I'll never have the money to buy a shed much less one of these beautiful properties but watching your videos makes me feel like I'm there.
Thanks glad you enjoyed
We, me and my wife, saw you in flesh today passing by in your Ami at the traffic light close to the port on bv. Carnot. We would like to thank you for your content, makes our usual life at the North Sea a little bit more Mediterranean.
Thanks and good to see you!
Citroen AMI is the perfect match for the narrow streets of the villages in the French Riviera and the Italian villages...
It really is!
We paid $28,000 for our house in Vermont luckily cash. It is so much fun to watch your videos on property in the Riviera since Iâm originally from France. Thanks for the dreams!
Thatâs sounds like a good and sensible deal!
The drive to the first property brought memories flooding back. A close friend was cook for a while at the grand villa with the row of pillars. The fountain and view point were favorite places to show visitors after eating at Villefrance. I remember her agency building being built and just after the turn right was The Grignotiere, the favorite restaurant of my closest friend's aunt.
I think the Grignotiere is still there DP
My pick? The number three property the villa with those sweeping views priced at around $3 million USD. Sadly out of my price range but if I was looking to live on the French Riviera, I must have my views! Thatâs a non negotiable for me at that price point. Which rules the two other properties out of consideration. I know exactly what I want and Iâm unwilling settle for less than being able to see the sea and the mountains, if possible, from my home. Good tour though and the appearance of Mr. Boo at the end was a delightful surprise!
Yes I think weâll need many more coffees before we can put in an offer!
A brilliant video guys and lovely 'guests'. A real pleasure. Elton sure is the right size for the narrow passages. đ
Thanks Andrew.
You made my palms sweat! I kept expecting Elton to get wedged. Such beautiful scenery. Gorgeous properties. How could anyone be unhappy there? *long sigh* Another very fun and informative video! Thank you!
Thanks Mike. Oh many manage it I assure you. As Larkin said ânothing like something happens anywhereâ
Love your sense of humor⊠đ
thanks
This was very informative--not only about relative prices, but also dfference in temperature between Villefranche village and the upper hills. I enjoyed the earlier Ami journeys to cemetaries in the countryside (accompanied by my favorite version of Pandemonium} and seeing real estate and people who work in the area can be just as interesting in a different way. Glad the "star of the show" finally made an appearance in La Turbie. Bonne journey!
Darn that spell check. Bonne journee!
Thanks Archie. Fear not when the rentrée happens and the crowds disperse we shall be back on the road searching out far out villages!
Cool video always great seeing new places.
Indeed!
A quiet, homely country place for me but near enough to civilisation! Great insight into property/ lifestyle.
Iâm of the same mind!
@@MeandMonAmi Brilliant I did wonder what your thoughts were on the matter. Great minds! đ
Lovely people, epic views and another very well edited video, thank you. đ
Thanks John
Fantastic video love the house
Thanks Stuart!
First ClassâŠ.. very exited !
Thanks Andrew!
Well done guys, nice new content.
Thanks Paul
This video is one of your most fabulous!
Thanks Tony!
Loved the video guys. The mix between sight seeing, driving the Ami & property showing, just awesome, keep up the good work!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed.
Stunning appartements
Great video. đ
Thanks
Fun episode. Far beyond my budget.
And mine!
What kind of microphones are you using? Iâd like to check those out. She seemed a bit nervous with you driving through those tiny passage ways, I dare call them streets and what a lovely lady she is, loved her personality.đ Thank you for taking us on these wonderful trips with you guys, I actually feel like Iâm there with you, I love it! I marathon watched your videos while dealing with Covid-19, I was loving that I was able to do that with you. Thank you so much!
We use Rode wireless go 2âs. Hope you are feeling better
What a lovely property. We have just closed on 7 Rue Gambetta last month. We are currently getting the place ready for rental when we are not there.
On my...beautiful places..about as far away as the moon to my budget....but wow..good luck to any that can afford..they will enjoy every moment....what a spectacular video.....cheers
Thanks Chris. Yes, I think we will need a lorra coffees to get near!
Great video. Definitely do more property tours. I am so nosy! Thought the villa would be more expensive.
Thanks. By the sea would have been. La Turbie is nice though!
This is my favorite episode so far. Maybe do more, showing up dreamy places to buy?
Thanks. They take a long time to set up is the problemâŠ
Just very recently come across the channel you two so playing catch up and loving each episode, I immediately caught your accent Tim, I am actually in Baildon which you no doubt have heard of with your Bradford connection. France is absolutely beautiful, when our two girls were smaller ( they are now 40 and 44 with their own wonderful families) together with my late wife ( I lost her age 60 seven years back ) we holidayed there for years and years ( mainly west coast ) fabulous times. Keep up the brilliant content you pair, regards.
