Buffalo Roundup - Custer State Park

- Every year cowboys and cowgirls roundup and drive the herd of approximately 1,400 buffalo. The round up is used as a management tool to maintain a strong and healthy heard.
This year we were fortunate enough to attend the buffalo round up and take part in one of the 'chaser' vehicles.

Hi Sharon, we were lucky enough to be working with the South Dakotan tourism board and were given press passes. There are two viewing areas open to the public each year where you can watch the roundup.
