Yep, for me the key is stuff like when he says ‘uh-huh, yeah, pretty much’ in reply to Atlas’ indecipherable toddlerspeak (at around 0:48). It’s something I tried to do with my daughter since she was a baby too - just talk as if it’s a regular conversation and they’ll thrive as confident, sociable, intelligent kids. Exhibit A - Saylor.

My daughter’s pediatrician recommended cleaning around the rim of her eye with Johnson’s baby shampoo on a Qtip. It would clear right up. It was the only thing that ever worked. After doing it a few times, she didn’t have anymore reoccurrences. I’ve used it myself as soon as I would start to feel one. Takes it right away.

    • @danssand1
      @danssand1 Před 2 měsíci +2

As a GP I can tell everybody this is true! Take a cup of water put a few drops of baby shampoo in it, dip a Qtip in it and clean the rims of your eye 2 times a day..everyday! Use a clean Qtip everyday. Also when there’s a recurring infection it could help to do a swab and send it to the lab (during the infection) to check which bacteria causes this!

Next time you have a stye take a gold ring (this is the key component!) & rub it on your pants to make it warm. Rub that over your stye. It takes them away so much quicker! I have no clue why it works, but it does!! Must be a gold ring though!

Hey! I told you this in your last video, too.
I’ve been having that eye problem since im 5.
    And tried EVERYTHING.
They come back again and again. I had several operations, too.
Best thing is to clean your eyes every night so nothing gets lumped together.
But for now forget all the creams, just put on an onions thin skin. Not the fat ones we eat but between the layers, you’ll find a very thin skin, put that on your eyes for a few days at bed time and youre good to go ❤

Dude I feel you on the stye. Im from Florida and I used to get them bad when i was in elementary/middle school. Even turned into a chalazion that had to be surgically removed (great way to start middle school). My doctor said it is what it is basically so sometimes there's really not much you can do. Gently massaging your lash line with baby shampoo to keep your oil glands as dirt free as possible can help. Big ups brother ❤

Mix 5-10 drops of Pure Manuka Essential Oil in a 30ml dropper bottle with Rapeseed Oil. Shake before using add a drop to a cotton bud (Q Tip)then apply to infected area. Hopefully within an hour you should feel some relief. I used this mixture when I got a sty for the first time the following day the swelling around my eye was virtually gone. This mix can be used for any abrasions. I hope you are able to buy Pure Manuka Essential Oil in the US? I live in New Zealand. You can use Extra Virgin Olive Oil as a substitute for Rapeseed Oil 🙏🏽

Loved the video, even if it was a bit short. Taking care of yourself is ALWAYS more important.
And how wonderful was it to see that you had some one on one time with your wife!! She is an amazing mom!
As for your eye situation, you could maybe try a castor oil pack. Use a few dros drops of cold pressed unrefined castor oil on either an organic cotton or wool type fabric and lie down with your eye closed with it on your eye.
You don't need much and maybe for about 30 minutes at night.. Castor oil is actually really great for several things. I always say do your own research on it because we all should.
Hopefully, you can get some relief soon!

In my experience, preventative practice is what keeps my styes under control. I bought an elecrric eye mask and use Systane eye ointment that I use every night before I go to hed. Helps to keep the eyes moist and drains the eyelids over tine. Have not had a stye in over 5 years and counting.

Hey man!! I can totally relate to your frustrations associated with styes and chalazia lol. I have experienced an ongoing battle with them throughout the last few months. In February, I had a stye and chalazia surgically removed: tiny incisions into the clogged oil glands to drain them. In March, I got a steroid injection into a stye to help reduce inflammation. The steroid injection really helped. My doctor just diagnosed me with blepharitis and recommended to: take fish oil, massage my eyelids vigorously with a warm compress, clean my eyelids with ocu soft lid scrub, limit stress and sleep deprivation, use a steroid/antibiotic eye drop, use thera tears for dry eyes due to computer usage, etc..
    Hope you feel better soon!!

I get reoccurring styes too. In my case, it’s from a lot of oil build up on the lash line. I use preventative measures such as: almost never touching my eyes with my hands (using tissues instead) and using ocusoft lid scrubs every other week. The lid scrubs are really good at getting the extra dirt off the lids that we don’t really see!Now its easier to notice when my eyes are feeling gross to try to catch the styes before they come. Hope this helps!

