Why are you coasting in neutral when slowing down? I'd highly recommend some professional instruction before hitting the track, definitely something worthwhile especially if you plan to come back

hey aaron! i can see u had some issues getting into 6th gear in the video. do u know what the problem is with that? sometimes i cant get into reverse and its harsh to get into reverse gear, otherwise its smooth

I've driven The Tail of the Dragon. It's a good time for a Driver Enthusiast. Make sure there's no frost/ice/leaves patches on the curves, otherwise it can ruin your day. Officer Friendly will be there in one of those curves guarentee. I reccomend doing the entire Smoky Mountain Loop. You won't regret it.

keep those rpms above 3500 for those twin turbos, you lose your boost dropping into neutral on corners, my g35 has its sweet spot for acceleration at 3750 without turbos
Also man, you know you can split your fuse and get rid of all that bs brake assist!!?

Grats on popping your track day cherry, could see the anxiety there for sure, but its addictive. How did the car hold up? Any heat issues?
Held up great! Considering I don't have a splash plate on the upper oil pan or a stock girdle, everything went very well although I didn't go as hard as I could have for sure!
You should try the drags. Bit easier on the car and you still get the speed rush.
Good job on your first track day. Did you have any issues with oil sump/delivery/pressure? How any brake fade as the brakes got hot?
Brakes did get a bit hot but no bad brake fade or anything like that on the akebonos and they wore fairly evenly. Jesse had a bit of brake fade on his corolla though
@@AaronNewmanSounds good. I've had good luck with the Akebono ASP line for spirited street driving. For Track use, I would recommend a more aggressive track pad. A track pad is not good for street use and can be dangerous.
