I know lol it's great. His whole "over it" attitude and nonchalant way of describing things makes the history he's teaching and the presentation he's trying to... well.. present far more accessible, easy to listen to and take in. When your listening to someone who's taking everything extremely seriously and talking to you like they're going to test you later you don't want to listen to them. The way Kevin masterfully dictates is a true skill and a rare trate in presenters. I admire him greatly for it. You should check out his new CZcams channel (thehistorysquad). I'm not affiliated with them or anything. I'm just a trucker from Canada (which incidentally is where Kevin lives now lol) who admires this great man.

@@dylanmcwhirter9844 that's hilarious. I'm not directly from Nova Scotia because I was born in PEI but most of my childhood and teen years were in Nova Scotia. Specifically Yarmouth and Wolfville. To your question. Kevin's bow is made of yew. You're not going to find that in Nova Scotia but you are going to find an overabundance of sugar maple. It's not the best wood in the world for a bow but it's the best you'll find in NS. Make sure you seal your ends when cutting the stave though. Sugar maple tends to lose its moisture extremely fast. Good luck!

you don't have to imagine- I had several throughout my time in secondary school. Even they couldn't make you listen if you had no interest in the subject whatsoever (Or where looking to not listen). The problem is not just with crappy teachers who think that being jovial in the presence of children somehow inspires juvenile delinquency (They certainly exist) but also with a general trend towards anti-intellectualism. We live in a culture where lots of adults still refuse to believe anything they can't "see with their own eyes"- like viruses- and think that experts who disagree with them are part of a conspiracy to stop them being "free". It isn't just the schools that fail children, it's also their parents

I would plan a trip to England just to hear this in person.
It’s wonderful to see someone passionate about what they do for work or as hobby and you can see it come threw by the way he talks about this and you know he’s put a lot of thought into this over many years I’m sure and it’s seamless and engaging to listen to the way he engages.
I love history and like the man said you won’t find much better history then English history.
On a side note I can’t tell you how angry 😤 it makes me thinking about someone fire bombing that tree 🌳,
What kind of tit would do such a thing?
    Makes no sense?
That someone took the time and put the effort into it just annoys me to no end.
That teee can survive for 1000 years threw wind and storms but in a single moment a man could wipe out the history of this tree as of it were never even there and think nothing of it.
What joy could be got from the distraction of a thing that is literally living
    History.
At this point in its long long history it’s become much more then just a tree and to want to destroy it with nothing to gain but the pleasure of destroying something beautiful just shows how much longer man has left to go and just the types of people that are all around us.
The loss of this tree would be cause to morn.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK I'M TRYING TO DO?!" Why was that so funny? Because he's a Brit, that's why.

I mean, the French were the first to recognize the USA as a country, and also sent money, supplies, and weapons to the soldiers to fight the Revolutionary War. I'm a South African living in the USA, so i don't really have a horse in this race, but i always wondered why Americans don't like the French. There were many French students when i studied in Japan, and they could all speak English and Japanese, and were some of the nicest of all the western students. And the French girls were all stunningly beautiful. I know it's a small sample size, but they were really cool.
