreographers knew this.
So that means even though they Beat him in a 3 V-1 they still made it quick. I always thought pratorian guards didn't have any honor
Losing Paz hurt. They did a good job with his character arc.
Great compilation video!
They did. I wasn’t expecting him to be killed off this season. And it actually hurt more than I thought it would. But you couldn’t ask for a more honorable death.
I kinda had mix feelings about him when we were 1st introduced to him.. he grew on me as the seasons went on. Shit hurt losing him
he was literally Jorge
"Here we gather to honor an fallen warrior, a father, a believer, a brother and above all else, a True Mandalorian to the end. Paz Vizsla, We will sing his song of honor, bravery and sacrifice for future generations to hear and to sing along into the Great Halls of Mandalore. This is the Way"
This is the way
This is the freaking way! A true Mandalorion and warrior to the very end.
This is The Way! He died with his weapon melted and surrounded by the bodies of his enemies.
This is the way!
This is way🙏
When Paz says 'This is the way.' it raises all the hairs on my body. Every time. Truly epic death scene.
He died defending fellow Mandalorians on Mandalore against the perpetrators of the The Great Purge. Really can’t ask for a better way to go as a proud Mando.
For those people who wonder why Paz Vizsla not runaway with his Jetpack, you can see that his Jetpack broken after fight with stormtrooper. So he fight until his last breathe. F for Paz Vizsla
Their appearance with the chorus. Chilling
When you realize that the guards were suppose to kill the rest of the mandalorians…. Paz you absolute legend! 🔥
Paz said there were too many because if he'd tried to just run, they'd have rushed the door and gotten the others. If he'd tried to fall back properly, they'd have overpowered him the instant he tried to go through the hole. Had there been fewer of them, it might've been different. But he was basically in a scenario of non-stop fire.
He knew someone had to stay, and nobody else had the armor or firepower to do it.
He did it for his people, and the restoration of their home.
He did it for his son.
He did it for Bo-katan, wielder of the Darksaber, and would-be ruler of Mandalore.
And he did it for Din Djarin, the redeemed Apostate, uniter of the tribes, and the man who saved his son.
This is the way.
Edit: For those who were wondering along with certain reactors why Paz didn't just fly out, his weapon was connected to his pack. When he overheated the weapon, it blew out the jetpack, too.
Exactly.
Really? I thought the stormtroopers fired at his back a lot of times and damaged his jetpack, but your explanation makes sense
@@itzelwisteria1819Honestly why not both? The jetpack shorty circuits on top of being hit by blaster bolts, doubling down on it being inoperable.
Paz went out like the true G that he was. 💪💪
BIG FACTS 😂💯
Nothing more fitting than for a son of vizsla to meet his heroic demise protecting his queen in the depths of mandalore
Facts! That’s a big deal too since his clan and Bo’s clan have a history of hating each other.
Vizsla>Kryze
Loved finally getting Captain Pellaeon in live action. Loved his characterization (loyal to Thrawn, less ambitious than everyone else on the council, apparently more level head and pragmatic like when he acknowledged that Gideon has a point about the Mandalorians) and his physical appearance (the mustache!). Can’t wait to see him and Thrawn on screen together 🙂
Not only a badass way to go, but a redemption for his whole clan. And really, an assertion that Mandalore will not go quietly into the night.
I was so sad seeing this absolute tank of a mandalorian go out after squad wiping gideon's forces. I was like, "Any more, and he soloing Gideon"
Bruh same! I forgot about the guards. But his death hurt. I’m interested to see if they deal with the aftermath at all. I hope they do. He deserves an epic funeral.
Pas Vizsla brought back the honor to House Vizsla with his sacrifice after what his predecessor, Pre Vizsla did in the past. This is the way.
Paz Vizsla faced death like an absolute boss 🫡
Likely the Praetorian weapons slipped between Paz's armor plating. The armor does not cover every inch; there are gaps. The well-trained Guards would know how to find the weak spots and exploit them. (Just as Bo-Katan did in the prior shooting battle.)
