FBE react to Andy mimeo
Having an Elder’s react to the teen’s questions like, “Did kids back then find these PSA’s useful or laughable” would be interesting.
1000th like
honestly, i was thrown off when the parents told their kids to date more people, where nowadays it's more common for parents to discourage dating completely.
Thats because back then people encouraged their children to start their lives. Now a days it seems most men and women arent independent enough to even live on their own. There are 28 year old peeps still living with their mom. Its sad.
@@nullakjg767 thats not true at all
There’s a difference between what was considered dating then vs now. Back then, parents, by “dating”, meant getting to know others of the opposite sex in a strictly non-sexual way, leave room for Jesus and all that. Parents now are aware that dating usually also means sexual activity. If the parents of back then were aware of that, they’d absolutely not be encouraging it.
What gets thought
1950: this is how to get a date
2018: this is how you get a due date
Due date?
Why not get elders to react to these PSAs?
That would be more interesting.
Yes! : )
Maybe not now I guess?
I wish this had been a multi-generational episode, with the teens and the elders. It'd be interesting to see the perspectives from people who grew up with these PSAs and to hear how they reacted to them when they were young.
TheaterRaven yess
TheaterRaven Exactly!
"it's called manners" yes and it has to be taught
especially nowadays
@@romanoonamor7690 tell that to the 90s and 80s kids boomer
@@spanicandkgyo8547 how many exes do you have?
I love how she said they were isolated because they didn't have social media.
Definitely not isolated lol. They had get togethers, and talked on the phone, made plans after school just like we do. It just took a bit more effort to get in touch with someone back then.
Ashley Shotwell yesss
I'm 38 now. But I remember when I was a child, I knew just about every single kid in my neighborhood. How many kids can say that now?
Ashley Shotwell actually we isolated 💀 now we don’t have to interact.. seeing pictures is not socializing..
so funny to see how clueless this generation about social interaction back there
Plus it was the normal way of life. So it was easier to do that with someone. Now we have other ways of doing thing it's harder to get people to do something's because if other ways we can communicate.
Please do Elders React to these PSAs, as I wonder how much they represented the actual 50s, as opposed to some fantasy the PSAs' writers had about the 50s. Maybe show the elders both the PSAs and this video, so they can react to the kids' thinking people in the 50s had parents telling them to "play the field" romantically.
And the adults say that this generation is messed up....
Madikat 05 exactly
I mean sometimes they have a point :/
I don’t think that’s how generations work
‘generation’
Nolie Canoli you know what I meant 😂😂 but yeah I used it wrong
It might seem like its commonsense, but so does not texting and driving and not watching your phone when you're at the dinner table or out on a date. Commonsense isn't as common as you think.
Notice how the younger ones don’t think these would be helpful and the older ones think they could.
Please react to 80s PSAs. domestic violence PSA [there's no excuse] & drug PSA [ I learned it from watching you]
How about "this is your brain" lol
Sabrina Spencer That one was a 90s psa.
+Chiffon Bunny Pretty sure it started in the 80's
"Jan knows how to have a good time" as she seductively licks the cotton candy 😂😂😂😂
Tony Oliver Lmaoooo 💀
Lol honestly that was my first thought.
“Our PSAs are more about scientific and educational stuff, that you learn from, not things that are common sense.” Don’t we have “don’t text and drive” PSAs for today’s teens? Sounds like common sense to me....
.
KooliSkey you would think
i don't think social media has anything to do with it, and people were probably more in tune with their confidence back then
"They were more sotialy akward back then"
Me : hahaha... wait WHAT *AM I STUCK BACK IN TIME*
YES THIS IS MY HUMOR
Most people still need to be taught manners and courtesy.
Mr. Nobody I
It's like the Krusty Krab Training video.
I lost it at the part when talking about how to say goodnight. Homie straight up risked it all 😂😂😂
I'm 19 going to 20 and I can honestly say people these days need this video. Dating has become more dangerous and ungenuine in the past years and some manners and etiquette could help with that.
Surround yourself with better people maybe?
Every Other Name is Already Taken I'm talking about teen and young adults in general but yes, that's how I manage, i try not to associate with people of the sort.
Seda Min i never mentioned that women need to behave. Obviously these videos are dated. I'm just simply stating that young people nowadays need a lesson on how to be respectful and genuine instead of being a bunch manwhores.
*CAN THE ELDERS PLEASE REACT TO THIS TOO?!?!*
Thats actually a good idea lets like this and get it to the top comment so editors can see it
I think the Elders have to watch these. It would be so interesting to hear their opinions on these PSA’s now.
