Simsie you don’t have to confine yourself to a budget every time you build! Have fun with it! It’s more entertaining for us and less stressful for you :(
@@PeytonOrr I don't think the budget limits creativity necessarily, especially since she wasn't aiming for a starter again, but when she limits herself in other ways, such as which packs she's using, it's better to let something give. In this case she did give up the budget eventually but I really wish she'd used more Cats and Dogs as well (and given up on the budget from the beginning since she was already limiting herself with which packs she was using.)
You know what really grinds my gears about kits? We have yet to get a lifestyle clutter kit. Everyday objects that normal humans have- like a jewelry box/stand, more shoes (maybe in game ones), brooms/mops, lil workout equipment, a collection of records, a diffuser- just normal everyday clutter. This kit is cute tho.

I was a hospital baby, not St. Jude, but for the first 7 months of my life, I was in and out of the hospital every other week, and to this day I still struggle with health issues. I am into my 20s and my parents and I are still paying off medical bills from when I was a child and I can't tell you how many families and children's lives you are going to change with your donation. I am so proud of you!! Also literally started sobbing when you said how much money you had raised lol
why do you always want to make cheap houses? I think that sometimes you can make houses without thinking about it... otherwise the decoration is similar to other houses you make, same sofa, same rug and etc! I would love to see you build houses without worrying about the values :))
Same. I think she does it because some people don't want to use the motherlode or freerealestate cheats but I've never been one to play without cheating. I'm always using motherlode if I run out of money.

I think it’s great she’s so considerate for ppl with only base game or with a small amount of other packs but I wanna see her be creative and make build that look like actual ppl live there not just homes that look like they are staged for someone to buy it lol like she was getting into storyline about the sims that would live there but she stopped herself. I'm one of those who doesn't use the cheat and then work my way up as a challenge. For that I'm grateful for creators like simsie who makes cute builds that are cheap. I see a lot of creators in the gallery with huge budgets but I get your point
I'm not sure how difficult it would be to do, but what if they made wallpapers with the edges like counters and cabinets? Like the little menu with all the different corner options, then you could either pick where all the edges go and autoplace would still be an option. I hope they maybe do something like that in the future.
Tip! I was trying to make a whimsical looking room for my toddler and I used the blanket fort tent from the little campers pack and used the bracket key to shrink it down one, and then put the cute popsicle stick toddler bed from home decorator inside and it looks absolutely adorable. I made the area on a platform too, used the white swatch for the blanket fort and for the toddler bed. It looks so pretty. And it's so cute to see the toddler walk into it🤣
i actually love the floor plan and exterior and yard layout you chose so much! the floor plan feels so realistic yet clever, and with better (not basegame, lol) furnishings it would look really nice. yay!
To make it more colorful/less boring you could always use the stuff from the Paranormal and Maximalist kits! I feel like the cozy vibe of some of those items works well with the color swatches from the backyard pack. Also how cute would the tent be inside in a kid's room? 😊
Making me feel like I have bad taste over here, lol, I quite like this build! Yes its plain and simple but that's OK - its exactly what I would expect a mid-range suburban family home to look like. Mom and Dad make a decent living but they aren't racking in the simoleons, they bought the house during the bubble and so the mortgage is a little bit high, yet they've still managed to craft a space for their family that has all the necessities plus some luxury items. I just bought the kit; I can legit see myself using this one!

I love that gate with that fence. It reminds me of a grandma who just goes to Home Depot and buys something that’s available and functional without thinking about aesthetics.
If you wanted to use the swing, you could try shifting the house/lot forward a bit and extent the backyard instead? Or shift the built out side piece, closer to the front of the house, and use the extra space in the back for the swing set, instead of having a big front yard too

i'd like to think at this as a house owned by a couple who foster lots of kids. That's why they have so many bedrooms and bathrooms, and that adorable courtyard. They just want to give a safe and happy place to all their children
I like that they basically spent all the money on the kids, like the backyard and their bedrooms. I like the idea of playing there and upgrading the rest of the house. Or put it in the world and use it for a DHD sim!
I might buy the kit just to download this house because I think it's one of your better ones! I know you didn't think it was the best but I think it's up there. The shape was a classic Simsie shape, but the floorplan was more creative and realistic. Yeah it could've been more colorful, but my IRL apartment lacks color too, so apparently it fits my personal taste😅
Not going to lie, I’ve been binge watching your videos. I even listen to them while I’m playing. You just make decorticating and building look so fun! Im starting to build my own houses in the sims now (they’re not great, but we’re getting there). I used to just buy a house and furnish it with just what my sims needed. Now I actually put effort into them.
I'm the same way about wall heights! I use almost exclusively small because of the window options and I really like cluttered/stuffy? builds it just feels so homey. Medium is even too big imo, all that wall space, making the furniture look small and just not enough to fill the room? Personal preference overall. Maybe I should try a manor or castle build sometime for medium-high walls xD
you should relocate the door to the master bedroom to where the current kid's desk is (so it opens up to the kids room & washroom corridor) and move the desk to where your bookshelf is by the stairs. then you'd get a bigger nook for the desk.

Why does Kayla think we’re not all cheating money constantly? I do like this build but don’t know why she always has to stress about money which just means we’re seeing the same sofa, rug, plants etc. Sometimes it really feels like she’s trying to make sure she gets a video out everyday rather than creating slightly better quality builds. I love watching lilsimsie but I really hope she’s not feeling a pressure to post a video everyday. These comments are more general than this video specifically. ☺️

I love how you managed to put the fairy lights in the backyard, but I still wanted to say that there really is a pole (although brown) in the debug that I use to hang lights on very often. There's also wall decorations that you can use to fake a headboard and side boards for the bed too!
There was an IRL house that was already a daycare that had a picket fence, but they were painted to look like crayons 🖍! That would be a great fence to add to a toddler/kids pack.

It really isn't a bad house at all! Some fairy lights in the darker kids bedroom and a few more splashes of color on the walls would give it the bit more personality it needs. That's something easily changed after downloading it. It has very good bones. I like the layout and the way it fits on the lot.

Wasn't it kinda like that in the sims 2? I think that would be great but we aren't probably gonna get that in the sims 4.
Or go with Sims 3 option and just give us separate wallpapers for each variant so we can place them outselves how we see fit!
