Like the new dice you are exactly like me it can end up costing a lot if the game has a lot of sides but i do like each one to have its own set of dice 🎲🎲
Oh no the end if the playthrough with 11 turns still to go 😉 but seriously many thanks for your effort much appreciated look forward to you your report when you have played it with your group to see how the dynamic of the game changes

It seems like quite a bit of DIY rules work is needed for this game. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but I can see it leading to frustration for some.

The vast majority of rules are unambiguous and I think work well. There are just a lot of little imprecise corner cases, and lots of errors in the out-of-the-box documents.

I have just abandoned my first play of this game. It is just too fiddly and in my opinion it needs an App to trace income and victory points. I was playing the campaign solo though.

Slightly confused re the Roman initial Special rule. I thought ANYONE could go ANYWHERE in Roman territory?

I'm not sure what you mean. Units cannot redeploy anywhere. A leader stack can during a leader campaign, but not other units. They have to move using movement points. The special rule lets all Western Roman units redeploy anywhere instead of using movement points.

@@CounterAttack thanks for that. I just thought it meant the Romans could redeploy anyone & everyone to wherever they liked?

Plus the initial battle had 5 Persian unite. Stacking =4?

If I had 5 Persian units in a battle without a leader, that was an error on my part.

@@CounterAttack no problem. Would love to here your AAR from your game. I have it set up on the dining table, but finding the rules impenetrable!