Have the elders react to this. That'd be interesting.☺
Flute Loops and Fun
This is an honestly good idea.
Going steady is just an old way of saying exclusive. It isn't that difficult to wrap your head around.
MINDBLOWN- I just realized the term "going steady" devolved or simplified to "Go w/ me" by the 90's.
I really want an elders react to these PSA's please!
IF SHE BREATHES...
Respekt wamen!
All woman are Queens
It’ll be interesting to see what elders/adults would think about this and what their reaction would be to this video
Back in those days PSAs needed to be made because kids just did not know how to properly be in a relationship. From that time the kids who first saw those PSAs had kids and thought them what they learned and it kept getting passed down it common sense now because we were taught all those years ago
I would love to have the elders react to those dating videos or reacting to the teens reacting
Same!
Alex Vest YYEEESS!
yes!!!
I thought of that too!
Alex Vest I would love for them to react to both it'll be so interesting and fascinating to see there reactions to the teens and there responses and there take on stuff such as being polite and whatnot
Every time I see a video like this it gives me hope that this generation of kids you feature has it more together than we adults may think IRL.
Elders react to this. It would be wonderful to see them compare teens from before and teens today.
Have the elders react to old PSA'S and have them tell how it really was in those times.
Would LOVE to see an elders react on this to hear their perspective.
Can the Elders please react to this and give their experience if they saw stuff like this??
Willow Reads that would be so interested since they grew up in that time
Mary Darko exactly!!
The term "going steady" means being boyfriend and girlfriend, I'm 20 and I use it.
What's wrong with guys holding the door open
Carl Levelwind no idea ... can’t keep up with this 3rd wave nonsense. My guess it’s probably something ‘problematic’ ...
My advice run very far away when people use the term ‘problematic’ in a serious nature. 😀
I think teens and kids now a days learn these type of things from movies and other shows, either on TV or online. Even though TV's where around back then, there wasn't a lot of content, and many families didn't have a TV, probably just radio.
That's what I would think, but then you consider the whole #MeToo movement and not enough people understanding mutual consent. All seems common sense, but too many are apparently lacking it.
Those PSAs made sense for the time. Would be useful now too with how dating has changed but it seems people like to keep things ambiguous now instead of making it clear they're getting to know each other now and keeping things open mutually versus officially being serious between them or if it's appropriate to text often or wait and what not but the rules also change every few years
*HAVE ELDERS REACT TO OLD DATING PSA*
These teens use the word " like " a lot
Rafa Perazza haha yeah, but this is filmed in California and we do say like quite a bit
Not even just in certain areas like I say like a lot too and I'm a teen in the North East.
Most of this should be common knowledge but as my grandma said, if it was so common everyone would have it
I've recently gotten into the fashion of the 40s and 50s and I will binge these PSA's.
My dad has seriously told me before to date only multiple guys at once so i cant get my heart broken😂😂😂
Please show this to the Elders to get their perspectives!!!
People got married earlier and standards for both genders to act accordingly were strict. I so wish schools taught teens how to properly date and be respectful.
Same
Post WW II saw a rise in young marriage vs. the previous generation that dated based on a rating system. At least the youth of the 20s.
I'd love to see the elders react to this
I kind of like those final words because it is true. You expect the new generation to be better than the one 50 years ago just because we have more communication and entertainment than ever but the truth is that without the right direction and lessons people just wonder around like a bunch of confused ants only looking at what is entertaining not what is useful.
Captain America's PSAs are so much better. :D
Idk kids are still jerks today and they need to learn how to respect other people.
They should react to more of these. I watch these types of PSAs a lot, not just on relationships. If you do more of these, they should react to Your Thrift Habits, Good Eating Habits, How Much Affection, and Good Table Manners.
"Going to parties sick
Well, maybe that's you're fault bill"
ROASTED
Elders should react to this video
Noah The Northern that’s such a good idea tbh
Hannah Alyssa thank you!
I LOVE old PSAs and I've already seen all the ones that they showed on here
Here’s one for you: Disney made a menstruation film in 1946
Oh. Now kids or teens may react to this Disney Menstraution film in 1946.
@@OsagieGuobadia Only with males and females react to this disney animated film! : )
A few weeks ago I was on a train to and from Dallas and both ways I saw groups of teens that could have benefited from basic social PSA's. On the way there a group of boys got on with a few other people and one was an elderly woman with a cane. The boys made her stand as they took up all the seats, putting their feet up to make sure they took up all the seating. On the way back, the train was full but far from packed and a group of boys and girls would not move out of the wheelchair spot for me to park there. When I asked, they laughed and just went back to talking. Unfortunately, I know these are exceptions as I know a number of amazingly sweet boys and girls that are very courteous., but these kids are the only examples of what most of my generation sees.
