Yes its 8 wheels drive and has diff locks on all of them. Most of the forwarders does the same. Some of them have 6 or 8 wheels

Dafür gibt es Rückegassen für Rückemaschinen. Die können problemlos über Steine, Baumstumpf fahren. Bis zu einer Neigung von 60° Steilhang ist möglich. Da werden aber Stahlseil zum Abseilen verwendet.

Do really think they loaded the logs by hand? No they used machines that had narrow base, that rutted up the ground, the operator froze in cold weather or they drug the logs, leading to ruts, erosion and loss of product.