Nope. Watch closely, they literally tore holes into his armor. You can see they added CGI holes were he was stabbed. That is some next level shit... Which is understandable, they are like... 8 or 9 ? Custom made weapons for the elite of the elite, even Beskar has its own weaknesses.
@@gerardlacroix6015 no, it's obvious they went for the gaps, that's why they stabbed through his shoulder and not his head
Some went for the gaps but that one in the armor? Might be that its not pure bescar armor
@@The-Like-Button Then why, on the last shot, is there a fricking hole the exact size of one of the praetorian's weapon in the beskar ? They literally tore through it.
Can it be the weapon has beskar in it? That one episode where the armorer told din that beskar is used as armor and not a weapon as it can pierce beskar. She went on to destroy the spear and make the chain link for grogu
His body needs to be retrieved in the final episode. His son needs to keep his fathers armor.
ooh nice
Sacrifices must be made and honored. This is the way
This is the way.
This is the way
This is the way
This is the way
This is the Way
This death stung. Paz was one of my favorites. He went out like a true son of Mandalore and brought honor to the creed. Rip to a real one.
Paz Vizla in the end brought redemption, honour and glory to the Clan of Vizla. Single handedly saving a large group of Mandalorians and decimating the ranks of the Imperial beskar troopers. The fact that it took not one but THREE Praetorian guards to kill him as a unit just shows how much of a warrior he was. Guards used to hunt jedi and protect the Emperor himself just shows how much Gideon fears the Mandalorian way of life.
This is the way Paz, this is the way.
This is the way!
The only reason why those three even one was the fact that has his gun was destroyed, and he was fatigued, after defeating an entire room, full of beskar wearing enemies. He was taking hits, but he was giving back the pain tenfold in return. Heck, he would’ve taken a praetorian down with him had the other two not interfered! He was a warrior truly worthy of the title Mandalorian.
This is the way.
Also the Praetorian guards were there in case of Jedi like Luke Skywalker or Ashoka. Since he'd witness Luke destroy his ENTIRE squad of Dark Troopers without breaking a sweat and he was scared as hell and he wanted to be extra safe
its poor writing. Could of cut the hole in the other door straight away and gone to help. Its what I thought immediately as soon as the door came down, why didnt they?
@@rickybe This is bad watching. She would have died along with him, they both knew that, regardless of his beastly defeat of the Supercommando squad. He was the rear guard and his job was to secure their escape.
That's what he did.
Most viewers understood and accepted the implied conditions. We didn't need it spelled out for us with any more dialogue than "There are too many of them."
It ain't that hard, friend.
@@AngeloBarovierSD execpt their wasn’t too many as Paz took care of them by himself, if the others had backed him up he would of defeated the guards too. Ive not seen EP8 yet but Im willing to bet a couple of Mandalorian’s would be enough
Paz Vizsla made his ancestors proud. He is a legend forever, This is the way.
RIP Paz Viszla. A true son of Mandalore. He may have fallen, but every trooper that he took out is one less for his fellow Mandalorians to face. And the fact that it had to take three praetorians to take him down after he had already cleared out an entire room of Beskar wearing enemies is a sign of his might.
The parallel to the first season with quill lying after he’d been shot by the scout troopers in the first season in the second last episode was amazing they both went down for the cause.
One of the most epic death scenes in the entire Star Wars universe. Rest in Power, Paz Viszla
There is humanity still left in this world....I am glad that I am not the only one who felt the pain when Paz Vizsla fell like a warrior....This is the way!!
The music in this felt VERY Clone Wars and I loved it
This season has many callbacks to the Clone Wars, it's been amazing.
I was in denial until they showed that shot of his smoking body. Then I was like nooooo!!! I’m surprised how sad this made me. And poor Ragnar. I bet Mandalorions hold one hell of a funeral though. I’d like that scene as heartbreaking as it would be. His body lying in state or burning or whatever they do with their dead as his brethren look on. Maybe Grogu and or Din are by Ragnar trying to comfort him. I wonder if Din will offer for him to join his clan? I’m sure Pasz wouldn’t have minded if he could’ve had a say. But the man went out like a freaking boss! That psych out when you think he won until the pretorian guards show up. They were actually terrifying this time. And their music was epic too.
