Satisfactory 1.0 Date release coming Friday?

Satisfactory and Factorio announcing on the same day would be crazy

ik people think that factorio 2.0 and satisfactory 1.0 having their news come out at the same time will shadow each other media wise, but i honestly think it could boost both of their publicity. only scenario i could see it being a problem is if 1 company was considerably larger than the other. it’s already a big gossip point amongst factory gamers so imagine the impact of having 2 of the biggest factory games come together for public announcements
I've had a few people come into stream say that if they Factorio 2 coincides with Satisfactory 1.0 They'll be playing Factorio and only checkout Satisfactory when they're done, and that can be months from my experience with some games.
I agree having two similar games can be of benefit sometimes, but when people spend 100's of hours in a single playthrough, no braining that one game it could cause substantially less new game purchases of player counts. If there's a month or two apart, then one feeds into the other quite nicely IMO

If we're only talking release date reveals and not releases I think they could indeed signal boost each other. Case in point, I didn't know about the Factorio 2.0 release announcement before this short. And I recently started a new playthrough in the 1.x
@TotalXclipse I agree but only because I haven't played factorio as recently as satisfactory. I'm equally excited about both announcements, but also remember these are just announcements they are not release dates so we don't know how far apart the release dates will be.
@@torxe3922 this is what i meant to get at. i’m not a factorio player but i keep a close eye on satisfactory news. basically half of my feed is also factorio news now as well

Unrelated but I love the videos man! Recently you have inspired me to play again. I haven't played much and usually always quit at the steel stage (like 6 saves now). Probably because that's when things start to get actually hard. Anyways I'm actually building my first large steel factory thanks to all the inspiration from your vids! :D
Indeed, it's amazing how complex this game gets. The more I play it, though, the better I get, and the easier and funner it seems to be.
And ya, Xclipse's videos are definitely inspiring. I love this community!
For someone who couldn't get into Factorio, didn't like the style etc, both having announcements on the same date doesn't bother me. I do know there are a lot of other people out there who are in the same boat, just a less vocal bunch.

Today Snutt said that they wont be immediately increasing the price, so it could be mid /end September, but the later the better IMO

I think Snutt said they hadn't but was under the impression it wouldn't really effect either party id they did release at the same time - which I think isn't true. I very much hope they don't coinside

They are releasing a 2.0 and a paid DLC for Factorio in October

I think possibly a little later as they said they wont immediately increase the game's price so perhaps September atm. But IMO the later the better!
