@@dominicrich All good! If you like it, that's great. For me I was let down by Electronica, he rapped really uninterested on more than half the tracks and talked about hardly nothing. Crazy how he has this opportunity after all these years not releasing work. Just can't take this after all these years, Jay-z featured on every song damn near makes the experience worse imo even though he outperformed Electronica on majority of the tracks. I think maybe Electronica wasn't exactly what we thought he was back then idk..

In music I guess there is some crossover with the underground or conscious rap but basically Jay Elec is on a different level with the samples, flow & meaning. Art House cinema would be the difference between watching Sin City and Avengers: EndGame - as a quick off the top example.
He did have bars and bangers IMO but again that is all down to taste. On this album there are examples of that, but I would agree it is far from his best and he has shown far more potential in the past. Exhibit C and Eternal Sunshine... for instance. Amoung numerous other tracks, if collated, would have made for a better album. RE the waiting time it was a let down, but I'm grateful he put something out. Jay Elec is a top 5 rapper to me. Hov has stayed active and has evolved in sound and in consciousness constantly over the last decade. He's been extremely nimble and adaptable, and introspective while growing wealthier this entire time. Jay Elec has presumably done nothing but sat around and rapped over a few songs a year and hasn't had any artistic development. So of course comparing him to Hov would be like comparing a bicycle to a motorbike.

go bot he’s not a Roth he was fucking one and so what again the material was more so for jay z to make the statement through jay elec. jay z has stood next to high Jewish figures in rap music for awhile but now all of a sudden you align yourself with Farrakhan? Yes jay has made 5% references in the past but the statement is made way clearer on this record. For whatever reason and some of this direction is on 444 as he’s calling dudes out but this is way more aggressive approach. Not only is jay saying I’m standing with the FOI he’s also responding to ppl within his camp (Roc nation) that showed they weren’t with him with the nfl deal with the whole civilization beinging destroyed from within bars on first song. ofcourse Jay-Z is outrapping Jay Elec on here he’s the one that has a point to prove which goes along with what the guy said. We probably would’ve never got a “solo” Jay Elec project if it wasn’t for the purpose of helping jay z say what he had to say.
