Hey people!! Welcome to the new 2017- 2018 school year! That meals school lunch videos!! Something you people have been waiting all summer for!! haha I hope you enjoy what I pack for my two kids this year for school, my oldest is in first grade, and my middle child is in pre-K 3 - They both go to school for the whole day and have a snack (or two) throughout their school day! I try to pack my lunches for my kids and make them as healthy as I can - I also make sure to throw in some treats as well! Because who doesn't love sugar?! haha

My son just started kinder so I'm new to the lunch packing business. You give me lots of great ideas and now I feel like I need a Lara bar! You can use it for hot or cold lunches. One container. It fits alot of food in it. I also love the goodbyn containers. Those containers fit alot of food in them.

Uh YES!! They are a little more expensive than the other bars, but SO worth it - especially because they're quality ingredients!

Kim I have been waiting for your lunch videos loved everything. I can't make cute faces and shapes for lunches either I even bought the cute sandwich cutouts and hardly used them. I really need to make energy balls but my kids don't like coconut. I know I have asked before but please link the recipe video.
Cool Calm and Mom if they like craisins use those instead! I never have coconut on hand and I always crave these when it's too late to go pick any up so I've made them several times with the cherry infused dried cranberries (craisins) and they're delicious!! They would still be great even if you omitted coconut or craisins all together, they don't NEED either. They're sooo good! I always just search the wads protein balls and find the video quickly! PS I also watch YOUR lunch videos, and I love them!!

Yay lunch videos! My son's birthday is the 22nd so we would bring cupcakes the second day, lol. Also, we live in Orlando but drove to Columbia SC to see totality. It was so worth it! Amazing experience.

I get frustrated because one of my boys eats like his snacky and/or dessert stuff first and then brings like his fruit and healthy stuff home, so I've been making him finish whatever is left in his lunch for his after school snack.

Ok so now that I've actually watched the video, yes of course it was great. Well worth the anticipation! And I love that there are two lunches now lol. Is that strange? Also, I have both styles of lunch boxes just in case one gets left at school, the shimmer and shine style is a bit more challenging but I bought containers from target that each have their own little ice pack that fits inside the lid!! So good, and they puzzle together very nicely. I think they're called fitfresh or freshfit idk something! I'll look it up. Then the drink and snack go in the bottom. Also, I overpack too because who knows what her mood is going to be by lunchtime or how much time she'll actually dedicate to eating instead of talking lol. You give me the best ideas for snacks I would never think to pack! When I asked around before school started I got "cold sandwich and chips" or "peanut butter sandwich" umm.. no. We've packed everything from pizzadillas to hot noodles! And the plain jane cold sandwich and pretzels. I like to keep it exciting for her, I know I wouldn't want the same thing everyday 😋 Can't wait for next weeks lunch video!
I'm annoying. Sorry 😂 But one more thing to add to my ridiculously long post.. I am the mom who adds the cute faces and cuts the sandwiches into shapes. I love it!
You are the cool mom!! haha I have some of those fresh fit containers - I bought them years and years ago - but For me the ice pack doesn't stay cold for very long-- compared to the monster that is the rubbermaid ice blox!! That thing is awesome! I'm glad that you get some inspiration from the videos!! When I started packing lunches I asked around to some other moms too and got the same kind of response! That's why I started posting them years ago, I thought-- hmm... how can I switch things up?! lol Mind you... many of my weeks are repetative items, but I always like to have new things for them to try! :)
I don't pack juice either! My kids from a young age have drank water. Juice is maybe once in awhile at dinner. There is so much sugar in everything they don't need it in drinks also. Also I like the RX bar. It's the only bar I'll eat
