Thank you so much for this. I plan to do this trail myself in a couple of months and can't wait! You bring so much positivity to your videos. I find them really encouraging as a solo female hiker. 😀
Love the GGW and the trailblazers guidebooks so much better than Cicerone. They don't have the catalogue though that Cicerone do so sadly have to make do with Cicerone on many trails. Good start to your walk always enjoy your videos keep sharing your adventures on YT! 🍺😎
Thanks so much! Yes I have noticed that. I loved the Trailblazer guidebooks. I had to get Cicerone for some upcoming walks so I guess we’ll see how it goes. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😁
Looks like a great start to the trail Shan 😊 not a bad diversion, the old shipwreck looked interesting. Lovely stretch along the canals. Nice spot to pitch up. Where about are you from originally then?
Looking forward to the rest of the series Shan. Would also love to hear how you compare it to the West Highland Way. Did you stay in the UK and do it shortly after the WHW?
I stayed in the UK for several weeks. I walked across town and started the GGW immediately after finishing the WHW, so same day. :-) it was a beautiful walk for sure. Flatter than the WHW in spots but no less beautiful, esp when you get to the point where you can choose the high route or the low route.

Thanks for watching and commenting! I’m from Florida. :-)
Really impressed how you pulled it around after your early problems on the whw, definitely maximised your visit to Scotland 🙏
Thank you. 🙏
You certainly made the most of your time in the UK Shan. Looking forward to seeing your latest adventure unfold.
Thank you! It was a wonderful adventure! I’m excitedly planning my return!
Really beautiful countryside so far on this next leg of your walk! I even went back and enjoyed it a second time.
Thanks so much Cynthia!
Can you share where you got your guide book?
