It's Fashion Attack and welcome to another video! Today we're gonna see how to make a cardboard round couch. The only thing you need to make this comfortable couch is cardboard. A lot of cardboard! You can apply this technique while making any piece of furniture or home decor. Enjoy!

Just moved into an apartment and had a lot of boxes. As a single person, and a "senior", I need furniture I can carry in and move myself... solution? Cardboard furniture. I've studied the various CZcams videos to get ideas on engineering and design. I'm working with found materials, and lots of contact cement! I haven't upholstered it yet, but it is sturdy and I'm not a lightweight. The best cardboard is the kind used for appliances and TV's, it's thicker. Think about I-beam construction and honeycomb for weight support and rigidity. Upholstery will conceal a multitude of sins. Love the shape of your piece, I may change the back and arms on mine. Once you've got the foundation engineered properly, the final shape and look is easy to change with foam and fabric. Thanks for the tips you shared.

thanks so much girl!!! i got them from a local store in italy but i'm sure you can google and find something cose to you. oooorrrrrrrrr if you have the time you can just collect old cardboards and save also on that!

i used a very basic glue gun there is no specific brand :)

Love this! Great job. I do have a question though… After a while cardboard can breakdown and go soft (from the weather) and attract bugs. What can you do to prevent that? I want all the hard work to last when I do this myself.
ya... for sure water is the enemy! but the glue works as a shield so for little quantities it's fine. but you can't have this couch outdoor
You can add a layer of fiber glass.
I would add mint and bay leaves to the interior to help keep it pest free. It is something I do with store bought furniture, I don't see why it couldn't help here.
In addition to any natural pest remedies, I'd coat the cardboard with a layer of Polycrylic, gesso, urethane, or some other topcoat to try to seal the paper.

I had subscribed long ago and turned on my notifications to the "all" setting. I thought maye you weren't doing videos anymore or perhaps you were taking a well deserved break. This, howeer, wasnot the case. Your channel, as well as others that I am subscribed to had the notifications settings changed to "personalize" so I was not getting any notifications at all! That is the bad news and I have since fixed that problem. The good news is thatnow I get to binge watch all of your videos that I had missed!!!
The notifications problem thatI mentioned above seems to be an internal CZcams thing just FYI. I don't think it is fair to you who puts so much time, material and hard work into these creations and videos. It makes me wonder how many other subscribers havve had this happen to them and perhaps something you content creators (in your case I should add artist) should bring up to CZcams!

Oh, last thing, do you know where to get replacement blades? Is there a link for that in any of your videos?
I never replaced the blade to be honest. It also come with 2-3 blades but up to today I never replaced it hehe