Mandalorians burn their dead in mass pyres, not much is made of the event. However, specifically Mandalorians who die facing incredible, or impossible odds are given special raised pyres, on which they are burned alone. Their weapons and armour are collected and distributed to their loved ones to be either kept to remember them, or to be reforged into their own armour. As the body is burned, their clan tell tales of their honourable deeds, and sings songs of their glory. The names of those lost in battle are recited each night before bed to keep them in the memories of those who loved them.
R.I.P PAZ YOU'RE A GREAT AND TRUE MANDALORIAN !
Do people not see the smoke from his jet pack. He ain’t flying out of no where.
Vizlas Arc is concluded now, so that death was the best thing they could do with him. R.I.P. Paz, youre a real one🤜🤛
He may be alive, Gideon said he needs mandalorian dna for his army, and that’s the last vizsla, he may not in fact be dead- yet
The Vizla arc has been _renewed._ Ragnar carries on.
Just when I started liking him..... but he went like a Top G. Much respect 👊👊👊
We will NEVER forget your brave & heroic sacrifice. Rip Paz Vizsla. 🐐
This is the Way! 🤧
Honestly I bet that the body actors that acted for the Praetorian Guards hated doing this scene, because they grew to love Paz Visla throughout the show too 😂 😭
What A Mandalorian Legend 🔥
Love Jon As Paz and he'll be missed RIP. This episode is the best of the season and Can't wait for the finale. Hope to get Thrawn.
IMO it's the 2nd best of the entire series
@@joshrandor4371 One of the best Mando Episodes indeed. Still say Chapter 8 And 16: Redemption And The Rescue are the best episodes of the show but this episode is amazing as well. Hope to get Moff And Boba in the finale as well.
Jon and Tate absolutely killed it as his character
@@logansmith4545 Totally. Hope to also get Mace And Cobb in the finale as well.
@@louisberry4403 and Jar Jar
Paz Vizsla, you are a true Mandalorian warrior! You've made Tarre and the ancestors proud!
If they make episodes 10-12, we'll see Paz's son as an adult in there in the most heroic of fashions. A brave Mandalorian, like his father before him. That's how i'd write him in. John, Dave, if your reading this... This is the way.
RIP Paz. May Mandalore Rise and flourish.
THIS IS THE WAY!!!
Paz went out like a true Mandalorian, fighting till the very end. He is one with the force, and his son Ragnar would take on his legacy.
Ever the Epic Mandalorian. "This is The Way!" is the best catch-phrase for an entire group of Total Bad-Ass People.
Absolutely loved it how his last words were this is the way. He was a true mandalorian
Is there any finer way to die, holding off the enemy while your family escapes, and a pile of molten brass and your fallen enemies both at your feet?
This is the Way indeed.
Heroic sacrifice of a beloved fictional character is always a hard pill to swallow, however it's necessary soda main antagonist doesn't win.
I've watched this compilation at least 5 times by now. Supreme sacrifice, excellent video.
He died on mandalore, at the great forge, in battle defending his clan...what could be more mandalorian than that? This is the way!
He got a boss death, he died as one of the greatest Mandalorian heroes
Even down to his last breath he held on still fighting, a true warriors death man.
Paz Viszla claimed what all true warriors covet, a glorious death.
What a great compilation! You do such a great job! Thanks for the content!
Well I was legit afraid of that Praetorian Guard. Wow they look menacing. Phew.
RIP Paz. You went out like a G.
24:09 The Knights of Ren?!😂💀😅
This is why I don't take females seriously in this field 😅
He is doing what soldier does, sacrificing himself so others can live and fight evil another day
I love the girls getting emotional and the boys honoring a fallen trooper.
Paz vizla turning into past vizla is sadder than pre vizla Turing into post vizla
Paz went out like a damn BOSS!!! I salute you Paz Vizsla! This is the way!
Paz had that DAWG in him.
I like that the Praetorium Guards allowed Paz to arm himself. They easily could have rushed him down as soon as they saw him but they let him draw his Vibroknife to make it at least somewhat entertaining for them.
