brilliant film
Masterpiece
So, essentially, Fassbinder was the original Xavier Dolan? That's bad ass!
Both sadly never getting the recognition they deserve.
yikes
@@astafford2901 I think Dolan gets way too much recognition than he deserves
Goddamn it, his movies hurt too much.
A very important, serious and real question: What would you think of someone in a parental role over a 12 year-old boy, bring that 12 year old to this film in 1975 after the 12 year-old expressed confusion and curiosity about his sexuality? At the time, was it a true look at gay relationships in a positive, neutral or negative light? I can watch it today, but the politics of the time is what I wonder about.
This movie shows the truth of the situation of society In Germany, then and until now. Feelings and money are shown as a conflict. You, as a human being, will be exploited too, my little son ...watch this movie........be prepared how people are, how gay people can be..so educate yourself as good as you can...
Yeah... it would probably be better to show that kid Love Simon
gay society is a microcosm of the world. Gay people are not immune to dehumanizing superficiality, materialism and utilitarianism.
