#sublimationhack #dtf #sublimation - Jak na to + styl
Thank you so much for this! I have been trying to find exactly these instructions. Great job!
Thanks for the video! I saw a TikTok where she tape a sheet of sublimation paper to the back of the DTF to allow it to go through the printer with no roller marks and she did not cure. I just ordered the supplies so I will try both methods. I love the painters tape hack, less work ♥️
Thanx 4 the tutorial Patrice i just did my 1st one and it turned out pretty good 😘
Thank you so much! You answered every question as I had one!
👀👀👀 looks like I’m going to have to try this out. Thank you for sharing❣️ I love when you have lab days! They open the flood gates of creativity! great Day!
I’m so glad you shared this , I can now do it lol I have these items in my Amazon cart
Great idea Patrice. Thanks for sharing💞
Ok I ordered my supplies, you keep making me do these things! Ordered Ss6, black diamond, now, DtF sublimation. Love you lady
I did it cause Eve didn't go live tonight! Love the process-it worked great. I'm so excited to try it on more substrates.
This looks Amazing. Thank you for sharing!
You did your THANG! ....Very creative thinking.. Craftable Things!!!❤️👍🏿💯💨
Great tutorial. Thank you for sharing.
Hi when you get the roller smudge...cure it and then gently pick off the little bits that are sticking out. And if you get the larger roller marks ..they will not adhere the powder as there is no ink there. Your 'Gnome' looks amazing
thank you for showing us, did you use your regular sublimation with the adhesive, you also did a good job for being the first you did it👍it showed up really nice on that t shirt, thanks again for sharing with us .
I'm impressed as well. I definitely need to try this out. Thanks for sharing
Great tutorial Patrice. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you so much for this information
Funny thing about your video is that I did this a few weeks ago and then found this video. Wow! I am amazed! My only problem is the rollers and my printer size. I got to go Bigger than 8.5x11. Much success. Hit you with a follow.
Love it!
thank you for the tutorial..
Can't wait to Try 💞💞thank u🌹
I need to try this!!! Thanks so much for doing the video!!!
yes!!! try it!!!
Great video. I'd be interested in knowing how it holds up after washing.
Awesome Job
Love this method. I didnt have any roller marks though
Very nice video thank you for sharing you explained very well Good job
thank you!
Thanks for the video. How do you like the heat press so far?
Thanks!
Cool Thanks for all the info
Thanks for watching
Do you think I can use the DTF method with my sawgrass sublimation printer?
Awesome video. On the Big Boi website they have black adhesive and white. Does it matter which one to use? I have a sub printer. Can the white powder print on a dark shirt?
You mentioned removing the wheels on your dtf printer. Could I remove them from my sublimation printer? I tried the easi subli and got wheel marks also.
Thank very much new to the game
Thanks for sharing,I think I will like this better then eco solvent,if it pass the wash test.💜
thanks for watching!!!
Hi thanks for sharing, what program did you use to print that large? I have a WF 7610 that will print that large.
You can change the printer settings to “thick paper/envelope” to help with the roller marks. :)
How
Cool I'll try that
@@Texaschic79915 on my Epson eco tank I go into the printer settings on my computer, then go to maintenance, extended maintenance, and select “thick paper / envelope”.
@@KateB2309 hello , I changed to that setting and just tried this… I see lines in the image. It only happens with this DTF film. If I print on ASub paper it’s ok
@@annacoronado1338 did it work for you ? It didn’t work for me
I am so impressed every video that I have looked at is only doing on a white cotton shirt, what about dark colors
Hi, so do I have to remove my roller in order to do this process?
Could you press this on top of white htv if you did a darker colored shirt?
What about fumes when you use the heat press to cure?
Thank you for a professional and informative tutorial! I subliminate and was interested in the DTF hack, but it doesn't look like it can be done on black t-shirts, right? I see the benefit is using light colored cotton shirts with sublimination, where before you would not be able to sub on them... if I get this correct.
I’ve wondered how well this works! Sorry if I missed it but will this only work on white/light?
Wait! You remove the rollers from the printer ? I have a epson 2720 can I do that too ? I am getting them pizza wheels , not attaching a paper to the dry film. It worked like 3 times then all of a sudden pizza wheels. I tested with regular copy paper and no pizza wheels only when using dtf
Do you like the HTVRONT.
How does it hold up after a few washes?
Can you use this process on colored shirts
Do you press adhesive side up or flip it like with sublimation
Have you tried maybe eco solvent with dtf ..?
Can you suggest me the best T-shirt printer I'm on budget
I need some help I got a speck or cracked kind of look. I don't know what I am doing wrong or different. I have cured until vibrant with 385 on the heat press then press. I have cured at 350. All still the same outcome. I feel like the cracked look is from the powder curring only particles of the print. I see you have it too and not on the parttbthatwas dropped.
cool shirt, have you washed it a few times yet? How is it holding up?
What is the texture like?
Is the ink side on the shirt or facing up when you go to press it?
thx for sharing
thanks for watching with me, Sam 💕
Hi Patrice! Thank you for showing us this process! I was thinking about this, but never did it! Now wondering how it looks with multiple washes?
I’m going to try with an inkjet printer! Why stop at sublimation. I’m thinking the inkjet ink will not be wet enough to powder and cure..
It’s only been washed once and it still looks great. Please let me know how your test works!!!
@@tralosum9854 Have you tried it with inkjet?..
Hi, any changes in colour after 4 wash?
Is it sublimation ink or regular ink jet ink?
How do you like the HTVFont press?
Can you put on dark fabric with this method
Can we do this on dark shirts
game changer
Can you get white dtf prints doing this on a black t shirt?
Can you use it on a dark shirt?
