for one of the indicate all true statement questions e.g. the box and whisker diagram, would you get a mark for getting 1 right but 1 wrong also? or is it an automatic fail for that question if you dont get both right?
Hi Megan, you need to get both correct answers to be awarded 1 mark, 1 correct answer doesn't get you anything I'm afraid.

Hello, I have a question related to graphs on the QTS test, cannot find the reasons why anywhere.
The question is based on a line graph. Along the X-Axis are:
Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6, Year 7, Year 8 & Year 9.
The graph doesn't start until its above the year 2 line. The question asks you to at which point the school makes the most progress, its obvious where it is.. HOWEVER It goes up from the line of year 6 (so i thought that was the answer) the correct answer is 7, but that's where the 'most progress point ends' confused why it is year 7 and not year 6.
Hopefully that makes sense! hard to explain on here.

Hello, I have just noticed the question is actually in this video. (40.45)
I am confused why it is year 7 and not year 6. My reasoning is surely the year in which the progress is made is that of year 6? and year 7 does even start until that is finished?
Hi Chris, yes the answer is year 6. You can tell from what was previously said that this should have been the answer but a slip of the tongue at the end of the statement and the reader said year 7.
so the answer to question 27 is year 6?
Hi , the question 21, it says half of all the people in the year group.. not clear..!?
also, for question19 the right answer is 5603.4, it did not ask us to round off to whole, then how would we know when to round off the decimals. In the practice test I wrote 5603.4 and it showed as incorrect answer. Any clarification would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
In the practice test, at the end of the question it will state the format for the answer, like round to 1 decimal place or give your answer as a whole number. I noticed he doesn't have that here and I think he is just focusing on helping you reach the answer or the method of calculation.

@@mehnazakhtar9707 you can work out the answer in two ways:
1) take off 1% of 5660 K to get answer as the question asks:
so 1%*5660 (which is basically divide by 100) = 56.6
and subtract from 100% (total amount) to give 99%:
5660 - 56.6 = 5603.4K
or
2) rather than taking off 1%, think of the percentage they need which is the remaining percent after removing 1% so its 100%-1% = 99%
so 0.99*5660=5603.4K

@@9TeaBiscuits That would be the case if the question was - how much Krona did they have in *total* or as a *group*?
but the question is - how many Krona did *each* pupil have?
*each pupil* means for *one pupil* or think of it as *cost per pupil* (as they all have the same amount individually).
For example, if you buy a pack of 10 sweets for £1.80, then how much does each sweet cost? - its asking for the price of 1 sweet.