Try getting a red light lamp for the styes. As soon as you feel a slight discomfort just sit in front of it for 10min a day (with closed eyes) and it will reduce/prevent the inflammatipn and help with the clogged sebum/bacteria. Its great to use dry heat instead of wet compresses as these can cause bacteria to spread and cause further infection. Its been a game changer. You cant prevent them from forming but with this you can pretty much resolve the issue before they are visibly noticeable. :)

Hey, I’m just watching this, but if you keep castor oil on your eyelids, especially around your lashes, it will help to keep you from getting sties . My sister has a problem getting them too. Castor Oil is a natural antibiotic. I promise you won’t regret using it. The stuff is amazing and a gift from GOD!!! Get you some soon and tell your wife to put it on her eyes too. You’ll both have beautiful lashes since it conditions and helps them grow 💕☺️

I get reoccurring styes as well. I finally went to an ophthalmologist and they prescribed me erythromycin ophthalmic ointment which is basically a gel like antibiotic for the eyes. I worked like a charm. Then I got a stye again like 2 years later and I needed the antibiotics real bad quickly. So Zeth, I suggest you go to a CVS minute clinic and you should be able to get it. That’s how I get my erythromycin ophthalmic gel now.

I have had repeating chalazions as well. If I'm not on it with the compresses/heat right when I feel it coming on, I'll pay for it. Only other thing I can recommend is boil a pot of water (you don't need much), put a towel over your head and the pot and steam your whole face over it. Good for the pores anyway and takes 5 minutes. I get it sucks though! On the plus: looks beautiful at that beach ⛱️

Styes develop when a clogged gland or hair follicle on the edge of your eyelid becomes infected. They’re very common, especially in people who frequently rub their eyes or don’t clean their contacts properly.
It can be quite painful, but they usually go away on their own. Warm compresses can help them drain and heal more quickly. But in some cases if it gets really swollen, I suggest you go to the ER to have them drain it.
Hope your eye gets better. If you wear contacts, try to keep them off until your eye heals and wear glasses for now. Take care

A stye is caused by a blockage of one of the oil glands in the eyelids. This allows bacteria to grow inside the blocked gland. I don't know if you wear contacts, but if you do, you should try not putting them on for a while. Basically, you need to try and avoid getting bacteria in that area. Try keeping it clean as much as you can and you can also try applying aloe vera and leave it on for 20 minutes, then wash it off.

Figure out if it’s a sty or chilasian. My son was scheduled for surgery years ago for a chilasian. My Chinese acupuncturist fixed it in one session . The surgeon that afternoon said wow there’s nothing to do surgery on now! He was free for years and years . Had something recently but compressed it a lot i think and healed it. Make sure Not too hot on the compress . I think he was told to get off the spicey foods. Chinese medicine has a different theory and system than western med.

As someone who gets styes a few times a year. I get it. There’s nothing really to do about stopping from getting them. I normally get mine on my lash line. And I don’t know what causes them.

Hi Zeth, can I ask, does the Stye always happen in the exact same spot or does it happen in different spots in your left eye? A stye happens when an oil-producing gland is blocked or cannot drain properly. It is possible that your initial surgical procedure partially damaged one or a couple of the glands to the point where it can never drain properly. If this issue is specific to one or two spots, you could potentially find an eye doctor that is willing to surgically remove that specific gland that is causing issues similar to Chalazion Removal Surgery but not exactly the same. However it would be very important that you mark or keep track of the exact spot(s) where the styes occur. Id suggest taking a close up photo of your eye and holding a ruler or tape measure along the length of your eyelid to pinpoint the exact spot the styes occur. The more accurate and exact you pinpoint the area, the less trouble the eye doctor will have figuring out what to remove without unnecessarily removing more glands than needed. NOT EVERY eye doctor will be willing to do this, some will say that it is not needed or they just wont understand what you need. It does not cost anything to keep calling different eye doctors in your city, nearby cities, whole state, or any state. A flight to another state for a great doctor is only $100-200 round trip but it just depends on what you consider worth it to get rid of your problem for good

Omg I went through the same thing with the styes and also had a chalazion. The only thing that works for me is washing my waterline / eyes / face out with Johnson baby soap. The yellow one.

Re’; eye problem. I had a reoccurring sty (sp?) problem for 3 years. My eye would swell shut it was so bad. I saw a number of doctors -getting nowhere, and it wasn’t until maybe the 5th doctor I saw (eye doctor) that said to me almost quizzically, “well, one of my colleagues is testing a theory around Omega-3”. I had exhausted all other avenues so, I started taking three Omega-3 pills daily THE MOMENT i started to feel my eye get a little red or sore. Then I would stop the Omega-3 once the redness or pain dissipated. I would only repeat this process if I felt any hint of it coming back. I am happy to say for the last two+ years, I haven’t had any serious problems since. Obviously , speak to your doctor before taking anything new, but this was the game changer for me. I was kinda shocked something so simple changed my life so dramatically.

You should try a warm wet cloth on your eye. Don't rub it. My baby sister used to get those alot. I don't know why though.

I have the same issue as you do with my eye and I have that little bump in the inside of my eyelid that looks like a like a piece of sand and they don’t bother me but sometimes on occasions it does bother me and I can feel it, and it feels like somethings in my eye, and I can never get it out But the eye that this is in is also the eye that I have issues with styes on……. I always wondered what that was. It makes me wonder if I should go see a doctor about it maybe have you seen a doctor about it a specialist or anything???