Have you thought about painting the back with with dtf white ink for dark colors
It will smear the original print
I use the et 1500. I can not get the 11x17 film A3 to print the same size I have on the design. Everything is set for A3. Keeps cutting off the edges of the picture.
I can print with A4 and have the same size print without cutting off the left and right edge.
I see you use the Super B. 13x19. Does the A3 11x17 not work.
I have learned to get this down, but my a3 prints are not there. Tried every setting. Won't print full size. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your videos! They are very informative. I am completely new to the sublimation process, so this might be a newbie question but what software do you have your graphic design pulled up in to print from? Again, thank you! 🙏❤️
Hi Tracy! Welcome!!! I use Adobe Illustrator. However, if you are simply printing pre-designed images, you can do that in softwares like MS Word. Other programs that you can use are Silhouette Studio, Inscape and/or Canva.
@@CraftableThings awesome thank you! I create my own graphics in procreate but I wasn't sure if I could just print my graphic directly from procreate or if I would have to transfer it to a software like adobe illustrator or inkscape first and then print? Any suggestions on that? Again, thank you so much for your help!!!!! 🙏❤️
GREAT VIEDO AND INFORMATION
thank you for watching!
@@CraftableThings Always.
Have you thought of using laminate sheets or plastic paper holders to print on? They might melt, but i haven't tried it.
Hi, can you edit this design? Great video. Thanks
Ohhh I'm so excited about this! I am wondering...does the white adhesive powder show up or act as white ink if you press a design with white parts.. like onto a colored shirt? I've never played with DTF powder (but you can bet I just ordered it off Amazon!) Love your content!
No it doesn't act like white ink. It will skip over, so whatever the shirt is it will be that color. I use it with sg500 which has no white ink.
Will it work with my Sawgrass printer?
How did this last after washing?
Greetings Queen. Love your videos you are one of my favorites. Did you do a wash test for this hack? How did it come out if so? Im very new to the game. I was given a bundle of materials for $100 which was God sent lol. But i dont want to spend extra funds until im sure about what exactly whats what and weigh my options. I thank you so much in advance.
I am interested in knowing how many washes will this shirt hold up?
Thank you for this video! A couple questions -
1. I saw it had only been washed once and looked great. Any chance it’s been washed more times and can get an update on how it held up?
2. You mentioned the film can be costly - can you use sublimation paper and the powder and get the same results?
that is what i was thinking could you put the adhesive powder on the sublimation print itself and press it?
@@dianepotter2266 Hello, it would seem to me that the sublimation paper would dry to quick to apply powder. Mine does.
Really want to try this but the products aren't cheap here for it. Wish me luck
Did this image hold up? Did it fade?
Did you ever figure out the roller marks?
HI Patrice. This is an excellent opportunity for us folks that wanted to get into DTF but couldn't get the printer! Question, any suggestions to get the PET film to be recognized consistently. I only got mine to work one time, and the rest of the time it is registering as a paper jam. :(
saw another video where you tape a sheet of paper under to make it go through
@@Julie-jy3jp I'll give it a try. I was trying it with A-Sub paper, but maybe copy paper will be better.
Game changer
Yes, I see just tape copy paper to it….
Consider using two way tape between the papers.
I CANNOT get my Epson F570 to print on the DTF film. 😢. Any ideas.
Nice Job, question... did you wash it? what happens after wash it?
Only once and it stayed the same.
Question. I bought some transfers of ETSY and they are very light and ghosted. What did I do wrong?
Load 10 or more pieces, goes right through without problems.
How dies it hold up to washing? Thank you!!
I’ve washed it about 3 times and it’s still good.
Well I’m trying this dtf / sublimation and it’s not working for me. Looking for videos to help me troubleshoot. I changed the temp from 400 to 300 and time from 60 sec to 20 sec , then 320 for 50 seconds and it still doesn’t work for me
This makes me want to buy another sublimation printer
Is it possible to convert a eco tank printer into a dtf printer, instead of using sublimation ink, just use dtf inks instead?
czcams.com/video/-OoKNn-TKgA/video.html its her video about converting her epson into a dtf printer. Hope it helps.
Thanks for this tutorial. How long did u leave it under the press for curing ?
for about 2 minutes
What about washes? Have you washed it any and if so how much and what does it look like now? TIA
I've washed it about 4 times. It's still the same so far.
I didn’t notice when u removed the film after heat press, is it better to remove when hot or better after it cools down?
Hey Juana! Let is cool down before peeling.
You can scrape the marks off the film so they don't press.
great advice!
Hey I have an epson 2850 can I convert it to dtf or just us the method you are using with the sublimation ink
I wouldn't convert it.
You can sublimate on any blend from 60/40 up to 100 percent polyester
Yes, you can. I've shown different blends on my channel. The difference is that the colors show more vibrant when it has a high polyester count.
What is purpose of printing with sublimation ink first and then DTF powder? Does it feel different than straight DTF on cotton? Thanks.
You don't have the expenses of dtf. The software and having to buy a dtf printer.
@@shatanyas OK but you must understand that this method is only for the white garment for the simple reasoning that a sublimation printer cannot print white.
what screen are you using? i never seen that one. lol
How did it wash did it fade?
It has not faded.
So you can use a sublimation printer for DTF
Hi, do you know what's the DTF black powder for? And will the white powder works on dark color? Thanks
I was wondering the same thing!!
I found that the black powder is basically a gimmick. No reason for black vs white that I've found
Was that on cotton?
I've have noticed the shirts are in black and white but I would love to see a DTF on a different color shirt like red, yellow or even blue.
I have a live not too long ago pressing a red shirt using TRUE DTF. The hack only works on certain colors.
Can the film sheets be reused?
No.
