Ok, Daniel Fortune needs to get some real praise for these brass and organ hymn settings! WOW! From an organist, these are absolutely incredible. The music all-round was just fantastic. And the Widor VI was the perfect cherry on top. Brilliant service! the Holy Spirit was clearly in the room :-)

The Brass Band at the beginning is very good! Also the choir bevor entry and special the pianist of the choir. but all music was generally good 🙂

As a former Episcopalian, I have three questions about ordinations in The Episcopal Church I've always wondered about. Maybe some folks can answer them for me. 1. Why the long procession; can't many of these people be seated prior to the liturgy? 2. Since ordinations are celebrated in the context of the Holy Eucharist, why do the principal celebrant and concelebrants vest in copes and not chasubles? (Wouldn't chasubles show the connection between the sacraments of Holy Orders and Holy Eucharist more clearly?) 3. Since bishops are always chosen from the presbyteral order, why does the Book of Common Prayer call for the bishop-elect to be vested as a lay person rather than a priest? It seems that the bishop-elect should be vested as a priest prior to the laying on of hands, and then the pontifical insignia (i.e., ring, mitre, and crosier) added after the consecration.

As to your second question, the celebrants at the Eucharist change from copes to chasubles during the Peace for the celebration.

Thank you so much for your answer. As a follow-up….so why don’t the celebrants and concelebrants just go ahead and vest in chasubles for the whole Mass so they don’t have to change in the middle?

In the Episcopal Church (being “The Middle Way” between Roman Catholicism and Protestantism) there is a tendency to try to balance Word and Sacrament. One way this is done is by not wearing the chasuble during the Liturgy of the Word. @@rdm47579

Maryland knows how to pick them; this new "bishop" has a tattoo and a pierced nose. Nine years ago their "bishop" hit a bicyclist, killed him, and drove away from the scene.

@@thomasvanantwerp728 " Generally speaking, most employers echo the sentiment of the CIA and are looking for well-qualified, dependable candidates, not those who are tattoo-free. However, it is important to know that every employer has the right to establish and enforce a dress code, and tattoos and body piercings fit under that umbrella."
As a former Episcopal Rector of the River Parishes back in 1986, I have witnessed the transition of TEC from a male dominated church to a female one. All rectors since my time as rector have been female.I am sure that Bishop Carrie, with or without a tattoo or nose ring, is qualified for her elevation to be a bishop.
