CAF qualifiers are rough. Ending in 5 head to head matches like that is pretty harsh. Also top 8-10 teams or so are all pretty evenly matched.

I saw two Cameroon games in Qatar (Switzerland and Serbia). There were bitter Algerian fans in the crowds at both games cheering against Cameroon. I saw a few testy interactions between them and Cameroon fans. If they think they got robbed, talk to Irish fans about the Thierry Henri bogus goal that cost them a WC spot.

There is a big fault on the 1st goal of Cameroon (the Cameroonian player has pushed the Algerian defender with his 2 hands on his goalkeeper where the loss of the ball of the goalkeeper). 2 highly questionable penalties for Algeria not verified by VAR. Otherwise big lack of concentration of the Algerian defenders in the last seconds and the big mind of the Cameroonians who believed until the end. Congratulations to them 👏 What is sure is that Africa deserves more than 5 small places for the world.

This is injustice! the referee canceled a legitimate goal for Algeria and accepted an unjust goal by Cameron without going back to VAR! Also, the referee robbed Algeria from two valid penalties! Where's FiFA!! This is a disgrace to Football and makes me stay away from Watching it anymore!
We demand a replay of the second leg between Algeria and Cameroon as there is an arbitrary injustice. Cameroon’s first goal should be disallowed as Mandi was pushed into the keeper by a cameroon player. The referee refused to check VAR despite the Algerian players asking to check it. Slimani’s goal shouldn’t have been disallowed as it was perfectly legitimate and didn’t hit his hand. However, there were 2 handballs from cameroon which were clear cut penalties that the referee refused to check VAR for again. Slimani and Belaili were evidently fouled in the box and the referee again refused to even check VAR. I haven’t seen such a robbery in all my years of watching football. I’m not Algerian but if my country had to experience this I would be fuming. Algeria showed true heart and grit and my heart goes out to all the Algeria fans. I hope FIFA make the right decision and replay this leg or they will lose all credibility.

I'll agree that the first goal for Cameroon was perhaps unfair, but the Algerian defender was holding on to the Cameronian player steadvast. If the Algerian defender was smart he wouldn't have stood strong against the Cameronian and made the case stronger for the referee to judge that it was the Cameronian attacker that was pushing the defender.
I'll have to agree that the Algerian team was complaining and arguing too much about the referee decisions and in the end they score a goal fairly and immediatly waste the next few minutes till a minut of the last injury time was passed. I get it that Algerians are emmotional about football, but this is unsportsman. Then in the end suddenly the cameronians score a goal, because the last Algerian defender wasn't paying attention to offside positioning of the Cameroonian attackers. So what goes around litteraly comes around in the end.
