- Here's a solid foundation for creating a powerful Kusarigama wielding Ninja William in Nioh. PS4. Instead of an OP, high-level end-game character, I thought I would build this character and gear to the point where all the primary stats are filled, and from here the player can tweak some stats, or just go yolo and dump everything else into Skill and Dex and wreck shop (recommended) Remember, sloth is for pu**ies.

Nice. So far I've gotten this character to 100, putting all points equally into Dex and Skill, and without buffs am still running over everything many levels higher
You mentioned you could use the sword with this build as well. Does it work rather well. I watch tons of vids but they're all about NG+ and Sloth+Carnage. Glad I found this. This is really what I wanted. I'm used to the sword. Does the same stats work as well for it? Thanks again Ninja Flips

This build is so farm focused, you need the change to attack skill(which i haven’t been able to find inherited weapon wish it) or receive 1 from reforging, you need to farm tons of spider husks for a chance to craft a purple iga armor .

I like soft-capping Magic to 10 and then focus on a Dex-to-Body/Heart ratio (+3 Dex, +2 Heart, +1 Body) whenever I farm for levels.
please try nioh dlc its so amazing and they finally added pvp i know you would like it no more just revenants but now real people you can do 2v2 and 1v1 so much fun

Does armor scale as you level up or do you have to make a new set every 10 levels or so?
Ninja Flips, I really like your build, but I also like katanas more than kusa. Would it be viable to go Dex/Heart instead of Dex/Skill and use katana as main weapon, leaving everything else the same?
Maybe changing cta to Dex (if it's even possible) for the sword?
I'm really me to the game, so would really appreciate anyone's thoughts on this.
kusarigama and spear i roll with im getting to the point now where i can switch weapons mid combat effortlessly.
My build for fighting human is serpent strike then do foot swept then grapple them for high stances only

for Iga jonin apparel, where do you get Spider leg husk at such low level?
Kill the spider boss in that haunted house looking level over and over and over.
Does the second character share inventory or storage???
Leveling up helps but tbh, if you're a level 1 with a max level gear in game you can still survive a strong attack from most enemies in Way of the Strong mode last area. So yeah leveling is really good but as this game is an RPG that means, GEAR > LEVEL

Hi, newbie here. Why is heart 15? For the sword? If I just want to focus mainly on the kura is it necessary to put any points into heart?
I would have to go back n look but I'm guessing minimum equipment stats, like he armor? I think that's it

Hm, unless I feel I'm going to need more Heart for Ki, I'm recently starting a dual swords/kusarigami build. I took spirit to 12... because I prefer my stats "even" or in fives, though I know it's not optimal. It's funny though, with my Body at 8, it's not the One-Eyed Ogres that wreck me... it's the Yoki with the axe. Bam, lost my Ki. Slam, dead in one shot from an overhead swing of the axe.
It's been forever since I made this (and played this, now that I think about it), but I remember certain stats to meet min. requirements for gear and Spirit familiar (whatever it's called), then from there dump all points into damage stats. The idea was to summon all the inner ninjaness lol

At 14:20 you say " And since you get a damage bonus based on your ninjutsu" Where/How does that work exactly?
Also i wonder would it not be better or atleast equally good to have change attack to dexterity on the sword?
Its been a couple years, but IIRC, the ninja set comes with sword/Kusarigama. Having all the pieces greatly increases your Ninjutsu bonus. Thus the uchi rather than dual swords.
So why when i do exactly this can i not use the weapon (its equipped as weapon 1 but when i attack it does the punch/kick thing)
try to hold bumper button to switch to your other weapon.

Love the vid! A well thought through build and not too prescriptive. What controller layout do you use?
So I’m planning on using the kusarigama only. Idrc about the sword, but obviously ima have it for the set bonus. If my sword has Change to attack (skill) like the one in the video, if it is sheathed, does the bonus still apply? In other words, do I need to have the sword in my hands for that attack bonus to activate? If not, I’m not gonna waste my time reforging and tempering the sword to get CTA (skill or Dex)

What mission did you farm to get that much amrita?
The one I liked farming best, because I needed the materials the boss dropped to improve gear was the one that ended with the Spider boss
Since you increased skill anyway, why didn't you choose dual swords instead of the katana?
Man, it's been a LONG time, but if I remember correctly the armor gets a bonus from the set katana and Kusarigama. Huge bonus to ninjutsu I think.

Because the IGA 7 piece set has a specific Kurisigama & Sword as the 2 weapons plus the 5 armour pieces.

Honestly I am kinda disappointed with the kusarigama here ...all ppl I see using it only uses the SAME freaking chain spin attack...the scythe is used for NOTHING...just spin the chain and repeat....
I agree, though there are probably combos that noone explored due to the 'spin to win' feature of the weapon. No game is perfect
The fighting is just boring man...