Thanks Richard. Itâs been a while since I was in Bradford. So glad you are enjoying.
Cool Tim, Great Tour! Last property seemed very much you and Mr. Boo's style, and with a few more Coffees you could be up for a move.
Yes just a coupleâŠ
Great episode, Tim. Your drive down Rue de Poilu, past the Petit Casino and the Place du Conseil brought back memories of our many previous stays in that neighbourhood. Also, the idea of selling up here, buying an apartment in VSM and returning here to visit family at Christmas and in July and August (while renting out the VSM spot for the high season) is appealing. Not getting any younger. You only regret the things you didn't do ....
Thanks Simon. Many Brits return to U.K. in July august when weather better there and riviera getâs crowded.
Another brilliant episode. I just love the daring do of the push-on through the ever narrowing way. Wonderfully different take on life in Villefranche.
Thanks Martin
@@MeandMonAmi Shame about the last villa visited and that ugly rusted stanchion (power pole?) sticking out of the ground, right in front of the view. How much off for that?
So pleased to see your sunsbribers climbing towards the 10k
Thanks Andrew.
Thank you that was very interesting, lovely lady too. One of my favourite things is looking at houses đđ Thanks again both.
Thanks Linda. I think we all love a nosey into someone elseâs house donât we?!
What a gorgeous place, and no madmen driving cars through tiny gaps.
Thank Goodness!
Another interesting video, oh! how the other half live, still didn't do Diana or Princess Grace a lot of good đą I've just worked out a challenge for you - Tower to Tower - Eifell to Blackpool 852 Km (avoids Motorways) but will take a minimum of 12 recharging stops and heaven knows how long đ€Łđ€Ł Probably not a practical idea lol.
Safe travels both, look forward to your next outing.
Itâs a great challenge. Only problem is Iâd have to pass a driving test to legally drive it on the U.K. (but we are planning a grand challenge soon!)
What a cool video. I would like to see now the cheapest ways to get into the rare french riviera and some of the cheapest properties and land sales?
Thanks. Thatâs a very good idea!
Superb! Loved this oneâŠthat 3rd property was gorgeousâŠ.you could rent it out in peak season and live very happily on the proceeds for the rest of the year. All I need is a little lottery win đ€
We nearly made that the video title!
I really enjoyed this. I need to buy you a beer đș
Thanks Chris. Weâre thirsty;
after the last door service, doors sound much better when you close them... I think so.. one more interesting video...
They genuinely do. I mean itâs not quite a Rolls Royce sound butâŠ
I love your channel! I BINGED YOU! About rentals... Not a good business the 610.000 apartament( i imagine on top different taxes ,lawers etc) With 16.000 a year you recuperate the investment in 37 years.Or 2.8 % return a year without counting taxes , expenses or costs involvedwith buying..Is idylic but is still a very old building.
Thanks glad you are enjoying!
Loving your videos. We are coming to Monaco in two weeks đ, just shows how a different approach to transport can work.... Would love to grab a coffee with you guys if you are around. My Partner Pete (Peter Gilbert who commented below) is great advocate on climate issues and also loves your videos đ
Thanks. Send us a DM on Instagram when you are around.
No show without Mr Boo----!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apparently notâŠ
Loved it Tim ! You excelled yourself this time with a great video & great co-star performances ! đđ
Kristin and Mr.Boo were on-form.
Is he getting a new scooter for Christmas ? đ
You canât best a good ride ! đ
P.S.: The first property was my favourite, just lovely. Which did you like best , the greek-style second one ?
Thanks. Design wise the second one was more me but I wouldnât mind a steam and sauna at home;
@@MeandMonAmi
You canât beat a good sauna with friends . Put a bit more water on the hot coals ! đ
Be more carefull Elton nearly lost an earing when you cliped that scooter, really interesting how the other half live đ
Goodbye Norma Jean. Indeed..
They are beautiful houses, but I will continue to live in Katwijk aan Zee, 200 meters from the beach!
That sounds lovely.
Its literally Half the price of property in Ascot where i live , here for a 1 bed house they want ÂŁ1 million on the button just because the new homes are opposite Ascot Racecourse , thing is ive lived here for over 3 years and its a boring place when no racing is on and even worse beggars have now arrived on the high street , very scary.
made the studio I liked in Eze sur Mer look cheap - however was just 16 sq m @ ÂŁ200000 via Savills in Villefranche .... now sold
Yup not cheap!
