Challenge idea: borrowed setup. Find a couple of pleasure anglers, preferably before they start so you have no idea what they have, and then borrow their kit and bait, and fish a match with it. Optional extra, you can take and use something from your own setup if you want, but you have to gift whatever it is to the pleasure angler at the end of the match.

I have a challenge idea. Multi-lake or river numbers match. For a fish to count it has to weigh more than the previous fish, 1 point per fish you cannot put back a fish because it is too big (so the early 5 pounder could be an issue!). There are 5 bonus points for the smallest starting fish and 5 bonus points for biggest fish of the day. Once you have cast in you have to catch your next fish at that venue, You each get 1 joker card which can be either to not count a fish or to move venue.

loved fishing there as a child staying in the bungalow and running out at 6 to fish in the brook and then going on the pools lovely tench pool that one all the weed that used to be in there was brilliant and tons of crucians on the other pool

I remember when they first made this pond at Barlow. Was dug deep and filled will loadsss of stocked Tench and a few bream. The tench didn't do well as the was being caught all the time but the fishing was good

Whys Jamie using the mtx3 pole instead of the mtx5 is it just a marketing thing so it looks like he normally uses one or is it a better pole than the mtx4 and mtx5??
Has an MTX3 for those really windy days, or places where you really abuse poles, or as a back up. Just happened to get it out on this day.
