I’ve never liked this kind of radio, and morning radio “characters” even less. Even late night stuff was tolerable for me as a kid/young adult only because that’s all there was. As soon as I heard long form podcasts where 2 or 3 people just had a conversation for 2 hours, I realized exactly why previous interviews I either was dissatisfied with or abhorred, because they were always an interview of some
Sort where there’s a guest and a person asking questions, often with some sort of agenda or at least direction.
I watched Howard Stern a lot late at night I think on E as a young teenager cuz I was often up late at night alone and it was the most adult thing around, but I never liked the spectacle, the purposeful edginess and trashiness of it, and I’m very alone in that. And I’m not at all a person who gets offended, I was damn near bottle fed on George Carlins specials; but none of this stuff was cerebral or real or natural or long enough. Actually the best you could ever find for a while was Fresh Air on NPR, but that still was an interview, and Charlie rose and inside the actors studio but only because they were long form and non-commercial; but still one sided.
After podcasts, never ever is there ANY fucking reason to listen to radio type shit or late night bits.

I don't know how it happened but I stumbled back on to Howard Stern recently and I can't get enough. I remember watching on E!, really late at night with a buddy of mine back when we were kids in the 90s. And of course the amazing movie that is Private Parts. We used to listen to the Howard Stern show before and after he went to XM/Sirius on the 20 minute drive to school every day, throughout that excellent "golden age" of radio with O&A and all that, very early 2000s. He really broke the whole concept of what it meant to run a radio show.
It'll be a very, very weird thing when Howard Stern retires from radio.
Anyway, Louie is also the greatest comedian of his time and from watching random Stern interviews as well as Louie comedy and clips, I have arrived here. Can't wait to see this.

We can assume from his word choice that he was probably jacking it backstage to frightened chicks as far back as 2012. At least I think that's when this aired. One of those frightened chicks could have been Sarah and that might be why he never got to bang her haha.

I’m sorry to say this about Louis CK cuz he’s a legend to me, but he will do his best to get you fired from your job if he doesn’t like you, and that is well-known, so that’s why nobody could say anything.

Fuckin stern. Don't understand how people call him the best interviewer ever...I mean yes, he gets good material out of the people he interviews, but he asks questions so fast and so often with little consideration of CK and other's answers that I can never relax and enjoy the conversation... And yet still grateful that this interview occurred.
