The 2016 Democratic Convention will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia July 25-28, 2016. Working in partnership with the Philadelphia Host Committee, the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, our goal is to make this the most engaging, innovative and forward looking Convention in history. The 2016 Democratic National Convention will leverage technology to take the Convention experience well beyond the hall in an effort to engage more Americans than ever before in the event. With the birthplace ofAmerican Democracy as a backdrop, the 2016 convention in Philadelphia will highlight our shared Democratic values and help put the Democratic nominee on a path to victory.
The Democratic Convention is the formal nominating event for the Democratic candidates for President and Vice President. At the Convention, the Democratic Party also adopts the official Democratic Party platform as well as the rules and procedures governing party activities including the nomination process for presidential candidates in the next election cycle.
The CEO for the 2016 Democratic National Convention is Reverend Leah D. Daughtry.

I watch this video every 3 months to reassure myself that we, the people of the USA, once had a compassionate, smart, and kind man who was our President. Not the buffoon we have now.

I ask myself before voting what each candidate can ACTUALLY change in their time. With him it really was health-care, equal legal rights for LGBT community, and turning around the recession. To this day, he is only President in my lifetime that I've given money to his campaign and has far exceeded my expectations. He kept most of his promises and delivered on what I voted for him for. He wasn't perfect, but as I see realistically see it, he will go down as an amazing President and you won't find him having to hide like his predecessor had to. He will be able to hold his head high and if I were to meet him I'd thank him for his contributions and service to our great country.

As someone who voted against this man becoming president, I can admit that I was wrong, and my respect and appreciation for this country has grown so much during his 2 terms. Whether you're someone who praises him or criticizes him, he has made such a positive impact on all people of this great country, and could've accomplished more if congress would've let him. I only hope the progress he has made can continue. Keep moving forward, America!

I didn't agree with tons of stuff Barack did and didn't want him for a 2nd term but he did well. When he entered office the country was a disaster as far as the recession went. It's funny because the democrats constantly pull the country out of depressions with socialistic policies and enactments and yet when we get out of that depression/recession everyone starts leaning to the right again. Every time things get tough all of a sudden people get more left leaning again. The thing that this video reminded me of is that we're all in it together. We have this insanely emotional red vs. blue team vs. team separation between political ideologies these days and there is so much ANGER and emotion attached to both the far right and the far left people. This video reminded me of all the people who are in the middle who are just trying to live their lives. The moderate left liberals, the moderate right conservatives, that's really what makes up America, but we don't hear from any of those people because the media knows that stories or articles involving moderate ideology will get practically 0 views and 0 engagement compared to when they post a story about a hardcore kill whitie radical black person or a skinhead send them back to africa white person. Those are the stories that really sell.
I pray for the day when Americans stop calling out each other, stop going after each other, bridge the divide and then together start calling out the media for trying to blow stories out of proportion and drag out things that happen if they know they'll get views. Stop posting editorials designed to get a rise out of people that get shared all across Facebook. America coming together and build a culture of awareness about what the media is doing in order to get more ad money for their websites/channels/social media pages. We need to bring back "YELLOW JOURNALISM" because there was once a day in America where you could call something yellow journalism and it would lose all credibility and become a source of mockery and shame for the author of the article. However we are rampant with Yellow Journalism now and as a country we don't call it out. We read it, comment on it, share it, and do everything that they want us to do.

Really great video of Obama's challenges, failures and accomplishments. I love the inclusion of April DeBoer & Jayne Rowse reaction at news of the SCOTUS marriage equality ruling at 8:38. I also notice that the music that begins to play during his list of accomplishments at the 7:00 minute mark is the same music that was used in the Feb. 2014 Facebook lookback videos. Throughout the video there are photos that include Hillary in the background of his administration and it ends with her voice. Well done!
