    You gotta love Phil's sarcasm whenever he waves to the crowd LOL!

    That Garden crowd was fucking ELECTRIC! There is no better venue in basketball than Madison Square Garden, especially during the playoffs.
    If you're a Knicks fan, and that crowd doesn't give you goosebumps at 6:27 you have no soul. The roof came off of that place. Christ man, I miss 90's basketball so much. This was an AWESOME series! I LOVED this Knicks squad!

    Best seven game series ever!

    I counted at least 4 flagrant fouls that were just "hard" fouls back then. The Pistons & the Knicks were brutal.
    The Knicks were also a good offensive team by todays standards. Look at the good ball movement. Basketball at its peak.

    nothin gets you more excited than a bulls/knicks game, especially in the playoffs. it always seems like almost every game is close the entire time!
    marv albert, mike fratello and ahmad rashad were the Dream Team of commentators. i love marv's dry sense of humor when pippen didnt pass to jordan on the breakaway dunk! LOL

    MJ's first step was so quick at 6'6 he made Starks fall without the use of a crossover.

    Such a GREAT series! Even as a Knicks fan these were fun, and painful to watch.
    I'm hoping, this year, we get a playoff series, like this, with The Heat and The Knicks, just with different results.

    Bulls vs the Knicks was the ultimate matchup. The NBA is no way near as good as it was in the 90s

    I forgot how much the Garden was rocking back then. Regardless how much the Knicks suck these days, nothing can match the intensity of New York City basketball.

    *sigh* The good old days. I'm a Bulls fan, but for those few years, Bulls/Knicks were must-see games.

  • @jordanlover23
    @jordanlover23 Před 16 lety +2

    LOL Jordan dropped Starks at 2:39. he just accelerated too fast for Starks and Starks couldn't move his feet as fast as his center of gravity wanted to go, so he fell.

  • @GialloHorror
    @GialloHorror Před 11 lety +2

    I agree, maybe with the exception of the 1997 squad that got fucked by David Stern against The Heat. But yes, Jackson was better than Doc Rivers and Derek Harper. Xavire McDaniel was miles ahead of Charles Smith, and Gerlad Wilkins was better than Rolondo Blackman, especially on defense.
    The 1992 team was definitely the best defensive team the Knicks had while Ewing was there. Hell the1992 team could be the best defensive team in Knicks history. They held The Bulls to 90PPG in this series.

  • @THETOYOTAable

    if the kinks keep mcdaniel, wilkin,m'jackson , the knicks they'll win the championship in 94 and 95.

  • @GialloHorror
    @GialloHorror Před 11 lety +1

    Pippen was average? LMAO! You never saw him play. HE averaged almost 20 points a game and 7 boards. Not to mention he was one of the best defensive players in the game. This Bulls team crushes The Heat. Hell, this Knicks team crushes The Heat. Bosh would be destroyed by guys like Mason, and Oakley. Lebron would be malled by X man. Ewing would've DOMINATED.
    The Heat would have a slim chance of knocking off any elite team from this era.

  • @westy44cal
    @westy44cal Před 14 lety +2

    This can't be the NBA. I don't see any tattoos, or fashionable band aids and all the players can actually formulate a sentence and don't just say "you know" and "know what I'm sayin'". They also are not pulling guns out in the locker room over a card game. These reasons above are exactly why you would see a flagrant on X-man and a Tech on MJ. See back then the players werent animals like a few are today. Whats funny is the tugs we have today would cry like bitches against these Knicks or Pistons

    Madison Square Garden was a tough place to play, especially in the playoffs. It was a very hostile environment.

  • @dorkod

    back then players would take hard fouls like REAL men and sprint to backcourt to defend. not like today where players waste time complaining to refs.

    You didn't show X-man's 3 point play. Good clips otherwise.

  • @alec9tap
    @alec9tap Před 12 lety +1

    yeah but Pip and MJ defensively would neautralize the Heat...Pip would do to Lebron what he did to Magic and MJ would dominate an inconsistent,often-injured D-Wade...Horace Grant> Udonis Haslem,Paxson > Chalmers, Cartwright > Joel Anthony lol

    NBA players can't do anything today..even the slightest touch is a foul..back then people were getting pushed..karate kicked on dunks and nothing was called. NBA basketball during the 80's and 90's is nothing like todays soft NBA rules.

    I am a huge NY Knicks fan and i am saddend by the decline of the team at the moment. But I have heard that a certian LaBron James might head to the big Apple in the next few years and if that happends the rest of the NBA better wtach out.

    @77danigga haha you're out of your mind, no offense, 90's series are the best ever.Not the shit is today , just a bunch of muscles dunking and jumping and forgeting that the first thing is the team. Lebron is just that , where was he in the finals? You put Lebron in one of these bulls-knicks games and he couldn't even breathe