I've had this feeling when we grow strong attachment to a certain character in these series (for example Paz, Omega, and newer Mayday) Jon & Dave either end up making them captured or killed off if that makes any sense
I just saw this episode, which was the best this season! So saddened & shocked that we lost Paz Vizsla. He always managed to stand out from the pack. BUT, the brother went out like a true gangsta titan, in self-sacrifice! NOTE: It did take THREE of the red guards to take brother out and AFTER he'd just slaughtered an entire squadron, by his damned self... RESPECT!! 💯💥💔 PS, thanks so very much for putting together this multi reactions video, for us and Paz..so deserved! 🔥🔥🔥
Paz Vizla: "I take solide... at the fact that it took 3 of the empire's best, to take me down at my worst."
He may be gone but The house Vizsla lives!
Commander Thorn: " I have the most bad-*ss last stand in a Star Wars show"
Pas Vizsla: " Hold my blue milk"
Paz Vizsla died honorably in battle, choosing to sacrifice himself to save his brothers and sisters. We mourn his passing, and we shall forever sing the stories of his life.
This is the way.
the fact they just killed him and before he was even dead they just started walking away was so menacing
"Yeah ik...and who else is going to wield this gun."
That's a true female fan right there.
Rest In Power To Paz Vizsla!!!
Paz went out like a samurai. With honour.
That chainsaw’s “oh sh*t” defines it all
That dont do Hodor is the best analogy for this scene lol
With Din captured, Paz knew it was the only way the rest could retreat.
I think everyone's balloon was popped whenever we saw those red suits emerge
I knew the second they made his character more prominent and more respectful, he was gonna go. Just glad he got a blaze of glory to go down to
This is the best on screen warriors death ive seen in a while
Went out like a badass
Paz went out with honor! it took 3 of them Praetorian whimps to take him out!
Paz Vizsla: This is the way
Me watching at home: NO MAN THAT IS NOT THE WAY, IT'S THROUGH THE HOLE! TURN AROUND!
Always a great job
Praetorian guards, Notice how they give him a Roman Soldiers death the blade entering the shoulder straight down to his heart
The moment when the Mandalorian team lost their Big Guy 🕊️
“The Knights of Ren” 😂😂😂😂
"YEAH.. the knights of Ren!" 🧐
Lol.. Sooo cringe
“NO! They are too many! THIS IS THE WAY” rip Paz
You should do people reactions to grogu getting the robot suit
Omg yes!
when i watched this episode with my 2 daughters, 1 was crying 1 was sitting there with that oh wtf happened face , PAZ went out like and OG !
Oh man can I watch this happen 20 times in a row???
"Go, there are too many!"
"This is the way!"
The most honorable way to go out.
This is the way and Paz Vizla, ya did good son.
RIP PAZ! I just wish he took at least one of those MF Guards with him!!
24:10
"Lady... The Knights of Ren never guarded The Emperor, that job was given to the Imperial Royal Guards, and to top that off The Knights of Ren were NEVER members of the Imperial Royal Guards"
I stood on my feet...nuff said.
What a legend
Paz is legendary!
This is the way ❤
Wonder what Ragnar and grogu are going to do when they realize their pops have been killed/captured
Grogu will tame the mighty mythosaur and tear down the walls of Din's cell
Ragnar looks even angrier with his father alive than Boba Fett as a kid with his father dead.... to be continued
The Gun broke before Paz did!
now i wanne see grogu with ig12 pick up paz his gun and start blasting so save the day
Pre Vizsla would be proud.
He couldn't have gotten out. The door locking mechanism was on his side.
If he'd have gone with, they simply would have followed.
By staying on that side, he controls access to that tunnel.
He knew it when he did it that it was a one way trip.
Absolute G
@@JeffZ1028 sure... Because by then the Mandalorians are clear of the tunnel, and both parties are on foot... With the 2 minute lead Paz bought them, the Praetorians are not going to catch them before they get into the clear
Also,
3v1 is doable fight...
3v30? Probably not.
Paz did his job.
Just FYI the weapons did not go through the beskar they actually were purposely going for the gaps in the armour
