    Thanks! Very helpful! Went to my local Dodge dealer today and found out they don't even make bulbs (according to them) to replace the ones that come factory installed! Unreal. I even used the part number on the bag you showed and they said "not correct, too many numbers"???? I ordered the bulbs I need from the link shown in your video. Amazing how something so simple could be so difficult!

    I just finished doing it, thank you very much for the vid. My patience with such things isn't what it used to be and I would have surely busted something (esp when I didn't find the two screws above the cup holders).
    A tip or two-
    Throw a kitchen towel or something on the steering column before trying to get the plugs out of the cluster and coax it out of there. Thank goodness for Novus' plastic polishing system and no I don't sell it. Not a bad idea to polish it up while it's out even if you don't muck it up.
    If you aren't too crazy about laying on your back and contorting to see under the ledge above the cup holders, bring a mirror and flashlight.
    Mine (07,1500) had two different types of bulbs, luckily I had the right ones for the instrument cluster. The heater/ac controls are actually fairly easy, especially after you've done it once.
    thanks again!

    Really great video. Concise and to the point. I would love to see video number 2 where you actually replaced the bulbs. Do you have this video? Other people have asked this question as well, but I dont see a response. Also can you please list the part numbers, especially the LED bulbs. Thanks so much.

    Good video. I have a problem with the Odometer Light went out and never came back on. Would this take care of the problem replacing the cluster bulbs?

    Do you happen to know the model number of the led replacement that will fit in the heater control? Is it the same size as the cluster bulbs? My heater control lamps are burnt out and am having trouble finding the replacement. 07 Ram

      @livefootagetube  Před 5 lety

      So you can actually take that little one out. I don't think it was meant to be removed but mine got really dim so I replaced it. I do not know the part number sorry

    So, are there any of these lights in the control panel for the AC, My dash is pretty dark at night and I would find it difficult to think that Dodge didn't light it up. But I quite literally cannot see the dash outside the instruments. I ordered blue lights for it like 3-4 years ago but haven't gotten around to checking.

    • @livefootagetube
      @livefootagetube  Před 4 lety

      Yes there are tiny bulbs in that ac panel with the three nobs below your radio. When you pop it out you will see them. I wish we could post pics here. But go on ebay and look for that part I bet you will find someone selling that part with a picture of the back just so you can look at it.

  • @PhilipCurrier1
    @PhilipCurrier1 Před rokem

    how many bulbs are there in total including only dash, behind radio, ac control buttons, the window buttons on each door. If you only know the amount on the entire dash including control buttons then thatll do

    How do the gauges look at night, now that you changed to LEDs? Is there a difference in the color now?

    • @livefootagetube
      @livefootagetube  Před 7 lety

      They change the look alot
      I thought it looked nice. I should of did a vid of them when they were in. I recently took them back out and put stock bulbs back in.

  • @nydoc69
    @nydoc69 Před 2 lety

    I have a 2008 Ram as well. Could you send me a brand or part number for those led replacements? My lights on the gauge cluster are going out.

    • @livefootagetube
      @livefootagetube  Před 2 lety +1

      I think I purchased them on eBay and they were t5 or t10 but if you look them up and just put in 08 Dodge ram cluster gauge bulbs LED they should come up, I've sold the truck since then but I did end up putting the stock bulbs back in because I kind of got bored of the blue color and I couldn't find white At the time but I know now there's all different colors. But be aware there's two different size bulbs in that cluster gauge there's some big ones and there's some small ones so you will have to do some homework you can always reach out to the sellers and tell them what you're doing.

  • @doc199107
    @doc199107 Před 11 lety +1

    don't turn the key on and put it in gear and you wont ever have that problem...... I work for dodge, You don't need to pull the gear changer down to get to any of that. I've pulled many clusters out without ever touching that shifter.

  • @livefootagetube

    Every dealership is different some dealerships might get them for you and others have them ready to go in stock. If you send me your email address through the CZcams messages I can send you a picture off the bags I still have a bag. I got it from the dealership last year
