Kiln opening! Using Amaco, Mayco and other glaze, including a new glaze combination!

In this video I share my glaze combinations. I fired this kiln load to cone 6 on medium speed in my skutt kiln!

Beautiful glaze combinations. Loved the last mug, called gunmetal.
I too find the glazes with crystal's can be too much, so mixing with the same base glaze is a good way to thin them out.

I’ve used Sax Jet Black Underglaze and I like it! I get it off Amazon and it’s quite inexpensive compared to Amaco. May want to try it out.

Kim, have you tried Magic Water for your handles and attachments. Use instead of slip after scoring. Thanks for your vid’s. #tinyheartspottery
Magic Water
Water - 1 Gallon
Sodium Silicate (Liquid) - 3 Tablespoons
Soda Ash - 1.5 Teaspons

I haven’t, I will have to try that! I use vinegar and it usually works very good! The studio is so dry in the winter which I think is the biggest problem!
