AZHT: How to get a horse used to the blanket - Do this before putting a saddle on them

Before putting on a saddle make sure your horse is used to the blanket. The horse should stand still while you tap and rub them with it on each side, under the belly and on the rear. You obviously don't want to be too aggressive with it but put some life into it. Some blankets are stiffer than others so the sound may vary but the overall goal is to get the horse comfortable with it before putting the saddle on.
As always it takes time, patience, and consistency!
