1/ Love the GMT in full yellow gold & black with jubilee bracelet. Would have liked to have seen the RootBeer with a jubillee now (oh well). 2/ Love the SkyDweller in green on steel with jubilee. Would have liked to have seen the blue-teal rose gold SkyDweller on oysterflex to pair it down a bit. 3/ Nice job on the 1908 (aka new Cellini's....aka the Rolex Calatrava). 4/ Not fussed on the Explorer and Yachtmasters, but I get others will enjoy them. 5/ The new Daytonas very subtle. Devastated to see the end of the Daytona Meteorite Dial (noooooooooooo!!!!!) was waiting on this for a year. 6/ The new Oyster Perpetual - fun but not for me doesn't quite work, some may love it though....could have looked better on a datejust with a jubilee. 7/ The new DayDates....love the dials, but wish they offered these in 40 without roman numerals and diamonds....8/ Sad to see the end of the Milgauss...for now, it will come back (in the meantime i love my Z-Blue!!).

I love my Daytona, but Grand Seiko just trumped it with their new Tentagraph. And it includes a 4:30 date window to boot! And for half the price. It will be my next chronograph, and it will actually be accessible to buy.
Oh man that metal edge around the bezel is a huge issue for collecting dings and wear marks. IMO….it adds nothing and becomes a liability. The biggest “fail” is the beautiful organic case lines have been butchered into a now blocky supercase look? The 11 series Daytona has now become incredibly special and “THE” SS Daytona.
They did discontinue the platinum Daytona all clean baguette dial without the subdials. Instead, all current platinum Daytonas have the brown subdials. I like the discontinued version better, looks cleaner and accentuates the diamonds baguettes better.
For the emoji Day Date I reckon they should've done a world timer. Instead of a puzzle motif they could have enameled a map of the world, keeping the light blue colour background as the ocean. But in the day aperture they could've had the name of 7 cities which when turned, activates the digital hour in the date window corresponding to the time of the city selected relative to the time displayed. Now that would have been a cool complication.
I believe ceramic is also crack-prone on hard impacts. More pliant metal handles the impacts better and distributes the forces to a much larger surface area to protect the ceramic. A ding on the metal is a small blemish, but the ceramic cracking is a much bigger catastrophe.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see a triple date 1908. I think the series is going to go towards more elegant luxury in their lineup i.e. triple dates moon phase, maybe even triple date chronograph. Could be their more complicated line
The issue of not being able to buy on aside..... 40mm Explorer: I actually love this one the most. I get the thrill for small-dial field watches but I would prefer something with a bit more legibility on larger wrist, and a 40mm Explorer would be ideal for me. New Daytona: love the new dial design, sizes of font, subdials, and markers are more balanced than the older version imo. Yacht Master: love the inclusion of titanium, should make the YM an even more comfortable wear and an ideal daily wear. Yellow Gold GMT Master II: always love more variety on GMT watches. I favor the two-tone jubilee bracelet because it has this immediate eye-catching charm. New Sky-Dweller: not really paying much attention to the Sky-Dweller line before, but again, always love more variety on GMT watches. New Dials of Day-dates and Oyster Perpetual: hate them to my bones (especially the new dial Oyster Perpetual) just like I hated the flower motif releases last year. Probably a twist to attract younger Gen-Z consumers, but no offense those dials are ugly as hell and they simply do not fit into the more timeless and signature vibe of almost every other Rolex product line. 1908: not into dress watches right now so no comment.
Rolex replaced a large piece of platinum that was the back cover. Now they replaced it with a piece of crystal that is the same cost as the front crystal on all their other watches - obviously not as costly a a solid piece of platinum. When it is on my wrist I cannot see the little window . the old version should be worth more dollars.
I'd don't mind homages, I own Rolex, Omega and other Swiss watches but I can't afford them all so, for around the house why not. The questions is, how long before the gum ball homage dials hit the market? Days, weeks, months??? I'm going with weeks and not many of them.

I don’t think they usually use a gold rotor. Still, I don’t think that makes up for the lost precious metal weight of the caseback.

The revised Daytona with the metal-framed ceramic bezel and the "Zenith" markers looks very nice.