I feel like we may need some of these again. It'd be nice to have lessons on human communication
“Who’s he talking too” haha had me dead😂😂💀
this reminds me of that video they showed the kids before the spring formal in girl meets world with riley going “BILLAY”
Am I the only teenager aware of the phrase "Going Steady"'
I had no clue what that meant so yeah
Apparently. These ones couldn't seem to wrap their brains around it.
Great vid. It’ll be cool if the elders could react to this or the teens reactions.
I'm so glad that the teens reacted to these PSAs. When I first found these on CZcams, I had a fun afternoon binging on them. There are SO many more they could react to!
Everything in the 60s was so cute and simple. The boys were adorable and it seemed like a good time to be alive. I love shows and music in the 60s. I also really love TV shows from the 70s.
taylor kimball yeah I love the old aesthetic too, but media only showed the pretty stuff from the era, it was definitely not a great time to be alive
Only if you were white.
Alberto Ramirez My grandmother is black and she liked the 60s
When all the teens you watched are grown up and you don't recognize any of the new kids 😥
Ezzy same here
Ezzy are you new to this? Because I know most of these people from kids and teens react
Rendy Aditya Pramana Nah I've been watching this channel since I was 13 or 14. I'm 20 now.
I am literally so obsessed with the react series
Alberto's explanation, with the raspberries and all, made this an instant classic and my favourite episode in years!
How do they not know what going steady means like tf
I was a teen in the 60's & my sister in the 50's & none of these ring true. Our parents taught us manners & life & these PSA'S were very laughable........
Haha some of these kids are like “what does going steady even mean?” and I’m like I low key still use that term. I learned it in a book I read as an 8 year old 😂
Do more really old things like this it was awesome
Have the elders react to the teens reactions here!!!!
They need PSA’s for parents cause most don’t have any common sense.
Lisa Millar 😂😂😂
Please, let the elders react to TEENS REACT TO DATING (OLD PSAs)!
I love these, they are super entertaining
This is giving me vibes of that Leave It to Beaver episode where he gets asked by two girls to the dance lmaoo
I actually edited a music video for a friends band years ago using this same footage.
What do you think “going steady” means??? You’re literally watching a PSA about dating and relationships!
How do you say goodnight?
Uhh, maybe... "Goodnight?"
Haha I watched these videos like 7 months ago? I can't remember when but I couldn't help but laugh at the entire thing and show my girlfriend!
React to Jumpsuit and Nico and The Niners by Twenty One Pilots please
There is nothing wrong with a guy holding the door for a woman. That's the sign of a good upbringing.
Ryan Walsh Anybody can hold the door open for anybody. Just good general manners, I don't think the gender matters.
Agreed. But it is sexist in a way because it's like women are unable to open doors on their own.
John Smith Or its just someone being polite.
The concept of PSA s is so weird to me, like we don't have that in Germany 😂
We don't have them here anymore either haha.
It's weird to me too because you would expect people to learn these things from their parents.
cracks me up...would be cool to go back in time to see what it was like back in the golden age
Do this video with Elders and Adults!
Elders react to these PSAs
Yesssss
Doesn't the social courtesy guy kinda looks like Tom?! 😂
I'd love to see an Elders React to these PSA's next.
Can the elders please react to this.
How does everyone learn about dating now? All the teens found the first two films completely unhelpful and silly, but what is the modern day equivalent?
RG Fleuridor Probably a mix between what they see on the internet, what they see around them (friends, family, whatever), and common sense.
Yeah what the above person said. You just do what feels right as well. Like my first relationship was a total mess so it is also trial and error tbh.
To myself, I never go out on a real date before since I've been single for a very long time in my life.
I love how I casually always watch these PSAs
Sure common sense. Yet half the teenagers right now are lacking in manners so yeah?
Kafka So true
Hi person scrolling through the comments
IM a big boy Hi there
Shut the f up
zedo parthenon what did I do to you
Somehow I've always liked Jordan and her reactions whenever she appears.
Elders react to 50s PSAs!!!
I've been dating my boyfriend going on 7 years and he was my first boyfriend ever. I'm 21
You mean back in the day they help you with dating? Where are these for those who need it these days?!
Can you do a teens react to traditional goth bands, such as Sisters Of Mercy, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, Siouxsie And The Banshees, The Cure, etc...
the elders should react to the teens reaction