WoW⊠All amazing properties, love the town house⊠Really enjoyed this Video and often wondered what it would be like to buy and the process a foreigner would have to go through. Having someone like Kristin helping would definitely be an advantage. Would love to see more of Eltons escapades as a Realtor đ
Thanks Jimmy. Yes I think we will try and visit some less expensive places at some stage in the Autumn
Soooooooo... not really in my budget then. If I scrunched up and huddled down, I could perhaps run to a single square metre? Never mind, I shall continue to experience the life of luxury vicariously, from the comfort of my dining chair in front of the iMac, here in sunny Leicestershire.
Best way. Imagine the cost of the pool upkeep!
Another amazing video. I have a question. Would you recommend the car ? Going to look at one tomorrow. Just for work ? Love the car
I would but Iâd check out my 4000km review video because I think you have to consider if it works for your use case.
@@MeandMonAmi Will do thanks đ
Blimey, the glamour quotient just shot up! off the scale! [not that Elton isn't glamorous of course] When she said "You're literally 2 seconds from the port" she meant, "by jumping out of the window", of course
Elton has had to lie down in a darkened room for a week!
@@MeandMonAmi đđ đ€Ł
You naughty, naughty man ... "It's bigger than I expected"... "Lots of people tell me that" and she didn't bat an eyelid. Sadly those sorts of prices are also to be found in certain parts of Cornwall.
American dead pan! Yes, not cheap. There are however much more reasonable bits of the Riviera which weâre hoping to feature in the future.
Going on savings mode as of today.đđđ„â.. I only need a Centuryđđ
Me too!
To be honest. All your video looks so sunny all the time. It's like Miami/Texas made whatever offspring that constantly radiates heat. Hard to want to buy a property there.
I was interested of buying the last property until I saw the rusty pole and the wire 26:51 disturbing the view. Thank god I saw it before I put in a bid, it is a deal breaker for me đ€Ł
Nearly got you!;
Better get playing euro millions Iâd love that villa!
We nearly titled the video âwe won the lotteryâ
@@MeandMonAmi đđ
For one brief moment there, I wished I were rich... wait, maybe if 305,000 people bought me a coffee...
Now thereâs an idea!
The first time I've seen a practical purpose and a good example of a car of this size. It seems that it is suited to France and tiny french villages...
I still think it's way overpriced for what it is... But I do see a purpose for a vehicle like this for the first time.
It definitely works for us Dave.
2:36 I think the double entendres went a bit whoosh as Americans are not brought up with the esteemed works of Kenneth Williams, Sid James and Barbara Windsor.
I donât know what you are referring to!;
I have to be honest. I did gasp a few times when you got really close to the wall. Iâm hoping it looked worse on the camera than in real life. We canât hurt Elton again. Not after your scrape on his wheel. đ€«
His wing mirror survived!
That is great news. You must hate hitting him on anything. Look forward to the next adventure.
Good day from Canada. It would be interesting to see similar video, but focused on what you could get for 200-300k range in region. Interest as partner and I are planning to retire Southern Frnc 2025.
Yes we plan to do some more property things in the new Year. Youâd probably be looking inland for that sort of money but we shall see.
Someone told me the battery can be removed to charge in house if needed.Is this true?Many thanks
No way itâs enormous! But you can charge car at home very easily and cheaply
Think I have very expensive tastes, as I'd certainly go for the fabulous 3rd property...........unfortunately at the moment I couldn't even afford to offer 3 million pennies let alone âŹ3M đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
If we all chip in we might manage it;
Kristin: Oh! It's bigger than expected!
Tim: People tell me that a lot *wink wink*
I saw what you did there!
Iâve no idea to what you refer!;
@@MeandMonAmi You sit on a throne of lies my good sir!
He scares me in old town when he turns to the back to talk while driving. too bad if you're a pedestrian.
I have eyes everywhere;
I love watching this channel but get quite upset when I see the car going through narrow village streets, so disrespectful you know you shouldnât be doing this
We donât drive on any road that isnât a public highway
Oooh, you've got yourselves a new neighbour! Just got to get myself a passport. And some money.
Also, I obviously had a very cosmopolitan upbringing; mum and dad had a bidet fitted when they had a new bathroom built. Don't think it's ever been used in the last 40 years though!
Also also, I thought you were going to say 'the villa of Lily Savage'! đ
The villa of Lily Savage cracked me up!
In the words of a Yorkshire adjacent person, âHOW MUCH! BY âECK YOUTH!â
Ow much!?
People "Go to Mass" for your B'Day...
Lol. En Masse!;
She completely missed your funny joke!
Or maybe she chose to ignore my smut!
lovely girl
Rip off no villagers left because of idiots paying these prices another village destroyed
A German lady with a feminine touch. What an oxymoron.
