I feel like they dance better in their freestyles than in their battles
They do Ive noticed that too that they dance better when freestyling than battling and I think its because they use certain moves for battling because of the judges and when they are freestyling they can be more free without being judged
I also hear from people who are dancers that although the "dance better" in freestyles/workshops... those moves are not battle winning moves hence they cannot dance as they do during freestyles
That's weird, so if they freestyle in a battle n it's way better than the other guy's dancing they still don't win cuz they're not battle movements? The hell is that? Someone needs to abolish that rule

Jieldre Jarule this version would not lose at all, they are more groovy and feel the music heavily in workshops, experimenting... instead of worrying as much on the pressure to win from competing, would absolutely love to see them battle like this man

I think this is my favorite version of Larry. He may not be as explosive as he used to be, but now he doesn't have to pull out signatures at all to kill it. Just straight musicality and flow. I love it.

B-Mint1994 I think Larry is still just as explosive. Laurent on the other hand is a different story. His style takes a greater toll on his body unfortunately

The twins are exceptional young guys who can move to every beat and tone with skill and emotion. They don't have to do crazy moves to respect the song. We will be watching them for a very long time.

Tbh I can’t say who is better because they are both unpredictable. Larry surprise me and then Lau but the difference is that Lau is more unpredictable but I wouldn’t understatement Larry.

I have a serious question!
Hope this is not weird, but I would like to understand so I can enjoy their dancing more, I have seen 99% of all their dancing on CZcams, all the clips, all compilations, likely many hundreds of hours, and my favorites 10 times at least. (Not sure if its relevant but I 'found them' in 2010)
Anyway, with that out of the way, I really like them, from what I can tell they are super cool people and obviously great at dancing, ok all that to couch my question.
Is Lau losing his skill, he seems, in my eyes, my understanding, to have lost his 'lock' on the beat-hits. Larry just keeps getting more exact, more precise but I cant understand Lau.
If anyone could give me some insight to this I would be very grateful.

Well Lau has had many knee and ankle injuries as he's more of a long extended power move type of dance that loses control whereas Larry's style is more controlled and precise, thus being more safe. But Larry also has broken his back before as well as his hip. Another notable thing is that Lau's dance style in general is like an "acquired taste" meaning not everyone will understand where it's coming from because he dances more from the heart/emotions. They both do this, but moreso Lau than Larry. I've noticed there ia particular music Lau can dance to FAR better than Larry and vice versa. Think Yin & Yang ☯️

Yes very true, I fully agree with this, not least the 'City Dance Onstage 2017'. I suspected Lau was more a 'heart' dancer and larry more of a 'brain' dancer, but not black and white, they have both overlaps ofcourse.
I did not know about the amount of injuries they had, miracle they can still dance :D
bonus comment: 99% sure you know of Skitzo the dancer, but I just found him today, I have been looking at some of the videos available with him, he reminds me a little bit of larry and Lau in one person with himself in there also ofcourse :D
