- I misspoke myself in the video, and I didnt want to redo the video. The car was built by my friend who works at a local Hotrod shop. Not built by a local Hotrod shop. I would give him a shout out, but he doesn`t like the attention. Lets just call him big guy. We did end up painting the car the next year. And I got all my medical bills paid and I am doing fine. (Except for a broken heart from selling my 55)
Oh man so sorry you had to sell your 55 . It was looking great . I'd be Heart Broken also for having to sell it . Hope your medical problems get taken care of and you are able to get another 55 soon . Awesome video .

Im a big fan of 55 chevys. I have a few in my collection. In the past Ive sold vehicles because we needed to money. Hated to do it. However it seems there are always viable projects waiting to be purchased by the right buyer.
Nice 55 hope your medical situation gets taken care of. I just purchased a 55 in my price range it's got all the typical rust so it needs everything near the ground. Your 55 looks like a really great one to start with someone will be very happy to own it.

My dad loved a 55 Belair 2 door hardtop ! I was going to buy him one for his retirement gift at 65, but he passed away at age 64 of a sudden heart attack ! My plan & GODS where different I guess !😭

I've been waiting since high school to work on my 56 Chevy.
Now at 61 years old ,and with the help of my wife and children I am making the vision of what I wanted my car to be all those years ago.

Actually it never made the reserve price. So I never sold it. I did get my medical bills paid, it just did financially strap me for a little while. I actually got the car almost done. I probably will still end up selling it, because I really need a newer truck. And my truck is over 20 years old. I hope your project goes well.
