Amazing projects! in my opinion mast porfile plays a huge roll on top speed, the main reason why you are not able to catch windsurfes is because the mast profile. the wings and fuse are super well build and are pretty thin in my opinion, i have been kite foiling for a while i use Ketos foil freerace, let me know if you want some measures to improve your projects. i have never built a foil but plenty surfboards! Good work!!!
Thanks for the Tip, indeed the thickness of my mast is a lot more then my wings, im currently on a 15mm thick mast. Now i have to find someone willing to let me mold their racing mast, then figure out how to make it stiff enough. A real challenge that i will have to face at some point.
Hoping to follow your example and build a kite foil. I found some nice tapered hardwood end-table legs at Lowes. This might dive you a ton of sanding on your next build
Sorry ive been busy and didn't get around to making the video yet but quickly explained: basically the flat side (top side) of the stabilizer is 0 degrees relative to the fuselage (fuselage angle is clearly visible in the plywood layers of th fuse). The profile curve of the bottom side will generate juste enough lift to keep your foil stable and neutral feeling throughout most of the speed range. If you want something a little more stable with increasing front foot pressure as the speed goes up you can make the flat side -1 degrees relative to the fuse. Same goes with the front wing, the bottom side of the wing (flat side) is at 0 degrees, as you round the bottom leading edge it'll add a slight positive angle to the chord of the wing. Hope this helps.

Have you thought about 3D printing a form then wrapping that in Carbon Fibre?

A tapered table leg could be a good starting base for sure, then glue the wings on later. Best of luck with your build!

Why use carbon if it’s gonna have a plywood core?
To maximise rigidity, fiberglass could also be an option but it would be heavier and less stiff.
