LYRICS
I can feel my breathing it's so nice
It's like a blanket on my life
Let me stay here for forever
In this state of classical denial
Crankin’ Mrs. Dalloway
Moby Dick trip on a whale
He’s kinda just like me
We're thirsty for the deep
I'm gonna rock my Audible,
Headphone 'Grapes of Wrath'
Drift off to oblivion
I just don't care, I just don't care
Rock my Audible,
Headphone 'Grapes of Wrath'
Drift off to oblivion
You think I care?
I just don't care
I just don't care
I'm barely there
I just don't care
Count on me to show support
For Winston Smith in 1984
‘Cause battling Big Brother feels more meaningful
Than binging zombie hordes
Take me off to Neverland
Hangin’ with Yossarian
He's kinda just like me
We'll fight till we get free
Open ear and open mind
I can see without my eyes
Frodo jonesing for the ring
Soon I’ll be there smiling
Smiling in my dreams

Shout out to audible for making this chorus possible
BUT FIRST A MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSOR
AUDIBLE HAS THOUSANDS OF AUDIOBOOKS AVAILABLE FOR STREAMING AND DOWNLOAD
Goddamn this song is GREAT
@@FlippinT REALLY GOOD
Fuko-chan!
The way he says Audible in the hook is so smooth. Super catchy. Definitely my favorite of the upbeat songs on the album.
I went for a walk listening to this album and the chorus just brings a skip to my step
Its so tasty
I can't wait for the song about Rivers shaving his dadstache with Dollar Shave Club.
Good god I can imagine that
please weezer needs to make that for van weezer
Ok guys, but that chorus tho... that was good
Everyone's talking about the strings on this album, but can we talk about the drums for a second. I really like the drums on this album, pat did an excellent job.
This really is Pat’s album
The bass was also pretty good in a few tracks
The strings are great but the whole project would have fallen apart if it weren’t for the drums
Geography boy
Pat's had a lot of solid drumming throughout most, if not all of Weezer's discography. This album is no exception.
Jacksfilms better move over, Weezer is Audible's best sponsor now.
Rivers and Jack should do a collab together just talking about Audible
but what does audible stand for?

zombie bastards is the cringiest song i'm glad he did
@@mac_II see I agree the lyrics are sub par for rivers, but I LOVE the way zombie bastards sounds
@@mac_II if it weren't about zombies that song would be really good
@@canyontheman i assumed the zombies were a metaphor for something like terrible fans or something and not actually zombies
Uh, no? He's saying reading a good book is better than binge-watching shows like The Walking Dead.
"Zombie Bastards" is about "zombie" fans who criticize him whenever he tries something new.
this is literally one of the best songs Ive heard in a while
Dude same
This album hasn’t even been out for a full day and it’s already a classic
"I just don't care

Lovin’ the use of more string instruments in Ok, human.
yeah ir sounds like the beatles or something like theres literally no electric guitar the entire time. i was excited when i heard about a piano based weezer album and the more detailes i heard the more excited i got because i feel like rivers does this thing where he just wants to release another alvum so he just like autofills generic lyrics and doesnt really have much of a point, or like all of the energy is put into 1-3 songs and the rest aren’t that good. but he really had something to say for this album and it’s the most poetic weezer has ever sounded and it’s such a different and unique sound not even for weezer but just for music right now. this is up there next to the white album.
it sounds like Revolver a little
I love this song. Especially “open ear and open mind, I can see without my eyes.”
Critics: the songs lyrics are too on the nose and cringey.
Rivers: What's with these homies dissin' my girl?

Mmmmmmmm New Weezer at midnight?? Love you guys.
This is definitely one of my new favorite songs.
Adopt me now, Rivers. Y'all epic 👽
This seriously might be my favorite Weezer song, it's so goddamn good
Certainly a lot of literature in there xD great lyrics, great tune, great song.

Thanks for posting the lyrics. They are clearly sung as well.
Fav song off the album!
Best song on the album, with Dead Roses. Return to form after PD and Black. This is experimentation done right, Rivers
So, a whole new Weezer album was just casually dropped, while we're still waiting for Van Weezer? I can't appreciate that enough. Nice work, Weezer!! The most productive band ever.
They have no choice because they can’t release Van Weezer till May 2021 and they already had this album Ok Human done and wanted to release it
finally a song for bookworms

The first 25 seconds reminds me so much of that "I Really, Really, Really Like This Image" song about that hedgehog pic...
walking through the school halls I slap on my headphones and than I don’t exist

🥰
My John Mayer playlist has been on repeat since the pandemic started. Never thought a day would come when a new Weezer playlist would replace it. "OK Human" is that good!
Absolutely great, I love this song ❤
Favorite I've heard so far :)
Rivers writing a song about reading books and relaxing....and he just dont care! Thats awesome
This is the most natural I've heard in a while from Weezer
The cello sounds good

Rivers' lyrics in this album are soo relatable.

Wow I am loving this new album!! Really liked PD, this is even better (I may be a bit biased though, I am partial to orchestra in other genres being a violinist lol)
Bravo. Great work Weezer!
We have been blessed by the art of Weezer and I am soooo happy I have Hella Mega tickets 😭🎉
incredible
Thank you mr weezer
I adore this song
The chorus reminds me of QB Blitz

this song slaps
Thank you, Weezer 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I felt so intellectual when I got the 1984 reference even though I’m fully aware I would’ve never read it if it wasn’t for my English teacher
Haha same.
Big brain moment
This song is full of literature references lol. Grapes of Wrath is a book written by John Steinbeck, not to mention all the other book references in this song. So this is literally the ultimate song for (not only) book lovers.
@@crazymaj17 I love reading and now feel stupid for not knowing who Yossirian is
@@-Teague- to be honest I had to look up the Catch-22 reference as well. We can feel stupid together :D

I love Audible ❤️ and I love Weezer ❤️

9.5/10 album
Holy sh*t this band is talented.
One of my favorites from the album. A thread of intellectualism runs through Weezer's otherwise simple songs. I think a lot of people miss it and dismiss them as just a silly band.
The song mentions Yossarian, a character from my favorite book. Makes me love it that much more. Probably going to have it on repeat the rest of the day.
@@erlineandrews "I'm the bombardier... I'm all right". What a great book.
More like people don't appreciate Rivers writing style. While I get some of his lyrics can be on the nose/cringe, he genuinely writes about things he is passionate about. During lockdown, he got obsessed with using audible to listen to hundreds of books. He prefers literature to say binge watching shows on Netflix.
A lot of people don't like to read today, but the point of the song is that many novels contain thrilling stories that are just as exciting as highly produced TV. And in this case, Rivers is arguing that a service like Audible makes it accessible the same way that streaming has made shows accessible.
So like many subject matters he writes on, he writes about something in his life that he loves. And I guess that is a major turn off to some people (because talking about a modern subject can date a song). But I love how Rivers just wears his heart on his sleeve, regardless of the cringe. He doesn't write about things because its a commercial or promotion, he just writes about what he knows (the Black Pink lyric in Screens for example).
Plus this tracks chorus is fire. No matter if its about audible,
He is a gifted songwriter, but people can be excused for thinking of them as a meme band. I mean really, have you seen the man's twitter?
@@-Teague-
Just goes to show you can never judge a book by its cover.
Edit: I'm high and I realized it's funny af that I said that in a song that's about fucking books
